@@demonfigs3309 Most of Pegasus' cards exist too. It's mainly about what you can make the most broken kind of challenge withing the boss duel rules. With Z-ARC for example, that would probably involve a 4000 ATK ace that's just normal summoned, which summons 2500+ ATK monsters when it destroys something, and maybe the hidden effect is it can also do that in response to an Extra deck summon. Add in that Trap that destroys 4 cards in the opponent's hand and you've got a boss Duel I don't think anything else in Arc-V could beat.
Bohmans deck is too weak and also has WAY too many cards. Probably would be light or Ai with the anime arival cyberse and some other stuff they come up with. Most likley light cause he's easiest to make.
I used to be a TO a few years back, and found out about these and used them a few times. For such small decks, they're really fun to use aswell as play against, as it's a damn near constant struggle against one another (though the boss usually wins). Wish there was more stuff like this for the game.
Boss Duels always reminded me of the Archenemy decks in MTG, where one player plays an overpowered villain deck with special rules VS multiple opponents. I wish they sold Boss Duel decks, or maybe included cards from them in booster packs at random.
I really really want to know all the "boss duel"/event cards. Like Upper Deck's _Seal of Orichalcos_ stealing the opponent's soul or the mysterious _Millennium Eyes Virus_
They should make an official commercial ruleset for the current TCG/OCG for Boss Duels. Since it was very clear that both Konami and the Consumers wanted to keep finding different ways to play this game. Something that a lot of other TCG’s don’t seem to do at all from what I noticed.
I was trying to implement something like this on my city, but instead of anime cards I was thinking on banned cards or pre-nerfed cards while wearing a costume of a Yugioh Monster, sadly I didn't have the budget for the costume and covid-19 killed the rest of the idea.
You should use this time to perfect the Boss Duel. Your idea, combined with official Boss Duel Rules, could make for an interesting Tourney like duel match. Like, you play one match (3 duels with 3 different duelists) then fight a Mini Boss (which'll be a Monster Boss, most likely the dueter- antagonist's Ace. Then the next 3 rounds, with the final duel being against a Boss. So, D1>D2>D3>MB>D1>D2>D3>Bss
The fact that the Don Thousand deck contains the two Numbers with 10.000 and 100.000 ATK is pretty dope. P.S: A good boss deck would be an Orichalcos Deck with Shunoros and Divine Serpent.
I think for 5ds and especially for don thousand you probably want to at least know the whole 10 000 and 100 000 atk situation and build a deck based partially around that.
@@U1TR4F0RCE Hmm, that kind of makes we wonder, are you told which deck you face before the boss duel? Man if they had only made a few more Boss decks, I could've seen this be a really fun, challenging, & popular game at events.
I feel like a special version of this event could be done with a Zarc themed event with a few extra additions: *For the Duelists* Any of the defeated duelist can rejoin the duel during the Boss' End Phase, as long as they rejoin with a completely different deck & at least one of the other duelists is still alive before the end of the boss' turn-- BUT the duelist rejoins the duel with only 2000 LP. *For the Boss(Zarc)* The Deck has 13 cards instead of 8 & will have an Extra Deck. Start with Supreme King Gate Zero, Supreme King Gate Infinity, 2 Supreme King Dragon Darkwurms & Astrograph Sorcerer (With a changed effect to use the supreme King Dragons versions of the Dimensional Dragons instead of the original 4). Its 1st deck card will be Supreme Face-off, the 2nd deck card will be Supreme Disdain, the 3rd deck card will be Supreme King Dragon Odd-Eyes, & the 4th deck card will be Supreme Rage. Zarc's Extra Deck will have Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom, Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing, Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion & Supreme King Z-ARC. Z-ARC will have this secret (Quick) effect: Once per rotation, Destroy all cards in the duelist's Spell and Trap Card Zones. One of my favorite duels in the whole franchise is Yuma vs Nistro and Dextra. I love it since the villain is always the boss, but here it's the hero as the boss. Is this the only time this happens? I haven't seen anything past Zexal. Also, Astral isn't there until the end, so we get to see how much Yuma's skills have grown. It's exciting watching Yuma hold his own when he's outnumbered like this. He only needed Astral's help to deal the final blow.
Great job on the video man. I tried to look up and read the Boss Rules before but holy crap they were very confusing in just text form, you did a good job explaining it. Also it's a shame that the boss cards don't have unique art, would've been cool.

Granted they already do this with the 8 cards and they are allowed to use said 8 cards infinitely in loop, but I feel like having more varied and separated effects would make the duel more interesting. Boss duel sounds cool on paper but it wasn't that great in practice due to the odd rules. The bosses are a little too broken for what is supposed to be a casual format geared toward kids. Beating the boss depends less on skill and more on knowing its weaknesses going in, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Sounds like it's time to print up some proxies. I always loved the concept of Archenemy in Magic (okay, so I really just loved hamming it up as a cackling villain), and this is basically that, but in Yu-Gi-Oh.
