5 DESSERT RESTAURANTS YOU MUST VISIT (and eat) BEFORE YOU LEAVE SYDNEY | Sydney Food Guide 2020
I used to live across the street from Koi. Literally, the apartments across the road. Their choc chip cookies are the best in the area.
oh i didnt know choc chip cookies are a thing there!
I’ve been watching all of your videos in quarantine and putting my bucket list together for places I should go. Thank you for some amazing ideas!!!
Great video! :-D I laughed a bit about the part with $9 AUD being pricey.... And I was surprised about the prices at Koi.. Thats cheap for that kind of art... Maybe im just so used to everything being expensive in Denmark..
Its surprisingly cheap yes. I would be happy to pay double the price for it '-'
Oh I'm so glad that you visited Flour and Stone! Definitely one of my favourites in Sydney! Also, in terms of recommendations - if you're a doughnut fan, Shortstop is a must!
Omg the lemon curd tart and the ginger creme brûlé tart looks so good 😍 I’m a huge dessert lover and I’d be in my glory with all those delicious desserts
the lemon curd tart is my go to !
this is the video ive been waiting for !!! ☺
Just subscribed. Enjoying these videos.
Janice is a classic.
Your video quality is really improving! Love this!
thank you!!
I'm from Sydney and I agree these ones are a must try!
Those desserts looks so good, and I can't wait to visit Sydney Australia, because it looks so fun and a beautiful city.
it is :)
Salivating throughout this entire vid :OOO
lolllllll
I am so checking out these places when I come over especially Koi Kitchen. How much was the milkyway and Mr pistachio? Both look divine. The watermelon one looked yummy too. Ohhhhh mannnn can't wait.

Janice Fung it’s my pleasure!!
Ohhhh...
Love This.!! 👍👍👍
Thank You.. Janice
thanks for watching!
I love how you are such a simple and down to earth person. You make great videos featuring places that I haven’t been to in my own city ❤️
Nani14054 Well said and I agree with you!
@@markc3947 I see a lot of female youtubers who make travel vlogs and they use so many filters, thick makeup and shallow clickbait that it creates an illusion. Janice keeps it real Xxx
thank you for watching! nothing wrong with make up though :) just gotta do what makes you comfortable :D
Love your videos, new subscriber from Tasmania, thanks for sharing💕😀
Thank you for watching !
Wow your video is so clean and informative. I wish one day my vlogs looks like yours 💜
Cheers thanks so much!
any desserts with pistachio is a winner!!!!!!!
oh wow! everything looks so good, I think I drooled a little watching this video. but the Lamington grabbed my curiosity ever since community channel talked about it so many years ago...she never made that lamington video. I am hoping you make one for all us non-aussie people :)
Yes the lamington is sooo nice!
I used to watch community channel religiously and I too and still waiting for her lamington video
I love dessert! have been to all those places except the "Flour and Stone", may need to check out next time!
Yeah you should! It’s really good :)
Glad to see some of the places I go to on here :) Was thinking maybe Lorraine’s Patisserie and Kurtosh could make the list? Part 2 maybe?
ah yes lorraines patisserie was on my list too! i'll probably do a part 2 :)
And can you do more Cafe's and restaurants in Sydney videos, LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH 😍😍❤️❤️
ok i'll see what i can do!
Queens Pastri House in Ramsgate is one of my favourite you should check out! Lovely pastries and tarts
Wooloomooloo? 🙊. I bet this video was fun to make! I’m dying for those pistachio and passion fruit desserts! And the cheesecake looked awesome. I’ve never had a lamington as they are not common in the US but I’d like to try one.
do give lamingtons ago if you visit, i think it's definitely worth it :)
I wanna trying a dessert from KOI too 😍
i'm drooling 🤤
Love this!!!!!
Cheers Amy!
That pistachio dude looked so fluffy. 😆
let me know if there are any other places you reckon i should check out! thx

Janice Fung Check out the cakes at La Renaissance Patisserie in the Rocks. They are miniature works of art, and they taste as awesome as they look!
Baker’s Oven at the rocks, their pecan slice and banana bread is to dieeeeeeeeeeeeee forrrrrrr
Messina, Saga enmore or the one in Darling square, the parfaits at Dopa by Devon
DFO Homebush please
Great list! I appreciate the dedication by braving the horror that is driving and finding a park in Surry Hills, haha.
Hahaha thanks Caroline 😂
OMG YAAAAYYYY IM HERE 🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰
hiiii!
I'm drooling 😣
Koi Desserts all look so fancy & artistic

