Cool, I like this kind of content. China is large and diverse. Tier 3 city is something I haven't had chance to know about. In village, they have election. I mean real election to found village committee. It calls grass-roots democracy. It is very good if you have chance to talk with the local about it. Cheers
Someone mentioned Daniel Dumbrill who is also a Canadian and fellow vlogger. I have enjoyed many of his videos... one set took me thru Tibet. Another vlogger I recently discovered is Anni Guli who is a young pretty Uyghur who makes videos of Xinjiang. Thing is, she speaks Mandarin (I believe)... can't understand anything she says... but she is charming and exuberates a very positive girlish spirit. Love you guys videos. Keep it up. You talk... but I look at the surroundings and scenery behind you. When we see what you see, world ignorance will be conquered. The first time I came to China many years ago, I stood on a junction of the Great Wall just outside of Beijing. I look at the wall going over mountains one way,... then look at the wall going over mountains the other way... and I thought, "they got 4000 miles of this??? Man, I'm proud to be half-Chinese!" My other half is Japanese. Proud to be Japanese too. Katana... most perfect sword in the world... not only a deadly weapon but a beautiful object of art.
I come from Shunde ! What I want to talk about Shunde is that in fact it is a rich city in China,(may be seems a littel tradtional and not so many tall buildings),it has two top 500 companies in the world. It is the hometown of Bruce LEE, it is one of the "Captial of food" admitted by the UNISCO
Love this type of video. China is a huge country with many different regional food and cultures and ethnic groups of people. Good for u for travelling and experiencing all these wonderful diverse cultures and food. I wish I travlled like that when I was your age! Enjoy it! R.T from Canada
1:14 I think she said fish cake instead of moon cake XD, but I could be wrong tho! If so, then those are some unique mooncakes that I haven't tried ( yet ) in my 20 years of existence 🤣. loved this video as well! have fun in China ^^ and add oil! best wishes from the Netherlands ❤ ( English isn't my first language, just so you know if you have trouble understanding this comment XD ).
Don't think this is considered 'rural' in China. Like what Numuves said, tier 3 city/town maybe, or just a small town. There are other extremely rural, mountainous town/villages. Maybe he can do some videos on the really rural ones.
Shunde is a huge district / county ; so which village were you in exactly ? Just in case its my paternal ancestral home as I saw my surname on a doorway.
@@numuves Hope you are doing well during this crisis. Perhaps you could make another video about 武漢 that would debunk those western media and misconception like your other videos ?

Another interesting video of China. It’s like Chinese Venice. Wooo I just loved that 900 year old bridge and the old buildings. China is filled with history and each city or province has its own charm. Ok it’s on my bucket list for places to go. I will definitely skip the snake and deer penis alcohol though. Not that adventurous
Thanks for leaving a comment Carrie! China is really a terribly interesting country. It's around the same size of Europe and I would say say it has similar language and cultural differences as Europe but the empire was able to unite 2000 years ago. Ya i'm not sure if I'm gonna go for the deer penis booze again! haha
Ah your cantonese is actually not bad and with out a heavy accent. I thought you didn't speak any. This is a great chance for you to learn the language if you wasn't fluent. Good luck on your travels
No offence but I think shunde is tier 4 or 5 lol but I really love to visit such an amazing ancient city or town like that.loved all your videos, keep it up bro.
I would love to do a vid on Wuhan or on the virus but, I don't live there and I think the whole situation is quite complicated. I need to know more before I make anything.

Thanks for sharing your lovely memory with me
The opera and building looks so Cantonese ! I’m happy that they kept the culture quit well
This district is neighbouring my ancestor's hometown, Jiangmen (Kongmoon). I'm Malaysian Cantonese.
I really like Malaysia. Thanks for your comment
Wow, the town that you guys visiting is my grandfather’s father town... amazing... I have been there twice... and this bring me back some memories...
@Shirley SK To, you are very lucky. Shunde is also my ancestral county but I have not had the chance to visit it. I hope to do so one day.
I think you may like "Daniel Dumbrill" vlogs. You may become friends actually. He lives in Shenzhen and is doing very impressive videos about China.
i agree!! they seems to have a lot in common
Yeah, I'd love to be friends with him. His vids are great.

Good content to show what a tier 3 town looks like and the more ancient looking part of China. Very informative esp. those exotic chinese wine.😁😁👍👍

900 year-old bridge should be built in Song Dynasty(960-1279).
The boat guy was wrong then... lol
numuves yes, Ming Dynasty was around 600 years ago
it was from Song Dynasty
Shunde is a huge district / county ; so which village were you in exactly ? Just in case its my paternal ancestral home as I saw my surname on a doorway.
haha shunde is where my anchestor from..
顺德美食之都 看得口水直流呢
If 900 or 1000 years ago, then it would place this around the Song Dynasty not Ming. Ming only existed between 1368 - 1644.
A friend and I once had a shot of alcohol in Panyu from a jar containing a cobra. We both slept for 24 hours.
Numuves, I didn't realize you could speak Cantonese!👍
I can only speak a very little bit
How come the bridge was built 900 years ago, yet in the Ming Dynasty, which started in AD 1368 (652 years till now)?
I think that's what the boat guy said
