Man, that’s great! Loved it all, but the mandolin playing the chord progression - so good! That song has so much atmosphere! I wish more artists would do this - show what they are playing. Musicians who are listening appreciate it so much. Thanks a lot. Could you show us how you play the riff/chord progression for “One Of Us” ? I know the chords are easy to pick out but the way you play in my opinion, or from I can hear - is not so typical - I mean to play exactly the way you did on the recording.

Eric, I have to say that as a guitarist myself this is an amazing thing to be able to watch and understand how this song was put together and the various parts written. First time I ever heard this was on, I believe, your first album ( I may be wrong, but I seem to recall 84 or 85?) which I acquired on import from the us to the uk. The song was totally different then. Then the second album came out and this song had four or five straight plays in a row on my record deck. Thankyou for being an influence on my playing (not just that song but for all the others too)

Heard the song today and I thought the mandolin part sounded very like Carnavalito music from Argentina/Bolivia, in the way the chords are played: this band from Argentina does a similar fusion between that rhythm and a pop rock song except that they didn't play a mandolin or charango in the chords ua-cam.com/video/ZNzYr4U7Zs8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SodaStereoVEVO
