I am a lifelong resident of Hawaii and have not been to Waikiki for years. You made me see a new side of Waikiki. I will definitely visit some of the restaurants in Waikiki you ate at while here that I never even heard of before. Mahalo for making a local resident aware of what is happening in Waikiki. An eye-opener! Enjoy your videos.
You find hidden gems by catching the bus. I realized recently how much I missed by car. I had catch the bus to downtown when I worked. The parking is so expensive.
You know I studied Pacific Rim Cuisine there at Dukes. I got teary eyed watching this one guys because I miss home too much. Thank you for sharing. Delta Airlines bring my Ohana to San Diego in the morning. I will meet you at Harbor Island. Costerra, Island Prime, and C level across the street from the SAN airport. Then you fly back that night after beautiful San Diego Sun Set and drinks at Island Prime. Aloha and Mahalo! Love ur show
Well as usual you never disappoint!!! Coming up on Aug 19 that I lost my husband he would of been 90 blessed to have him near me ! You always take me away and bring smiles to this much needed face! After I watch you two reality sinks in , I just love you two!!!
Lol @Bill asking which side to look into the camera! My husband (James Scott) had to subscribe after he saw how fun, authentic and informative your videos are! We just love you both!
I get home from work 3 hours before my husband and it's so hard to wait that long to watch your vlogs.... so usually I end up watching them twice, once when I get home and then again when hubby gets home. We love vicariously traveling with you. P.S. I hate carrying a purse too. lol
Dukes lane is great but I don’t know if you visited Waikiki years ago when the old International Marketplace was still around but that was the best place for souvenirs! Their restaurants and bars were amazing also! So sad their gone now!
You take me on trips I can no longer take due to health issues. When I was out of school I traveled all the time. My dad told me you should be saving your money. I’m so glad that was one thing I didn’t listen to him about. You make me laugh. ❤️
Bill & Lisa, this was a nice finish to your trip! So happy that you both enjoyed your time in Honolulu. Hopefully for the next time you visit, the rental car situation will no longer be a problem and enable you to explore other areas of Oahu. Appreciate the travel updates...hoping the current issues you encountered are resolved soon. Until next time, a hui hou, and safe travels always! ✨🌺✨
Much Mahalo for this Hawaii-inspired vlog! You got me smiling with this part-of-the-series. The section about Liliha Bakery was awesome - I lived on Liliha Street and would visit the Bakery often. The bakery looks the same as I remembered. It was even nice to see the firehouse in the background! You did a great job recording the sights, sounds, and flavors, ofmy hometown. Much Aloha and best wishes! 🧧🤙🌅
I love how you both explain what you are eating and the flavors...it is easy to imagine the flavors from your descriptions! That was smart to get a bus pass! Thanks for always providing excellent and fun videos! Hugs!
My dad used to work at Liliha bakery in the 70s and made the sugar donuts. He used to bring home the leftovers for me. Thus started my addiction to donuts 😜
Much Aloha to both of you 💕. Thank you for visiting our beautiful state , especially during this covid epidemic ! Please continue with your great vlogs!
Thank you Bill and Lisa for sharing your video. My first time visit Hawaii in August and I’m so excited. Finally the travel restrictions are over.👍❤️✈️
When I watch your Hawai'i vlogs I can feel the humidity & my hair going curly and frizzy. lol You guys do such a fantastic job of vlogging your experiences.
I would go nuts, I watch old hawaii five-o everyday. I’m bet everything is gone by now. Lol🤣🤣. I’m officially hungry now and everything looks soo good. Two big thumbs up.👍👍😻
I just LOVE you guys. Your videos are ALWAYS on point. The way LISA describes the food always has mouth watering. Looking forward to visiting Hawaii next year. Ted's Bakery, Garlic Shrimp. Thank you for the Videos. Keep it up. Glad you got your Disney Magic back. They are lucky to have you!!
