I’m so glad I watched both the German and English videos. I really love the results in both of them. You have shared so ,any different techniques that we can then use in our own work. I really, really love both sets of ‘metal’ tags. You are the best. Thank you for sharing with us.
Aww my lovely thank you so so much this is absolutely amazing, I love that you found another way to do this without the tape it's genius and it's definitely the vintage photo 😂 it's just so beautifully grungy lol these turned out so beautifully grungy Luise absolutely love them, I'm loving that my name is on you wonderful creations ❤
Aww 😍 thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video!! I truly appreciate that and I love, love, love your work and all the inspiration you give!!
Sounds like this is a Toni appreciation day. Lol. I really enjoy Toni too. When she finishes a cluster or some other experiment that has made her happy, she lets out a little happy squeal. Lol. I love that part.
You just gave me a thought with your comment..... Have to think about it further, before I can speak it out, but I wanted to let you know that it's in my brain because of you
You are a mixed media PhD!!!! Thank you Toni for inspiring this wonderful technique! Love how you used what you had to create these amazing faux metal pieces
Well one Luise... I applaud you. Totally awesome, and I 'm glad you didn't put gold on all of them... I'm more of a silver and copper fan, although I think all metallic have their place. Thank you for sharing.
I like how you made this your own style and showed us how to use or own products. Although I really love Toni but I find myself not able to do alot of her things because I don’t have the same materials. This video helped me with that.
I would LOVE to come and clean your desk, Luise! 😉 In the meantime, I have to make an effort to uncover my own desk so I can try this very cool effect. Thanks to you and Toni for the inspiration! ❤
This was a fascinating video, I found it very inspiring because I was surprised at the result every time a new layer was added. That is so ‘Luise’ adding more and more after I would have stopped, ‘keep going’ is what I learn from you! They turned out just fabulous, I really love them!💕🇨🇦
Girl, I would literally buy a plane ticket to Germany and fly from the US to help you clean your desk! Love, love, love this mixed media deliciousness! You are a master “chef”! ❤
You are just amazing. You are precious and brilliant. I am so thankful for your in depth instruction. No one else comes close to your level of teaching.
Luise you nailed it! 👏 🤭 these are awesome! Thank you, I really enjoy watching your videos and listening to your thoughts as you create 😊 I'm going to watch the German one too, even though I don't speak it 😉 and Toni's also! Best wishes, Jane 🤗
The grungy textures and layers in your project is amazing! There aren’t words to describe how I adore the creations you share with us…..yummy goodness is the best I can think of. I have been watching Toni for a couple of years and she is so creative too. The two of you should do a dynamic duo UA-cam video together some day….wouldn’t that be a blast! 😁. Your take on Toni’s creation blows me away and I loved hers so much but I love yours just as much. Thank you for all these ideas…I think…because lately my brain is overflowing with so many ideas I have to write them down so I don’t forget…😂. If you’re now moved to the new place I hope all is going smoothly and you’re happy there. I can’t wait to see video of the new crafty studio too. Take care! 🥰
These turned out great. When you talked about the layers I remember how hard it was for me to cover up stuff that I already loved to continue the process lol now I just think well hopefully some will still show at the end. When you said you were going to use gilding paste I thought you meant around the edges so I was surprised to see it only used on a few faces on the die cuts which looked awesome. I really enjoyed this video and will have to check out Toni’s too. Thank Luise. Hope the renovation and move is going along. 😊
Toni knows, I’m a big fan of her, and I’ve mentioned you to her. She does marvelous work. You both are my big crush! I love how your pieces turned out. All my supplies are in a storage facility, as we’ve moved. After the furniture comes in, I’m hoping hubby and the rest of my family bringing boxes in, they will bring my art supplies to me. In the meantime, I’m making clusters, lots of clusters…. Hope the renovation is moving along swiftly and you’ll be back with everything at hand and out of boxes. So glad you did this project today, Luise. Can’t wait to try both yours and Toni’s methods. Love you, Luise-my artsy crush.
I watched Toni’s video as well and thought how awesome too but I don’t have that tape either. Thank you for showing us your experiments, they are so cool. It really helps me to experiment myself ❤❤❤
These are really cool. I love watching the creativity and hearing the process helps me realize how I really don't think like an artist! I'm just not brave enough to keep trying stuff if I don't know how it will turn out! I'm anxious to see these used. And wondering if you will decorate the backside or just glue them down somewhere! You are amazing. TFS ❤❤❤
Toni is great! Love that you put your own spin on it and showed a different way. Do you find that the clear gesso works better than collage medium? I have a hard time with steaks from the paint brush. Any suggestions? Thanks! ❤
Hi Luise, I wonder if silver gilding wax would have increased the tromp l'oeil effect as it would have matched the silver of the milk carton? Isn't there a TH acrylic paint of metallic silver as well? Anyway I'm sure Toni is veery flattered you gave her some confetti! Your generous heart shines as always!
We don't have the milk cartons like that. Cool that you have such great ideas. I have seen Toni's video . She's wonderful. I wonder if you could use a embossing folder on what you got? Is it to thick ?
Luise I love how you used what you have. So many can’t see you can use what you have. I enjoy watching Toni too. She is good at what she does too. I’m going to try this for sure. You could also use silver flakes if you have those on top of the die cuts.i see pink on your hand did you paint a room bright pink? Your hands look really red? Wooo we are getting a thunderstorm better get off here. Hugs from Indiana I’ll come back when storm is gone
Wow! This is so cool!🤩 I often use aluminum cans when I want something "metal". It's a great material for embossing with folders & die cutting. But it's tricky to get so much depth. Speaking of "depth"🙄... I have such a struggle layering. I love it when others do it... I understand the concept. I just have an issue...issues!... covering up something that looks really cool or that I'm proud of accomplishing. It feels like I'm "wasting" that time & those materials. The struggle is real.😳 lol I have to just get over it! And remember that it's the only way to get that beautifully aged, "worn over time" effect. I'm definitely gonna check out both Toni's & your German videos. I think I already follow Toni, btw.😉 Ty you so much for sharing your talents with us, all of it... "the good, the bad, and the ugly" (it's a movie title 😁). Much love & wishes that your move is on track, & going well! 💜💜💜
I totally get what you're saying, I often sit in front of a background and struggle with covering it up. Perhaps it could help you if you take a photo or even several photos of your steps, then go on with for example glueing something on top and later on you can see the different stages.
Love it!!! I love making fake metal stuff and now I have another one to try!! I have a question: is there a reason you selected clear gesso or could an alternative such as matte medium work as well?
So maybe we can watch the German video silent because I would not understand a word anyways and get some inspiration and see what you did on that one😉I do a lot of mixed media. Definitely mixed media, and the thing about that is nothing ever comes out the same even if u r trying so no worries, we all enjoy all of your videos
Another cool video! When you get situated and settled in your new apartment would you be willing to show how you store your stamps and dies? I am looking for a good way to store my Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz stamps but I don't want to use the binders.
Yes, I have already planned to film a room tour. My stamp storage is not perfect yet, but I want to use the chance to change with reorganizing my new room - but you please need to be patient. I am far from finished.
The tape is like aluminum foil with taping back. It is used on air conditioner ducts. It's also used for the exhaust on a cloths dryer or a water heater. I love Tony, too. She has great ideas and a great sense of humor.

