Richard Gene is the reason I went out about 3 months ago and bought my first fishing rod. He made it look so fun and relaxing and entertaining. I used to play a lot of sports when I was younger and now I feel I have something that I can channel my competitive energy into again.I just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. When I first started watching your channel Richard I knew little to nothing about catching Crappie. I now know after watching and learning from you I can catch a crappie All year long! I live on the Tennessee River and my family has a dock and I have witnessed many a rude fisherman from getting onto our dock and fishing without permission to casting onto our dock. Little do they know I’m a fisherman myself ;) I love your morals and values and I strive to hold and keep the same ones as you. I wish every fisherman was as courteous as you and I.
Well I just want to say they don't need your permission .you own the dock not the lake. The law is they have the rights to fish your dock. if they step on your dock there trespassing! But I hope they're not rude to you and I hope you're not rude to them. Share the lake enjoy the lake

Thank you Mr. Machine. I have learned so much from your videos. You have cut out the learning curve for me and so many others. Lessons that would take many hours on the water to acquire, you unselfishly pass on to your viewers. You produce results day in and out under some of the toughest conditions. You have really broke the sport of fishing down, to make it what it should be. Simple and enjoyable. You catch fish without a 100 k boat with another 10 k of equipment on board. You make it clear to your viewers that it’s not how much or expensive equipment that you have that makes you a good fisherman/ woman, it’s learning the conditions and understanding the clues that Mother Nature gives us to find fish.
For all of that, I am grateful.

I just took my 11 year old son fishing for some giant bream the other day. We put them on ice immediately to put them to sleep, filleted them, and cooked ‘em up just like you and Jimmy did during your crappie catch and cook video.

I know you're going to make a vid of the canoe creek boat landing 😉. I used to fish there with my pawpaw and my dad years, and years ago when the stumps were still there. Stumps not there, and also not my Pawpaw! But the crappie is still there. Good memories 🙂. God bless you Gene. You remind me of my dad.

Hey Richard I really enjoy watching and learning from you brother. I live on smith lake here in cullman Alabama. I’ve been here around 10 yrs and still haven’t got smith lake figured out. I was raised in Athens/Rogersville Alabama and fished the Tennessee and the Elk river and smith lake is nothing at all like what I was raised fishing. I’d love to take you out on smith and let you teach me a thing or two. Keep on keepin on brother god bless you and yours
