Great video!!! My first thermaling was in 1977 on a Wills Wing SST hang glider at High Rock Maryland. Then to (H4) and more thermaling. I am now a power pilot and transitioning to sailplanes and adding a glider rating to my pilot certificate. I am thoroughly enjoying your videos and adding to my years ago attained knowledge. Thank you so much!!!

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you haven't noticed already, I think you're going to find sailplanes really liberating. You'll spend, if you want, much more time out of sight of your launch point and will find many more days soarable. Triple the glide ratio at twice the speed really changes things! I rarely had a hang gliding flight over three hours, but I rarely have a sailplane flight UNDER three hours!

Eric, good series, glad I've discovered your channel but....
dude, you have got to sort out your sound quality though, it sounds like you keep nudging the microphone or knocking the lead or something which leads to the occasional burst of white noises and distortions etc. which can be very abrasive to the ear especially as you speak quite quietly and I have to turn up the volume which exacerbates the noise impact....
Anyhow, good series and thank you :)

Por favor, para los miles de hispano hablantes, ¿podría ponerle subtítulos en Español? Muchas gracias.

Eric, the google sites web location appears to not be available anymore. Is there a currently available address? (if you need a place to host it contact me)

Thank you for posting this video. I enjoy watching and learning from your experience. I look forward to applying your teaching and concepts to my own instructing and to cross-country soaring.

    Hello
Could you upload the further episodes of your webinars. They are very slow paced and sometimes slightly philosophical , some of the info is basic for some but they have good value in them . Please continue uploading these.
All the older and newer methods should be used to improve flying . From lectures , books videos to analyzing tracks. Blue skies

Hi nvoima. Thanks for the note. I haven't yet created videos of my other webinars but will upload them as I do. Yes, I realize my lectures are pretty slow-paced for some people. I try to err on the side of being slow and thorough - so as to leave few people in the dark. Thanks, Eric
