- A lot of Android Apps to record phone calls just don't really work so in this tutorial I show you on how you can record phone calls without installing any additional apps! Use the inbuilt screen recording function for recording and the Dialer App for making calls!
As demonstrated on the Google Pixel 5, it works pretty work!
Please make a note to check laws on recording phone calls in your region. - Наука та технологія
While selecting screen recording you can also try with Device Audio AND Microphone without speakerphone but sound quality results may vary.
Thank you for the video, this works great. Especially since it's built into the phone
You're welcome!
Thank you for the video; it's very useful !!
💗😌💗
Thanks, good workaround. I wonder why they removed the built-in feature from Android 11?
I think it's due to the regulations but Google shouldn't limit what people are allowed to record with their device.
Thank you I'll try it
Seems to work. Thanks I've been wrestling with this for about a year. I want to record phone calls mainly for my business. But the new phone with Android 12 will not let me do that. This is at least some type of work around. Thanks
Not a problem happy to help!
Doesnt work on galaxy s23
Thank you for this. Much better than downloading 3rd party aps with scary access privileges.
Happy to help!
On my moto cellphone, I have screen recorder, but didn't work. I held down button but only had view finder settings. When hit the START, it came up with a blahblahblah message about recording everything. Did a tester calling a friend. Could only find the recording in internal storage. Played it but NO sound, even tho I had the speaker on during this all. DUH. frustrating
On certain android phones this will not work as it's disabled by Google.
Same android 14 grrr
Does not work with android 13 on my pixel 7. As soon as there's a phone call happening, the recording app goes mute.
Same here with my Android 13 since google play policy banned call recording. 😢
This doesn't even work on a pixel 4. Come on google!!
Yes Google has made it harder to record.
@@surfwidow every time you record a recording you lose quality. That's why it's important to have a digital recording.
@@surfwidow That's what I did. Those little digital records are much better, easier and faster to use anyway! I bought two already!
Thanks but Im guessing they figured out that people where doing this so they made a workaround so that it stops recording audio during the actual call. It records audio all other times though.
Yep A54 5g,, same issue doesn't work.
Hello. At the 47 second mark of your helpful video (thank you), my android does not show the record audio mic option or the show touches on screen. All it shows is the the same disclaimer paragraph and the start button. Consequently, when I record phone conversation and then play it back, all I get is silence. Please advise how to overcome my scenario so I can listen to my recording. Thank you.
I have the same problem.
It's not giving me the option to record audio. I press screen record and it begins recording.
I feel like people don't know that you must have it on speaker. Gonna try it and find out.
EDIT - Just tried it out, made sure call was on speakerphone. It worked. Big Ups/Thank you to MOTz for sharing this info!
Tried it, it didn't record the phone audio.
I guess that's why he is using speaker - that recorder is using your own microphone. Hance "workaround", not a real solution.
Gee, thanks Google for being pain in the mikta.
@@ogi22 No. it doesn't even work with speaker on!!!
@@johnsmith1953x I think you are right, but the voice recorded is awful... Just like it was through the mic. In fact today i recorded a minute of an audiobook to send to my gf (there was a nice quote i wanted her to listen) and it sounded like (i don't want to say).
So i don't know if it's using codecs from a trash can or something else.
This might be due to android os version you have / google play restrictions.
But it can work automatycally
Absolutely does not record audio on my pixel 5. The option to record audio is there, but it only records video of what you're doing.
I tried this on my samsung galaxy s22 ultra and no mic recorded any ideas why thanks i set it to media and mic
Might be something to do with the permissions.
Screen recording stops recording when I receive a call..
I cant find how to listen to my recording?
Android 14 A54 5G. Still doesn't work. Wtf. Google are intrusive
Can you work this with Bluetooth earbuds and if so how
No not possible.
Does it have to be on speaker or was that just so we could see in a demonstration? In other words can you just speak on the phone like normal?
I think it needs to be on speaker mode to work, when I try this on my Pixel 4A 5G I can hear my self but not the person on the other end of the line, since the recording is only picking up what it hears with your internal microphone and not the direct audio stream coming from the other caller.
It has to be Speaker mode.
Doesn't work. Only record screen on my pixel 6A
That's alot of hassle
Doesn't record the phone audio
I will try to find another solution.
Does the speaker function need to be turned on? And thank you
Yes
Doesn't work no noise just screen
It doesn't record the phone calls 😡
Missing live stream
I thought no one watched the Dota livestreams
@@MOTzTube does it record viber calls automatically as well?
It just records my voice.
I think for this to work you *have* to place the phone on speaker mode. That way the phone can record both voices.
How do you activate speaker mode?
Does not work
Dude..... Thank you
No problem!
I don't even have the little pencil OR screen record on my phone.
Depends on the type of phone. Some android phones have feature disabled.
This does not work.
It does not work for certain Android OS as Google keeps making changes.
screen rec is clever but not comfort
Agreed.
This doesn't work just so everyone knows. It only records the screen but not the audio
Maybe Google or your phone manufacturer has changed something.
@@MOTzTube It's the new S23 Ultra
This is what I have discovered too x
Nice but not practical at all.
That is the only workaround I could find.
@@MOTzTube And it's better than nothing. Thanks!
That Voice/ Accent forever is LOCKED in my brain as SCAMMERS. Videos phone calls even if I’m dialing my own bank I’ll hang up and try again.
