I envy your ground clearance, the Sienna I drive has the clearance of a turtle. Good choice of music...with perfect volume. “You can fast forward through some of this” LOL. Nah, you always have something worthwhile to say.

Awesome to see you able to be up and at it. Riding along is just like being there , watching every rock and rut from the edge of my seat. Great job on the video work. Seeing those drivers seat shots on a big TV screen is just like being in the bus.

Hey Bo! Thanks 🙏 It’s good to be out again. As for the videos it’s a huge learning experience for me. I do a little better on each video I make. Enjoy the adventure.

nice to see how you put up your canopy, I have the same one from BBT but have never set it up. I have a full roof rack that gets in the way on my 66 13 window and need to figure out how to mount it on the rack. Cheers and great video..

Don’t know why I got this as a recommended video but it was interesting and cool. I notice you also put a review in Google Maps about this place. Is this area, Yellow Post #7, public land? Can you pull up to any spot and camp in that area? Take care.

Hey Art, YP campsites are in public land. Most have a fire ring and a picnic table. It states one party to the site, But folks will move in on you if it getting late in the day. I had it happen to me. They asked if they could camp for the night on the other end. I replied that they are welcome to do what they want. So when it got dark and I had a fire I ask them to pull up a chair. Later I got a Modelo, Some crazy chicken plate with rice and the kids made me a smore by the fire ... LoL They roasted me a little on my Bus, at that point I was part of there family. lol In the AM I had coffee ready and they left to continue there adventure. Jeep folks are good people :o) (there was one Toyota) You can camp anywhere that has been camped in before. Tread lightly rule. Always check fire restrictions , I do it at the local USFS station. Also I don't think you need a adventure pass, But check to make sure. I have the pass for the So Cal forest adventure pass. Peace Brother, See Ya on the Trail! I liked your Zion Trip :o)

Thanks Arch, It's fun to get out. I knew it was going to be the last snow of the season, so out I went. I still have tons to learn about making a video. :o)

How do you find these trails?

    • @VintageOverlandAdventures

I confidently plan my Overlanding trips, using Gaia GPS, Google Maps, and UA-cam to assess the terrain and determine if my trusty old VW Bus can handle it. I stay up-to-date with weather changes, which can alter the trails with rain, fallen trees, and windblown sand, and use Google Maps to identify any road or trail closures. @GaiaGPS is my go-to resource for plotting my course and finding the best campsites. Safety is always my top priority, and I never take unnecessary risks.😂 If needed, I'm not afraid to turn back. Also, I always make sure I inform someone of my plans and expected return time. And of course, I always remember to pack out more than I pack in.

Sounds good, I've had a few folks that have buses hit me up. I was thinking of a trip through Mojave Preserve (150 Miles) in Feb. or Mar. with a group. I'll post it on "The Samba" if it plans out, (Dec). Nothing crazy, just something with the views and two nights out camping.

Which tires you have on the bus? They appeared to handle the icy snow quite well.
