Hey guys! So, ive been practising with the pen tool using only vertical and horizontal anchors, which sounds easy, but I can assure you it takes a hell of a lot of practise to perfect. I am still in the learning stages and I am very new to this process so obviously it wont be perfect, but you have to practise to get better ;) I simply chose a random word to work with, wrote it out a good few times to ensure the flow of the letterforms was good enough, then went ahead and vectored it. Once I feel more comfortable using this method and I have gained more experience within it, I may do a tutorial as this is a very very useful skill to have if you're anything like me and LOVE creating type! I hope you all enjoy this, and I want to thank you all for your continued support, it really does motivate me to bring new content for you guys!

+hayden gordon Im not being funny but if you're really trying to advertise your 'clan' by commenting on peoples videos with a link, I really doubt you can "help me grow". Here's a tip. Dont try and advertise yourself on other peoples videos, especially when the topic is completely unrelated, you look like you're begging for people to subscribe to you. If you make good content, people will subscribe, it's as simple as that.
Have you considered commissioning your work to an app like 'Over' on the App Store?

Have you ever thought about making your own fonts?
MrAviRocks I have considered this yeah, in fact, I was actually going to try and create my own typeface, but it turns out it's a lot more time-consuming that I thought. I planned to start creating my own typeface a couple months back but quickly found out that simply designing the letters and glyphs then putting them into a program that links them to the key's doesn't do a brilliant job. For the most part, it works, but there is a lot more to it, these programs dont set the kerning, tracking etc between all of the letters correctly. For example, "it"

***** I consider myself to be yeah! I looked around and found videos, blogs, podcasts etc about hand lettering and taught myself how to do it using the information I gathered, so I guess that means I'm self taught? hahah
