When I was in grade school we took a field trip and saw the making of the movie and then the movie itself. I've been obsessed since then. I'm pretty sure this is the behind the scenes I saw 30+ years ago.
No way that’s so cool!
Very cool!
LUCKY!!!
Super cool! I wish I could have seen the film in theaters, but I didn't get to see it until it made it to VHS.
Was this in New York?
Watching David Bowie in this movie really makes me want to see how Lord of the Rings would have been like if they had chosen him to play Lord Elrond. He commands such a powerful, mysterious, mystical, ageless presence when he's playing King Jareth, especially when he is being domineering.
He would have made a great Elrond.
Bowie would have been a good Elrond for sure
As long as he wore the same pants.
Jennifer would of also been great as Arwen
This is a lost art now. The puppeteers, designers, imagination of these people
Wished David Bowie played in more movies like this
Definitely agree
Me too.
I hope david knew how much we loved jareth
I've always loved the labyrinth. I was literally obsessed with it as a kid, still am, I will never not love this movie
RIP Jim Henson. This was one of my dad's favorite movies and he showed this movie and The Dark Crystal to me when I was five years old.
I love the dark crystal!
I can't believe this movie flopped on first release. It's been one of my favourite films for the past 30 odd years.
I think because at the time it was too hard to categorize; too dark for a children’s film but too fairytale-ish for an adult’s film.
Time proved it wrong. Great movie.
Ha, never imagined it was bowie himself making that gurgle noise on dance magic. Terrible shame this movie didn't do better in theatres. If it had maybe Jim Henson would've worked on another film.
I am 17 rn and saw this movie when i was 11 and its better then new movies. My kids are gonna know this movie and grandkids. I love it so much. Anyone else around my age or younger know it?
Yup! I'm 16 & grew up with this, probably started watching it when I was 5 and kept watching it more over the years
i watched this when i was 8 for the first time, 16 now. This movie i just fucking love it man it's bloody brilliant
My thirteen year old knows it. Doesn't love it as much as you... but then she has no taste! :D
I'm 15 and I grew up with it. I plan on doing the same
19 and just recently discovered it! love how this movie attracts all ages
He had no business being that handsome🖤😂
Hands down favorite movie of all time. It’s like a sensational dream come to life!!
One of the best childhood movies EVER!
"We had to run auditions ..."
*Shows live chicken*
😂😂😂😂
That chicken was lucky to get the part, as it wasn't too fussed, but her friends kept egging her on.
I love practical effects from 80-90's indeed.
I love how nothing is cgi
The owl is CGI
I still watch this movie! Just introduced it to my grandkids
much better without CGI loved 80s movies 👌👌
My mom would show me this movie since birth and now 18 years later I’m still obsessed with it even tho I get sad when I see it for some reason 😭
Wow I didn't know Jennifer was 14 when she was in this I thought she was 17 or 18
The fire gang always did, and does generally frighten me. I don’t know what it is, they just scare me a lot
One of my fave movies growing up.
I"m fascinated by how much gates mcfadden from star trek the next generation shows up in this. She worked with a lot of the choreography of the puppets
me too! it was such a fun surprise seeing dr. crusher just pop up in this
So amazing that this iconic film was filmed in my hometown but to see that clip of Jim Henson riding his bike around the Elstree studios that I always walked by. Amazing! 👏💗
Black Velvet in that puppeteer's smile! 😁🔥
I used to love watching the behind the scenes making of movies. I want to be a filmmaker so I learn a lot from watching these
Jim Henson is a genius. I love all of the things he has done. I never get tired of it. And I love The Dark Crystal.
I could watch this Behind the Scenes again and again ...oh wait, I did!!! I watch Labyrinth at least once a year and laugh each and every time. It's a classic! David Bowie, Jim Henson and the crew how can you go bad??
Never knew Terry Jones (RIP) of Monty Python was involved in this film!! And Gates McFadden from Star Trek Next Generation too!!!!
Дэйвид Боуи так здорово сыграл в этом фильме! Я была очарована им, а также красотой Дженнифер Коннелли 😍
Да, от нее просто не оторвать глаз. Как и от Боуи.
Jennifer was only 14 damn she looked so much older than 14 I swear
I absolutely love Labyrinth for so many reasons, but Jareth and Sarah’s “love” story just captivated me, it really shows that sometimes no matter what you feel, you have to keep moving…I really wished Jennifer would’ve been a tad older so we could’ve gotten that kiss that was deleted…would’ve added more meaning to that fantasy dream
My first fav movie! I was 5/6 I am now 34
Did David Bowie say he kicked a baby 😂
Yep
My goodness Jennifer Connelly was such a beautiful teenager at that time (she still is beautiful of course). If you look at David Bowie when he talks about her he did notice too. And very much so.
"If you look at David Bowie when he talks about her he did notice too. And very much so." Well this is a deeply creepy comment
Im so happy they made this behind the scenes movie for one of my all time favorite movies Labyrinth! 💖💋😊🌷🦋🌈🐻
It’s fun listening to Kermit explain the movie.
oh wow, seeing Ludo's face being put on @10:17, so interesting and strange!
I was 6 years old when watched this
Still watching 💕❤️❤️💕❤️
This movie I remember this long time
Was my favorite of all
who knew there were so many puppeteers in the world?!
They could REALLY make films back then. Now? Too much blood to 'make it look real'.
I miss movies like these.
One off my childhood flims.
An Amazing Film, I didn't know That x2 Actors played David Bowie & did the Effects the 80,s Effects are Awesome.
Jennifer Connelly amazing
Pure magic
The first film I saw Jennifer in was Dark City, and I found her ridiculously beautiful. She has good taste, too. Most of the movies she is in are excellent.
My favorite movie!
Maravillosa entrega 'Laberinto' 💙💙💙💙💙
Never realised mcfadden worked on this. Beverly crusher :-)
RIP Terry Jones
Is my dream seeing making.of every movie. For exemple.the labyrinth it makes me.cry for.the.excitment seeing the.making of the labyrinth so.awesome one and 2
10:41 Eyeball Lichen is quite satisfying.
Kermit the frog at 15:48 :)
I still can't believe she was 14 year old *
@williamandaudreymenjivar85: I know what you're saying. Her rackage looks like it's at least 18.
@@jaydee4009 👀
Quite interesting. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@22:38 Gates McFadden!?? From *_Star Trek TNG?_*
It would be nice to spell Jennifer Connelly's name correctly in the title.
Her name is Jennifer Connelly, not Conney. Fix your title.
Jennifer Connelly, not Conney.
It`s *Connelly* NOT *Conney* ffs
It's Jennifer CONNELLY (not Conney).
I have Theory event in the future Toby would look like the Goblin King you know kind of suggested by the lion he says when he's looking at Toby you have my eyes a lot of different things to like having blonde hair and like the same lip shape and all the other things
Is it because of the practical effects that we go along hoggle seamlessly?
💓💓💓💯 4:41
The ale magical argoument preeacher il good.
First comment guysss..... And remember me
'Ello.
A mage become say nknow him less
Traducete in italiano grazie
Better: Labyrinth, or The Dark Crystal?
3:07 )))))))))00
say's Behind the scenes with Jennifer Conney... hmmm, I didn't know Jennifer had a beard while behind the scenes... Wait... she directed the movie!?!?! no way!
Fix her name in the title
2022 every one of those hands would be charged with sexual harassment
ha ha ha
Her last name is Connelly, not Conney. Might want to change your title.
What a shame that the movie bombed.
the only thing that kept me watching was Jennifer Connelly lmao the whole sh*t show was cringe
must resemble your life.
It’s hard to respect a shit opinion :/