I’d have food all over myself from missing my mouth because I wouldn’t be able to stop looking outside. What a view! And oh my gosh, that fruit! My mouth was watering, too. Never been to Hawaii but hope to someday. Thanks for sharing!
I loved this video... I am watching from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺, in lockdown for 6 weeks now.. I loved this as I was there for my 50th in February last year. It was nice seeing Duke, alomoana, international market place. I am grateful I got to experience this too before all this happened. The market place looked so quite but it is good to get deals from in there. Thank you again x
Was last in Hawaii 3 years ago. Always do Dukes. Haven’t done breakfast only dinner but that looked good and fairly reasonable I think. Enjoying these videos. I’m pretty new to your channel and I’m amazed how you get around so much , especially during the pandemic. Look forward to your next adventures.
Great video! 👍 I always love your Hawaii series of videos, my first video I saw of you guys was the big island one. Also thanks so much for the bus pass info, planning on being in oahu next month and want to take the bus to diamond head 🥰
I am so glad you went to the Liliha location of Liliha Bakery and not the other locations. My husband and I love watching your videos. I am trying to encourage my husband to apply for airline jobs .
I don’t know if you have merchandise or not but it would be a great idea but if you do you should add bobble head dolls of you both …you both would be perfect bobble head caricatures …especially Lisa because she’s always shaking her head yes…😊
That was cool to see you two videoing each other in the mirror behind you at the ramen place!!! A behind the scene shot of 2 stars !!! Lol ! Thanks Guys !
Since you liked that Chantilly Cake you need to try a Doberge Cake in NOLA. We would suggest Debbie Does Doberge but I’m sure there’s many. Blew my mind - and our tastebuds!
I haven't tried Duke's yet, but it's on my Hawaii list! The Bakery, especially that chantilly cake looked really good! If I buy a lot of gifts/souvenirs in Hawaii, I'll ship them home. I use my dirty clothes as packing protection too, that way you don't have to deal with the new stuff on your flight! You can send it pretty cheap at USPS and it will arrive home in about 2 weeks, unless you ship fancier for a shorter timeframe. Another great video B & L!
The Kona Coffee festival is in November! It’s so much fun!!!! If you go to the Kona coffee belt, be sure to visit Dutor’s! It’s a beautiful walk through a gorgeous garden to an endless pool view from their tasting area. It’s an other-worldly paradise experience.
Have to say that you are soo fun to watch and "very" informative...You should try a Li Hing Mui Margarita, OMG you will love it!!!... Pick up a bag of the powder and have a party at home...Mix a tsp or 2 in the Margi or on the rim of the glass...MMM ONOLICIOUS 😋
Theres a liliha bakery in Macy's at Ala Moana. Also next time try the tan tan ramen (a little spicy but oh so good) at Goma Tei. There are multiple locations. I think u both will love it! Good to see u back in Hawaii!
Pretty cool, so many people & HPD came up & said hi to you folks. Duke's breakfast looks good for the price, gonna check them out next time. Is it about the same or better than Aloha Specialties in Vegas?
I agree any banana muffin must have nuts! Bill waiting for his slice of chantilly cake like a little birdy cracked me up❣️ Great pro tips and great vlog as always. Love & aloha to you both.❤️🌺🤙🏽 P.S Liliha has a restaurant in Macy’s at Ala Moana but not quite the same as the original location.
Aloha Bill and Lisa 🌺🤙🏽🌈🌊🏄🏽♀️🏄🏽♂️🌊 Really enjoyed your vlog! At Ala Moana Macy’s , they have Liliha bakery. 23,531 views...A sold out arena concert for Metallica is around 18,000 capacity. You guys are playing sold out arena shows with every video, if you think about it! Love your videos, thank you for bringing your adventures and positivity to us all. It cheers me up and makes a difference more than you know. Have a good one and safe travels!
Nice quick series. Last time I was there, I walked from Chinatown back to about the Honolulu Zoo (my room was near there). Long walk! I also rode a bike from my hostel to Koko Head and then hiked it on a hot day. I won't do that again. lol
