One thing I am confused about is why the SLX version is $800 more than the Deore. Isn't the price difference between those components about $130? The Deore model is a killer value.

Most likely drivetrain alone is only $130 more, but all the other parts are another $700 more.

I've got the ripmo deore build. Runs great. Dump the noisy stock vented brake pads for non vented and replace the flexy stem.