It seems like toon decks would own a lot of these bosses besides boss #2, with boss 2 being weak to meta decks. But I think chain burn would be also fairly strong, since dimension wall bypasses basically every effect in the game that isn't a blanket negate.
i did something like this a few months back, at the fairly small local's i go to where i was the said "boss" with only a life point boost (setting me up with 14,000), with a blue eyes chaos max deck. my one of my two friends ran a masked hero deck (which was probably the harder one of the two) and a the other ran a pretty generic dragon deck, lets say, i probably made Kiaba proud
I actually used to play this with my friends back in the day before covid. It was really fun. We'd get one guy with a super meta deck, and we'd use our fun rogue decks. They'd get a ton of LP (Usualy 30 thousand) and we'd get 8000. It was the best before covid happened.
After watching this video I immediately came up with an Earthbound Immortal boss deck that I thought was pretty decent. For those who are interested, the cards are as follows: Start 1.Earthbound Geoglyph 2. Call of the Earthbound 3. Offerings to the Immortals 4. Roar of the Earthbound 5. Ultimate Earthbound Immortal Card 1: Earthbound Whirlwind Card 2: Earthbound Wave Card 3: Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu Edit: I think any Earthbound Immortal could work for this deck, but I chose Aslla Piscu because It was the only I have and is my personal Favorite.
Might as well put Wiraqocha Rasca in there with it's anime effect which is unaffected by spell/trap card and can put their life point to measly 1 point by skipping battle phase. I remember in Earthbound Immortal arc in 5ds, Yusei and the others form 3 team to fight Godwin which is perfectly fit this format.
A yugioh video game with an actual story mode with a boss duel at the end would be awesome ! Or perhaps have boss duels as a mode in a online multi-player game. Link evolution could definitely use this and tag duels
I wish I saw this sooner. This is a brilliant concept. I'd love play this with people, but I've only got one friend who only picked the game up recently after asking me to teach them
This is something I want to do! But my deck is a sub par noble kights beatdown deck.. that revolves around getting a monster to hopefully bring out other monsters and to get rid of equip cards so when I summon my xyz king of the Nobel knights to get the maximum equip spells onto it to keep monsters off of the field.... but that’s only if I can keep a monster out there for a bit....
Years ago, when I use to play Yugioh with my 2 best friends, we would play 2v1 (they against me) since I had a much better deck and they would try to take me down. And we would make reference of the duel between Dartz vs Yugi & Kaiba... Good old times.
Interesting idea but I don't like how a boss deck is not only fixed, but so small. It would be easy to mix in a few copies or even invent a few new ones supporting the boss' established theme, such as new Toon support for Pegasus or stuff that increases the power of Numeron monsters for Don Thousand. Other possible boss decks: Dartz, Yubel, Godwin, Aporia, Dr. Faker, Vector, Z-Arc. Yubel's might be a bit weak for a boss, but maybe include errata'd versions of the legal cards with better effects.
Hello here Sam! Been a big fan for years. Even though I’m not really playing yugioh actively aside from the digital versions, but I’m always excited to learn more about the game either the lore or the duelists or whatever there is! So here’s my question for you and everyone in the comments. If they had kept going with the boss duels who would the bosses be from Arc-V and Vrains? And what would be their special effect? I’d say Z-ARC for the arc-v boss and either lightning or A.I. For the Vrains boss. Not really sure on hidden abilities.
I made my own boss deck an then asked my family how many of them wanted to duel me and my entire family wanted to duel me so instead of a 3 vs 1 it became a 4 vs 1
if someone was using a zombie deck and brought out red-eyes zombie necro dragon with zombie world on the field would it gain attack points for teammates monsters and boss monsters?
Honestly I'm surprised none of the video games used this as an optional final boss. Especially legacy of the duelist. Like imagine if after you beat all the story/reverse duels and challenge duels, bosses are suddenly listed at the top of each generation. You get to control the protagonist of that incarnation and pick up to 2 cpu players to ally with from the current gen and any gen whose boss you already beat and they have a more competitive and updated version of thier deck, eg Crow would have blackwing Xyz monsters, and you play the boss from each generation plus unlock the deck of your allies which would encourage you to beat it with more characters especially characters you normally wouldn't use much. It could be a fun final challenge especially if you have to use a deck similar to your allies. Maybe even have alternatives for certain card, eg yugi could use the 20th anniversary edition of dark magician etc.

It seems like toon decks would own a lot of these bosses besides boss #2, with boss 2 being weak to meta decks. But I think chain burn would be also fairly strong, since dimension wall bypasses basically every effect in the game that isn't a blanket negate.
