You just gained another subscriber. High-level, no-nonsense technical comparisons placing sounds of real equipment side by side with simulators. And again I see Mooer leading the way. This channel is definitely the best comparative channel I've seen so far.
I had my GE200 3 years ago, it worked great for my purpose but one footswitch went out of order. Luckily it was still under factory warranty so I sent it back for a replacement but was told had to wait for a few months to receive a replacement due to stock shortage. While waiting, I went to a Headrush Gigboard (believe it is very similar to the MX5 in many ways). I spent lots of time with it - tweaking and experimenting with many different IRs but eventually I gave up as the sound was just to "tight" for my ears (sorry I don't have the best wording for what I felt). So I put my Gigboard aside and got a Helix Floor, which was much better. A few months later, the new GE200 arrived but because I was enjoying my Helix so I kept GE200 in storage for 2 years. Don't remember what happened, one day, I took the GE200 out and hook it up, and, for the past few weeks, I haven't touched my Helix. There must be something done right with Mooer multi effects pedals.
Hi, thank you for sharing, very interesting experience here...I found the Mooer have a tendency to sound a little bit more bassy and maybe it suit better your taste. Thank you once more!
Right?! I remember back when I was in high school the boss me-50 was the best you could do but, these are volumes ahead of that and the price feels similar to what the “lower end” multi-fx used to cost. This generation of guitar players are lucky!

I think the Mooer takes this battle to my ears. In the mix, they were hard to tell apart on the high gain settings. The Mooer seemed more gainy like you said. Great demo song! Love your riffs 😁 God bless and rock on 😎👍🎸
I had both with also the ge300 lite.. i sold the two mooer, for me the HeadRush is on another level in terms of realism of amp Modeling (Also compared to mooer studio profiles or capture) and feeling. The mod effects are far better than the mooer. My 2 cents 🤘🏻 A nice mention to the very good looper that allows to export and save loops and import mp3 files to play with... Farewell Mooer
Thank you for another wonderful comparison Leo! The More Sounds section really made me think it is amazing what can be done these days and how close things sound. I am fascinated by the capture/load facility on the GE 250 and of course the computer app. Perhaps one day they will perfect the hardware (have both midi in and out & stereo send/return) and THAT would be a killer product IMHO! Thanks again.

Well Leo, you have done again my friend! Bravo, great presentation! Loved it. Have you considered my suggestion on doing a comparison between the Hotone Ampero vs the MX5? I would certainly like to see that, with the both touch screens and all. I know the ampero is older unit. Thank you for posting this.
Ciao Leo, from Texas! Thank you for the helpful review. I decided to go for the Mooer, because the parallel effects chain won’t matter in my case. It will just be an alternative to my main rig that I can switch in and out. But it will be a nice upgrade from the old Digitech unit I have been using in that position. Also, as for personal preferences, I like the white color. That puts me in a good mood when I play. So much audio equipment is black-there were reasons for that on stage perhaps in the past, but it is way overused and is actually the complete absence of light and color. My thoughts. Ciao!
Ciao Mark, you are welcome, and I'm happy to have been of some help!!! Thank you also for sharing your opinion and your experience! And yes...the white colour is nice...black is sometime a little boring... Thank you!
I think Headrush lacks aggressiveness than Mooer. By looking at your playing sir, it seems that you are more comfortable on Mooer, the easiness is there. I don't know, i think that's my opinion and observation.😊.., anyways, as always i love your honest review on your videos, i always watch and amazed by your playing. God bless Sir.
Hi John, I enjoyed both...I have the Mooer since a long time, so I'm more used to it. Thank you so much, your feedback and support is really important for me!!!
I have enjoyed watching your review for so many multieffect but may I know what is your best multieffect processor that you prefer for a long purpose of use ?
Hi, actually I have change my mind many times and every unit has is pros and cons...nevertheless, I'm enjoying the high end modelers, I mean the FM3 and the Quad Cortex. Thank you so much for following the channel...and I'm really happy that you enjoy the videos!!!
Hi Leo, thank you so much for your content! your videos are great! I have a hx stomp, and i think its great but sometimes i wish it had some more crazy presets, im not so worried about things sounding exactly like the real equipment, but I want different sounds to be inspired and approach guitar from a different perspective than classic. Im looking at the boss gt100 core and now this mx5 also looks interesting. Im really into atmospheric delays. Would you have a recommendation for me? Thank you so much!
@leogibson, I love watching you, but i realllllly need a video about how you actually MAKE your videos, not just how you split screen yourself with yourself, but how you seamlessly switch devices while playing the piece without moving your body in any noticeable way in the video through what must take like six takes to get three devices and two musical parts of yourself at the same time. I get so distracted by trying to figure out how you do that I forget to learn the lessons and recommendations that you are actually teaching! LOL
Hi, thank you, I'm really happy that you like my videos! Maybe I will do the video you are asking for in the future....even if I don't know if there is such a bit interest in it, nevertheless, I can tell you that the secret is the reamping. I mean, I typically record a DI guitar track and then I reamp into the different devices, this allows me also to avoid differences, as it is always the same guitar part that is going to be played through the different modelers. Thank you for your message!
