A little tip that I discovered that helps massively with exhibit planning. All of the animals’ comfort requirements can be accessed in a hatchery. This gives their habitat needs, paleobotany requirements if they’re a herbivore, feeder requirements if they’re a carnivore, and what they can and can’t cohabit with. Even at 0% genome, this is all information that’s accessible.

I got to negative 200 from 10 Mill because I spent loads trying to repair everything.
Thank you for these walk through lets plays. Helped me a lot. In particular the starting tips. In fact I played this map up to 4 star rating before I watched this. And my Ankylosaurus and Triceratops habitate fine together. I had no issues.
From 2:31 to about 2:52 there's no audio. It cuts off abruptly and comes back abruptly.
It was probably 21 seconds of BiS coughing lol

I do find it a bit amusing that BIS forgot that its Stegos that Trikes dont get along well, while Trikes can live fine with Ankies.

Bestinslot what is your opinion on how to beat this mode I always do well with the other missions but when it comes to the park amentis it got harder and then the dinosaurs began to die which results in having to restart which then makes it impossible

You see, I think the Chaos Theories are less like what-if scenarios and more like if you were there it woulda been different type of stuff. I mean, it's still what-if scenarios, but... well... you understand lol.
Ankylosaurus is one of the two dinos Triceratops actually likes, the other one being Compys, every dino's favorite. So all that effort to separate them was not really needed.
My computer is so bad I have not even finished the first chaos theory because of how unplayable it is and leggy it is but I will be getting a new one soon so yay

Outside of the insane storms (which were kind of easy to cheese), this was the easiest “park build” chaos theory. The Lost World and Jurassic Park gave me much more trouble.
How do you go about cheesing the storms? I’m struggling real bad with those
@@GabbyPlaysGames02 just pause, destroy fences, and rebuild them. The bigger issue is just trying to get everything repaired after the storm
Frontier shouldn't treat their covers of the JP themes as copyrighted music, it was never an issue with vanilla JPOG for the very same reason, they were licensed covers, they should sort that glitch since YT wouldn't even strike it
Definitely a giant pain in the ass. I kept getting pounded by a tornado, and had the struggles getting over the hump, 2.5 stars. After multiple tries I got past that hump, I started doing good, then getting it to 5 Stars was easy. It's just that damn hump. Also, those MF tornadoes are still assholes. I planned a lot, and I still screwed myself over.
What I've been doing with naming scientists, I would only change their last name, to what they would be good at, either skills or bonus traits. So if they have faster or cheaper expeditions, I would name them Expedition. Anyone that's good with Logistics, I would make their last name Logistics. If they have high Welfare, I would call them medic or doctor.

My biggest problems with this specific Chaos Theory is that I can't get get my amenities to $150,000 (even though the finance report at one point said $200,000 for amenities) and it keeps going up and down and most of all, I keep getting hit by tornados.
please tell me you plan on recreating the actual places the chaos theories are based on like you did in JWE1
Wish they had dynamic snap points for paths and fences. Is a pain trying to eyeball it all the time.

Hey BestInSlot are you planning on doing a comparison of 2 games financial success? The first game was frontiers best release to date if I remember right? And was the reason we got all the updates and DLCs. Do you think there will be more/the same/or less post launch support/content than the last game?
I know you did this about a year ago, but why didn't TRex and Tops break the fence...I always had to use rocks to prevent it...
Will say I re did chaos theory mode on this one. And the trike and the anky can be together

@BestInSlot don’t know if you will see this but could you do a video on the iguanodon kill animations don’t know if it’s new to JWE2 but definitely first time I’ve seen what can only be called the death hug on all large and medium carnivores other than the indo raptor who gets the unique thumb punch.

Hamstrung myself again by rushing aviaries instead of going along with the mission. The Pteranodons go mad if there's any storms or a tornado spawns right above them, and repairing aviaries costs a fortune. Geosternbergia are way more chill.
I went with Dimorphadon and they were chill, even when the enclosures were damaged. Even with storm damage, they never flew out
I’ve realized that too late I think lol, they have the highest appeal but I’m nearly bankrupt dealing with their bs during storms. Am I the only one who’s had issues with flying reptiles just not eating or drinking? Getting stuck it seems, but I've given them plenty of room.
Yes. Mostly happens when you have a lot of animals. Their AI just bugs out. Saving and reloading fixes it though.
Got really far on this then my t rex died and ankyies died just after a storm and without them dinos i lost money quick time.
Just a question, is chaos theory more like challenge mode, where you have to get to five stars without any problems, or is it mor like campaign, where you just follow the instructions and hope it goes swell. I would love to have answers as I have not yet got the game as I am *BROKE*
I think it’s more of a campaign than a challenge mode because you don’t need to be getting five stars on each island

I've had to retry this chaos theory mode at least 6 times those storms are a nightmare lol tornadoes upon tornadoes lol and a crazy amount of hemorrhaging of money they should I personally think the frontier should nurf the storms a little or atleast make it so that you start earning money at a higher rate once the storms over so that your not stuck in debt forever just for another storm to come and f**k you over lol
That takes the challenge out of it though this is literally supposed to be the hardest of all the chaos theories I've failed even with stacked scientists trying to bring as much fossils and money as possible. I've noticed if a single dino escapes you lose close to 500k per minute.
i always overextend without knowing it and the game PUNNNNISHES me for it late game
For me at least after JP chaos this one was a breeze
that was the opposite for me. I zoomed through all the others, but I had trouble with this one. It took me three times. There was a bug where my ceratosaurus would not move, eat, or drink and I had to keep healing them.
Haven't watched the full video yet, but I want to say I’ve been having problems getting the game to recognise the rex you get at the beginning of the chaos theory as a carnivore, therefore I am unable to unlock the live prey feeder, any tips on progressing beyond the 80% comfort part without being able to make a live prey feeder?
Maybe try tranquilizing it, and replacing it in the exhibit. I had an issue trying to release via airlift a herd of Paras and the helicopters were stuck outside, not picking them up. I thought I'd have to restart the park. I saved and exited to X-Box home, closed the game and hopped back into the game, and it reset. If "reseating" the Rex doesn't work, maybe save and exit the game while the Rex is in the air, and then load back into the game. Good luck. Hope it helps.

how do you pause time on the console version?
If On Xbox you press the view button( the button on the left of the menu button) then use rb and lb to go faster and slower. In the same menu thing press a to pause time
On playstation you tap the touch pad to open up the time controls and then hit X to pause. You can use the bumpers in that same menu to speed up or slow fown