1:50 A Super Smash Bros reference?!
This honestly sounds like a cool event thing to do at locals
i did something like this a few months back, at the fairly small local's i go to
where i was the said "boss" with only a life point boost (setting me up with 14,000), with a blue eyes chaos max deck.
my one of my two friends ran a masked hero deck (which was probably the harder one of the two) and a the other ran a pretty generic dragon deck,
lets say, i probably made Kiaba proud
2:41 Well, that was unexpected :D
This would be a cool addition to master duel
A Zarc boss deck: This card cannot be destroyed if Fusion Synchro and Xyz exist in the all players graveyard or banished zone. Now that is a nightmare
…E-HERO Electrum? Need your help!
You know things have gotten serious if a Boss Duel starts.
Oh boy, can't wait to use those life points to special summon garbage lord
I actually used to play this with my friends back in the day before covid. It was really fun.
We'd get one guy with a super meta deck, and we'd use our fun rogue decks. They'd get a ton of LP (Usualy 30 thousand) and we'd get 8000. It was the best before covid happened.
After watching this video I immediately came up with an Earthbound Immortal boss deck that I thought was pretty decent.
For those who are interested, the cards are as follows:
Start
1.Earthbound Geoglyph
2. Call of the Earthbound
3. Offerings to the Immortals
4. Roar of the Earthbound
5. Ultimate Earthbound Immortal
Card 1: Earthbound Whirlwind
Card 2: Earthbound Wave
Card 3: Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu
Edit: I think any Earthbound Immortal could work for this deck, but I chose Aslla Piscu because It was the only I have and is my personal Favorite.
Hey are those bionicals
Sick 😂😂
A yugioh video game with an actual story mode with a boss duel at the end would be awesome ! Or perhaps have boss duels as a mode in a online multi-player game. Link evolution could definitely use this and tag duels
I wish I saw this sooner. This is a brilliant concept. I'd love play this with people, but I've only got one friend who only picked the game up recently after asking me to teach them
The BIONICLES!!
This is more like the final duel of 5Ds season 1, Yusei, Jack, and Crow vs Goodwin.
Boss Duels would be interesting if it was just 1 vs 1 against a boss who uses a 40 card deck with no forbidden/limited restrictions
muscle medic would be UNBELIEVABLY busted against that 100k attack point monster. just absolutely obscene
I love this idea and I did have some fear of sharing a field, but now that you explained the ruling I'm alright with this.
Love this so much. From the side skits to the skills.
The fact bioncle is in the video just makes me happy.
Love the use of Bionicle figures for the players.
Wow I wanna try out boss duels they should add this to duel links
Jfc I forgot about all the Z-ONE Timelords. Hell of a Time War tbh
Years ago, when I use to play Yugioh with my 2 best friends, we would play 2v1 (they against me) since I had a much better deck and they would try to take me down. And we would make reference of the duel between Dartz vs Yugi & Kaiba... Good old times.
I've never heard of Boss duels interesting!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭,, that voice over was FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!! .
My fuckin guy, with The Bionicles to show us how it works
1:12 Are those Bionicles?
Yes they are
Bionicle yugioh or even better Bio-yugioh
YES!
if only the boss duels had 8(0) card deck
In Magic we call this *Archenemy!*
imagine this at a ycs where the champion gets to update their deck with anime exclusive cards and the 3 runner ups get to compete again
I LOVED doing this sort of stuff in the original WoW card game.
I would love to play bakoura (when it comes out) vs a slifer deck obelisk deck and Ra deck, also all the abilities pair well with each challenger
8:38
Dartz: That's rookie numbers.
I see a Gray fan
Interesting idea but I don't like how a boss deck is not only fixed, but so small. It would be easy to mix in a few copies or even invent a few new ones supporting the boss' established theme, such as new Toon support for Pegasus or stuff that increases the power of Numeron monsters for Don Thousand.
Other possible boss decks: Dartz, Yubel, Godwin, Aporia, Dr. Faker, Vector, Z-Arc. Yubel's might be a bit weak for a boss, but maybe include errata'd versions of the legal cards with better effects.
I loved how your using bionicles as an example for this video.
Tgs anime you should do a boss duel with other UA-camrs sorry yugitubers i love your channel keep up the good work
Hello here Sam!
U just gotta love little kurirboh
This needs to be in duel links
Its all fun until my other 2 team mates go offline mid game
I’m sure a team of three duelists could build three decks JUST to defeat one of these “bosses”.
I like that people did these, but why isn’t there a Dr. Faker deck? That was one of the best duels in the anime!
I couldn't help but notice the bionicles
Thanks, man! After quarantine, I'll introduce it ti my friends. Well, I'll tweek some skills so we can olay like the regular game
