  • An introduction to the AirMini for the Sleep Right Australia CPAP Facebook Support page.
    The Support page is available for all CPAP users. A private group where CPAP users share their experiences and answer eachothers questions.
    Hey guys, Andrew from Sleep Right Australia here. As per our Facebook support group for CPAP users, I'm going to make a little video for you, just to explain the benefits of AirMini. You got any questions, just pop them in the comments, and I'll answer them right. I'll probably miss something, but I'll do my best to cover everything as we go.
    The first thing, and obvious thing about AirMini is its size. It's very, very small. If we compare it to an Air Sense 10 machine, I'll just grab one out now. Air Sense 10, AirMini. AirMini you probably ... two, three, four, five, six ... So, probably one-sixth of the size of the Air Sense 10. Obviously very small, that's why it's called a mini and that's why it's been a very popular machine.
    With the AirMini, with masks, you've only got the three options. You've got the P10, which I'll do most of my demonstrating with, the F24 face mask, and the N20 nasal mask here. Of note with these things, the humidification is waterless. But it's only available for the P10 and N20. If you go with the F20, you're not going to have humidification with this. Not sure even when that's going to be released. ....and then it drops down to 85 or 80, or something, then you know you've gotta do something to acknowledge that, and get that fixed up. Good general indicator. What will also happen that data will get sent through to us. We use a programme called Air View, and that gives us a bit more detail. If you are having issues, we can jump on our computer, check out the charts, see what's happening at certain parts of the night, and we're trained to know what to do in certain situations. Yeah. It's set up nicely in terms of the data side of things there too.
    Maintenance wise, if your using the humidification, you'll need to change that every 30 days. That's 30 days from opening, not 30 days use. Bear that in mind. It's got a little air filter at the front. Just leads in here. We always tell people to take these out and flick them every couple of weeks, replace them every few months. It's easily missed, the air filter. Every machine's got one. Make sure you do it. It does make a big difference. There, slide it back on like that....

    I use the Airmini as my normal APAP machine. I normally get a score of 100 each night. I’ve been using it for about 5 mths now. I generally get to sleep quickly and any noise doesn’t disturb either myself or my husband. I use the Airfit N20 mask.

    Does the air mini come with a carrying case for travel? I'd probably on use it for travel, so I wouldn't use the humidifier for 30 days, but is there any way to preserve the humidifier?

    Consider getting Mini as travel lots but only see nasal pillow mask. I can’t use nasal pillow as mouth breather.So I can’t use an F30i or other mask?

    I had to stop using the little nasal mask, as the thin stretch headgear was creating an indentation in my skull. Went to a mask with wide adjustable straps.

    Hi. I really love the size. I have a normal CPAP machine and it s really hard to go out with it. I need to buy one of this AirMini. My question is, will it replace the daily use of the normal cpap-machine ? and more important for me is the lifetime, how long it will resist till i need to replace it. (2 years, 3 or ... ?) ?

    • @SleepRightAustralia
      @SleepRightAustralia  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Bilel it can be used every day. Life span seems to be 3 years plus, since its release, no one has come back to buy a second one and I think we have only ever sent one off to be fixed... Pretty reliable

    Does the Resmed Mini have it's own inbuilt power back up or does it need a separate battery back up for it be used as a portable machine?

    How do you get the machine to stop making water? I’m waking up and gagging on the water drops its making and the nasal plug full of water.

    I already have Airfit Nasal mask which I use with Resmed Airsense10. Can I use that mask with resmed airmini or I have to purchase new one? Also how long does the humidifier filter work? Can I use the machine without humidifier?

    • @SleepRightAustralia
      @SleepRightAustralia  4 роки тому +1

      Rajiv Warade you’ll need to get the connector for P10. You’ll be able to use some of the mask.sleepright.com.au/airmini-accessories/p10-connector-airmini/
      30 days from opening is the recommended replacement time.
      Yes you can.

    They advertise the F30 works with adapter but the elbow is so loud upon exhaling that I can't sleep anyways. The hose is limiting the masks that are able to be used and creates a loud air flow. A major design flaw.

      If you have nasal pad mask, there’s now tape called SomniFix that will keep your mouth closed at night. No more chin holders for me. Works great. However, a full face mask will allow you to breath through both. I like nasal pad mask better.

    • @artincorona

    The air mini was very very loud. Breathing in was fine no noise, breathing out I my goodness no sleep for me tonight, I brought the air mini for travel, What a horrible trip I had. So the air mini was returned to the place it was made. Several weeks late a new air mini was sent back exactly the same problem. Dont buy this air mini produce for travel you will get no sleep.

  • @packratcouple

    Don't buy it. NO RETURNS. The machine itself is very quiet but the air noise from the vent on your mask makes it unusable to sleep with. Bought one for my wife at the same time now we are stuck with two $1000 paper weights. Worked with the vendor to try to fix it, different hoses, mufflers, Masks, settings... nothing. Last warning don't buy it.
