Great video! Just a note on the charcoal, if you take any medications, make sure you don't consume charcoal any time near your med time. It can absorb your medication before it can get into your system. Charcoal is often used to absorb poison, so it treats medication in the same manner if it's still in your digestive system.
Came here to say the same thing. Charcoal is harmless if you're not on any meds, but definitely be careful if you are! You don't wanna risk something like your blood pressure meds (or birth control!) losing its effectiveness.
Came here to say the same thing. People often recommend charcoal to celiacs if they have been glutened, but it doesn’t help with that, it just messes with your meds!
I’m so happy you guys came back and did such an awesome job of showcasing our local foods. Wish I could’ve met you guys! Love you ordinary adventures ALOHA
i have to commend your excellent editing skills!!!! your channel really stands out in this regard!!! a subtle, yet laborious thing that isn't taken for granted! :)

😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰 OMG... I miss wakiki Beach.. we went to there last Thanksgiving and when you walk past PF Chang.. We lived right across the st from that.. its very memorable... I love this share of you guys... thank you.. and I'm going to catch your other shares..
It`s great that you tried such a good variety of foods when you were there, from upscale restaurants to local take-out. This is such a great follow-up to your first Hawaii trip (when I first subscribed.
We always stay at the Aston Waikiki Circle… Lots of Special Prices even for the Ocean Front Room. Small Hotel and Small rooms but great Balcony with no obstructions in front of the rooms. .. beautiful views of Ocean and Beach right across the main street. Nightly Hawaiian Music floats over from the Entertainment on the beach. Open air Lobby underneath Hotel.
One time in line at Marugame, my mom was waiting in line and I joined her later after walking from somewhere. This old white guy in his 60's behind her made a huge fuss about me "cutting" when in fact my mom was in line in front of him. I told him it's not cutting and not a big deal. He was acting like such a baby and entitled. No one stood up for me so I let him ahead of us. I shouldn't have let him. I'm always reminded of that when I visit Hawaii. I can't wait to go back. :) Anyway, love the video. Thanks for reading my Ted talk.
Glad you guys came back to Hawaii. I recommend trying the Musubi's at 7-Eleven. And even though I live on Oahu (on the windward side), its been years since I went to Waikiki so it was good to see the different restaurants that Waikiki has to offer.
I'm glad you guys are enjoying your time here in Hawaii and tasting all the good food. Cant wait to visit your neck of the woods on our next Disney trip!!
Aloha! This is Holly! My husband & I have vacationed in Hawaii since 1996 until covid. On Oahu. we recommend the Honolulu Zoo, Kona Brew Pub, Aulani & a circle drive around the island. Oh! Giovanni 's shrimp truck. The second truck is as great as the original @
Great video! You guys always make me hungry. I have to say that the two of you seem to have really expanded your palette and adventure for different foods. It is so great to see you guys enjoying so much stuff - it make he video very pleasant to watch!
I'm only 4 minutes in but I have to say that pork belly fried rice looked absolutely delicious! These videos make me so hungry and so envious of the people who live in Hawaii!
I miss the Original International Marketplace that was filled with Booths with hand made items and touristy stuff…love the cheeseburger in Paradise. We always enjoy Waikiki Beach and the local Cafes just around the corner from the main drag.
You guys got the Halo Halo definition correct. 😊 The key ingredient for me is the condensed milk. My mom used to make this her own way when my sister and I were growing up. Glad to see you gave it an Ordinary Adventures ⭐️! 🤙🏼
The Sheraton has sand sculptures every Christmas and the sand in Waikiki is brought in from farther out and added to the beach because of costal erosion. Fried cheese sticks are the best thing at Itchy Butt
What you should have done, was what we did. We stayed in Waikiki first and did all of our driving around and exploring and then we got rid of the rental car and finished off our last 4 nights at Aulani. We saved the best for last. It was amazing.
Awesome and delicious food video y’all are amazing and beautiful thank you for sharing this with us love y’all stay safe out there Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 👏🏼🙌👍🏼🙏🏼🌹😍❤️
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay in Hawaii I’m stationed in Schofield barracks June 29th I have done 20 years now I’m looking for a place to live. I love it here I found my new home
Good vlog, I guess I’m lucky to have a Marugame where I work and Magnolia ice-cream so accessible. Charcoal used in pancake is it Bincho charcoal? If so it has health benefits such as better blood circulation, sooth back and shoulder aches.
Depending on where you live in LA, there are many options for you to pick up halo-halo. My favorite mix items are the coconut gel (nata de coco), ube ice cream, and pinipig (pounded rice "crispies).
I’m sure I commented on this video before but I am re-watching it because we leave for Oahu in freaking 17 days! Ack! We are staying at the same hotel in Waikiki, it got really good reviews and I like the idea of a quieter setting. So, we will have to ask how to get to the beach from there. We having sunset dinner reservations at House Without a Key our first night and Hula Grill the second night. Thinking of stopping at Itchy Butt on our way to Waikiki from the airport because that lunch looked so good (and I’m freaking out about how much $$we are going to be spending this trip). Two nights Waikiki followed by 5 nights Aulani. Cannot wait…..thanks for your videos, they have been very helpful!