Yeah I’ve had this requested a few times by different people, Thanks for reminding me ☺️
omg everything looked amazing...... I'd love to visit Sydney one day just to try these (much love from Los Angeles!)
When we can travel again, you definitely should!
I'd trade all the desserts here in Sydney for In'n'out.
2:53 looks creamy rich in flavor. Love these type of desserts. So good but so lethal if eat too much lol.

you did a great job with this video
Cheers Garrett !
WoW...everything looked so delicious. I wish I was her assistant that day.
I recommend you to try The Sweet Spot Patisserie in Randwick
Thanks Albert!
Hi Janice, have you ever tried the Uncle Tetsu cheesecakes on 501 George St? I totally recommend it. Fluffiness: level hard.
Omg yes I love them!
There’s a Black Star Pastry in Rosebery near Messina Gelato (HQ). You should think about checking out Messina in Rosebery when they have their Filipino BBQs days. I haven’t tried the BBQ yet because of the huge crowd and lines but maybe you can sus it out for a mix of both desserts and bbq. 🍖 🍨 😊
noted! thanks for the suggestion i'll definitely add this to my list
Omg yummmmm
yeahhh
I could listen to her talk.....24/7
Yummy!!
yess it was so good!
Did u see Reynold Poernomo when u were in the koi dessert kitchen?
Thank you I live in Sydney and wasent aware
no probs!
Dolcetti at Wareemba (north of Ashfield). Best ricotta cheese cannoli ever!
Ooo noted! I’ll check that place out!
Cow and Moon gelato in Enmore!
Yes!!! I’ll be doing an ice cream vid and that will for sure be included.

Nice places to enjoy all

I’ve been here since like 20 subs, I love how much your life was changed and evolved. Kinda miss some of your old videos though. Was looking for a specific one but I can’t find it anymore 😂
Hey I remember you! Yeah I took down those videos because some of them made me cringe more than usual when I rewatched it haha

It’s so good though
@@JaniceFung The vanilla sponge is so good or me suffering after seeing you eat that delicious cake? 😂
10/10
I'm not a huge dessert guy, but those looked amazing! You "accidentally" ate 2 of those desserts with all that sugar!! Holy Kaboly I'd be bouncing off the walls for the next couple of days! But Wow... do they look good!
bahaha '"accidentally"
it wasnt that sweet actually which is why i liked it quite a bit :D
I need the Milky Way cake 🧁 in my life okay yummy 😋
rawr food!
yeahhhhhh!
Just arrived in Sydney and just tried the ginger creme brulee from #bourkestreetbakery and agree, it's aahmazimg! Thank you for the recommendation!
I think i gained 10 pounds just watching the video! If you ever make it to Florida, you will have to try the Key Lime Pie.
i know i gained 10 pounds making this video...
ok! noted
Janice, it's Haberfield, not Harbourfield. Just saying. Great vid!
My friend texted me the same thing! I’ve been saying it wrong for so long...
What about MilkyLane in Coogee?
it'll be in a part 2 !
James Postle what do you recommend from there?
Hi Jan! Do they have asian desserts in Sydney?
Yeah! I’m gonna do a vid on that soon 🙂
@@JaniceFung Thanks.
Omg, $9 is expensive?? In the US would have charged 20-30 per slice.
@4:10 holy fk thats expensive still it looks so delicious! 😂🤤
why using such an aggressive language that's not cool
@@jmt7046 its not aggressive. I'm a bunny rabbit. 😂👍🐇
Zumbo: "Am I a joke to you?".
Omg Janice. Im going to be so fat after I visit Sydney. 😥
you can do all the coastal walks and walk it off !
@@JaniceFung Yeah Sydney has some pretty coastal walks. I remember a delicious meal I had years ago at a hari Krishna place. Very cheap and the Indian food was unbelievablly good. Thanks for the response Janice. 😊❤
I accidentally eat to much dessert all the time too.
Hahaha “accidentally”
Im totally blaming u for the massive yearning tt i hv for that Strawberry/Watermelon cake! Hw can u do that to me???!!! Tell me den where can i get a slice here in S'pore????😤
Whooops my bad... I don’t think they have one Singapore though..
No they don't.........😭
Flour and stone beats them alllllllllll
their lamington is one of the best i've had
Hello hello hello........not doing so well! Where’s my cake???
Hello helllo hello
$8 for lamington tell em there dreaming love
Trust me it's worth it.
mailmastersmei you need to watch a classic aussie movie “the castle” with the catch phrase tell em there dreaming.
You are getting beautiful by the second
I have had the watermelon cake and ı thınk Its overrated