These turned out so grungilicious and I Love them! I love watching Toni's videos too but somehow ive missed this one. I'm off to see it now. TFS 😊

Beautiful and brilliant! I'm a Toni fan as well. You found your own ingenious way to make fantastic labels. 😀🇨🇦💜

I love everything you've done here! I look forward to experimenting with these techniques and adding them to my mixed media projects.
Amazing. You did a wonderful job figuring out how to use what you have. Excellent
You inspired me and I tried this today. I had leftover die cuts I wasn’t doing anything with. All my tags turned out great-thanks Luise!!!❤
oh love these they are so Kool dear💖
That's absolutely beautiful. You are such a wonderful artist. I love watching your videos. I have learned a lot from watching you. ❤

Toni is amazing, but so are you!!🥰 you're too funny
I love your take on this, Toni can't be your crush because she's mine!! lol I'm off to her chanel to see how i missed this one. Thank you Luise
Very cool
I would LOVE to come and clean your desk, Luise! 😉 In the meantime, I have to make an effort to uncover my own desk so I can try this very cool effect. Thanks to you and Toni for the inspiration! ❤
These are amazing! Will be trying this and challenging myself to keep adding layers.
Ithink by using both videos they are excellent
Oh I like that the two of you have found each other, I have a crush on the both of you 🥰

Very cool pieces! I love your version of Toni’s inspiration. I love watching her videos as well. She has some great ideas.
The worst disasters often morph into my favorite pieces - that I'm unable to intentionally recreate.

I don’t know this Toni, but I saw Junk Journal Addict do a similar technique several months ago. I’ll have to check out Toni’s channel sometime.
lol I had to laugh when you said about your brain and mouth not working at the same time. I have take problem all the time.😂😂
Toni is great! Love that you put your own spin on it and showed a different way. Do you find that the clear gesso works better than collage medium? I have a hard time with steaks from the paint brush. Any suggestions? Thanks! ❤
Well, it's different, but both work. Try to use a sponge to apply it, instead of a paint brush to get rid of the brush strokes

I’m going to try using card that already has foil on one side, that I have saved from food takeout containers (salad).

@@luiseheinzl No problem, I understand you have many things to do. I am glad you will show us your new space sometime!
@@angelajoy4829 thanks for understanding
could you use cheap aluminum foil over the die cuts instead of the tape that Toni used?
That would definitely be worth a try
The aluminum foil is the first thing I thought of as well just fold it so it is a little thicker
The tape is like aluminum foil with taping back. It is used on air conditioner ducts. It's also used for the exhaust on a cloths dryer or a water heater. I love Tony, too. She has great ideas and a great sense of humor.
The problem I see is getting it glued down. Don't think it would dry? Maybe double sided tape?
How did that gesso stick to the plastic surface on the inside of the carton? Seems to me that it will cleave away…
If it doesn't stick by itself, take a sand paper to make the surface a bit rough
Very nice Louisa.