You are going to have so much fun! I forget the exact path to the beach but you basically cut through a parking garage on the left and go through the hotel to the beach
Next time y'all are in Hawaii check out Cinnamon's (there are a couple of locations, I went to the one in Kailua) and try the guava pancakes. They are SO good, pretty sweet, but pretty tropical/ Hawaiian. And great idea going to the Udon place...I still think about and compare all udons to that place!
I propose an Oahu Ordinary Adventures Islandwide Food Tour for the next trip. 😂 So awesome that you ventured off to really try food that is a real part of the local fare. Hawaii food culture is no kai oi ☝️ Hope you folks come again soon 🤙🏽
magnolia makes one of the best ice cream here in the philippines, their mango ice cream is super good! also, i can imagine how good that ube ice cream they add to that halo halo 💕✨
Activated charcoal is thought to offer several other benefits, including less gas and flatulence, lower cholesterol levels, and improved kidney function. Some people claim that it helps whiten your teeth, filters water, and even cures hangovers.
Awesome video! We discovered Marugame at Waikiki also and went there every time we went to Hawaii. Luckily they opened two locations in LA, one in the Sawtelle area near Santa Monica and the other inside the Glendale Galleria. And thanks for featuring a Filipino dessert, the halo halo. I’m so happy you both liked it.
Please don’t forget to come to Koa Pancake House in Kapolei / it’s nice to see you Ohana again . Aunty Yolanda/ I work Monday or Tuesday, Wednesday. Hope to see again. I met you when you came to Kapolei 😊
Great that you made it to Itchy Butt! We've been meaning to go back and try something different, but there's too many eating choices and too little time. lol
Oh wow didn’t know you guys went to itchy butt, just when I thought we watched all of your Hawaii videos. Will have to go looking for that one. Itchy butt was surprisingly one of the best places we went on this trip!
I've recently discovered you guys on here and you're truly great! My family is getting ready to do a trip to Oahu soon and you've given us some great places to seek out and enjoy. Were also staying one night at the end of our trip at that same hotel on Waikiki. Do you recommend it?
@@OrdinaryAdventures thank you for your reply! It's only for one night after our weeklong Aulani trip due to flight prices. The price was good compared to everything else in Waikiki. Also, thank you so much for the great food locations you've shared!!
Love the videos guys. Aloha from Hawaii. By the way dont mind me asking how many nights did you guys stay at the aulani. I might plant that for my birthday.
Don't worry about cutting through hotels and stuff, us local people do it all the time 😁. Yeah Waikiki is not my favorite place, it didn't used to be so gentrified until the early 2000s. My dad actually had a shop at International Marketplace back when they used to be a chaotic jumble of shops and stands. Not to mention some of the weirdos 😅 Also I hope you managed to get to Kailua side for my favorite beach of all, Lanikai Beach during this trip! Also Cinnamon's for breakfast!
I love your Hawaii videos. The islands are my happy place. I prefer the original International market and miss it. Very happy that they didn't destroy the banyan tree when they demolished everything else. My favorite drink there is Mango lava flows or the Monkey Pod Mai tai. If you haven't done it you should do the Xtreme Parasailing in Waikiki. I definitely need to try the Itchy Butt.
Love your videos! Have you looked at Hilton Hawaiian Village? It has great pools, beach and lagoon access and shopping area. Love that you featured halo-halo. When I was watching your Ko Olina video, it reminded me of the delicious Portuguese sausage breakfast plate from Island Vintage. So good! 🌺
We almost stayed there but I read that because it’s such a big compound it’s harder to walk to local Hawaiian places not at the resort. We wanted to be more in the center of everything
True, better with a car. Walk’s not too bad to some places. The access and size of beach and pools is great, so convenient. You feel like you’re in a big, beautiful, tropical compound. Aulani rules too of course. Can’t wait for you to try all the different musubis! Thank you for your uplifting content!
Great video! Just a note on the charcoal, if you take any medications, make sure you don't consume charcoal any time near your med time. As a Filipino I was so excited to see you try the halo halo!! I know the beans can throw some people off but I’m so happy y’all liked it 😋🤩
Halo-Halo is legit one of my FAVORITE treats. That with some chicken joy from jolibee's - absolutely next level.
I’m gonna have to try it from jollibe
Going through a gnarly breakup and your guys positive videos make this that much more bearable. Thank you for being you guys.
Feel better ❤️🩹
The Itchy Butt garlic chicken looked flipping amazing. That would be right up my alley!
garlic chicken from hawaii is da bomb!
It was soooo good. One of the best things we had the whole trip
I loved the noodle place with the tempura when I was in Waikiki. Glad you featured it 🎉😋
Is it unhealthy that every time you all post a video of your adventures in Hawaii, we check flight prices? Great video guys!
😂 we’d love to watch videos of you guys exploring Hawaii. So much great food!
I hope not, cause I do it too!
