Rob great video, everybody can gain a little insight from it. It's been epic fishing with and sharing information mutally with you and the rest of the "Let him take it crew". You're always willing to help the next guy, and that should be what this whole thing is all about. Thanks Bro 🤙🎣
I moved to Southern California about 7 years ago from Kansas. I have been fishing for about 65 years but never did any trout fishing to speak of. I am getting into it now because some friends of mine moved close to a lake that has trout in it near Yucaipa. California. So thanks for all of the good tips.
Hey Rob! Very informative video, this was extremely helpful! I'm actually going to be heading over to Big Bear lake next week so I appreciate all of the tips. Also for your next video, you should do a more in depth guide on how you use lures. Specifically spoons, since I saw you catching a bunch of trout on those RHA custom spoons. Anyways, thanks for all of the tips!
Another awesome video and Thank You for the net suggestion recently. My son and I went out to Prado for some cat and carp fishing a few weeks ago to check out some spots for the upcoming trout season there, looks pretty promising. Plus the mountain lakes like Big Bear, The Wood, Gregory and maybe green. Maybe take out the tube and yak 👍. Most of my trout fishing has been with a fly rod but wanna try something different this season. Thanks for more videos…
Thanks, I really appreciate it. Now that the season is starting up there are a bunch of different lakes to choose from and they all fish a little different. Get out there and tear it up 🤘
You are a true TROUT FISHING AMBASSADOR my friend!!!! Well done as usual!!! Always great times fishin' with the crew!! And you could have made fun of me for catching my PB 5 pounder on my ol' 4'7" ugly stick, but you didn't!! :) Until next time....
@@elgarza18 cut fish with garlic and my favorite cat spot is out by the spillway. Down on the rocks covered in cement east of the spillway. Thats the deepest part of the lake.
Thanks for this video! From a newer anglers perspective this is very useful. Do you have any tips for trying to fish trout in the summer? I know socal isn’t great, for it but is going up to Gregory or big bear decent during the summer? Thinking I should just switch to catfish for summertime.
I must admit I do enjoy doin a little catfishin from time to time. I actually did a video last summer on how to catch trout at big bear in the summer. I believe its in the “how to” section of my channel
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors I was just watching it actually. Lol. I’ll probably try some catfishing as well. Looks like fun. I would assumed Gregory and green valley lake would be similar to big bear for summer trout fishing? Just considering they’re up in the mountains so temps are a little cooler.
They are similar with the exception of Green Valley. Green Valley is a smaller lake and has multiple aerators so the oxygen is much better when the water warms up. The fish do suspend there but just not to the extent of the other two.
Thanks for sharing, can you /have you actually purchased small gage needles at rite-aid, didn't believe that was possible (you get yours from your wife's business) ?
Actually I have never done it myself but it was my understanding that you could. If you can’t message me on Instagram and I can probably get one to ya 🤘
