Just want to say that Shawn is an amazingly intuitive and empathic interviewer...his active listening skills are admirable and he lets the guest be the focus. Having taken life in hunting, seeing birth, and experiencing the passing of a human while in their immediate presence, in every case I have felt something spiritually take place. The most profound was being woke from a deep sleep due to exhaustion, only to realize that my mother, who had been removed from life support two days prior, was passing at that moment. You could certainly feel it and her spirit leave her body. That experience is what brought me to Jesus.

My mother was in hospice care in her home and I would visit her every day. One evening my father said that he didn’t want any visitors to come to see mom. I was mad and hurt being told not to come to her house - being that I work in healthcare and have I seen and been a part of death and seeing horrible trauma. I was at home that evening and suddenly I experienced a feeling that I never experienced before, I compare it to an extremely anxious feeling of knowing something was happening. I raced to my parents home only to find out that she had passed away just after leaving my house to see her. I will never forget that feeling, and I know it was her letting me know she was departing. I have no other explanation, and I will never forget it.

Is it muscle relaxation, lungs deflation, loss of focus in the eyes etc etc etc.......or is it the soul leaving the body? I cannot say for sure, but you dont need to watch a heart monitor to know something just happened.

On Jan. 21. 1970 I had just turned 20 yo and was in my first fire fight in Viet Nam. A couple of hours into it I shot three guys manning an RPG that was working us over about 30 meters away. I still catch myself dealing with that. Nothing like this mans up close & personal situation but in dreams & quite moments... MAN!!! I'd wake up dreaming about seeing their families being angry at me for killing their sons... Even their wives & kids finding me and me witnessing the pain I'd caused. Three things finally helped me deal with it, (1). The realization that I saved lives on our side by pulling that trigger then and other times in my tour. (2). They wouldn't have felt any remorse for killing me. (3). God knows I was just doing what was required of me and is forgiving even if it was done with malice or any pride that followed it. If you find you're struggling with stuff like this, remember this... especially #3.

Having been a working LEO for nearly 30 years, I have seen death, participated in bring in life and held people as they left this earth. I had no concept of true loss or joy until I experienced the first time seeing someone die as a result of horrific trauma or seeing the birth of a child. I remember the first time I saw someone die in front of me. I was a 26 year old rookie police officer and I held the hand of a man trapped in a car after an accident. I remember my FTO was on the radio begging for fire to expedite their response while I held the man's hand. He just looked at me and I saw it when he left. I saw it in his eyes when his sprit left. Even now, after all of this time, I remember his face. Conversely, I remember being the first human being to see my daughter when she was born. I remember looking at her thinking, Good God, this is all you. I'm still trying to figure out how to correlate those feelings.

10 year paramedic and previous deployed Army 91B, what we see when people die is someone going from a natural state (to us) alive... to an unatural state (to us) dead. If you are religious, or at anytime was religious, a lot of your beliefs can personalize the experience to fit a "passing soul" type of thing. The reality is, what you're seeing is challenging. You see what is eneviatabley your future, your friends and familys future, and persons last moments of life up close and personally.. The first one can always take on a much deeper or confirming experience. Thats why you never hear about the 5th guy i watched die.

1981 .UK . Dad had a heart attack .l went to the hospital, he was unconscious and l held his hand for a long time . Next day l was removing a semi's gearbox and it slipped on the dolly and covered me in old fashion horrendous stinking gear oil . Just then my foreman came to me and said get to the hospital. I rushed home in a panic and jumped in the shower to get this awful stink and oil off me . A few moments later l relaxed completely and a wave of calm came over me .l knew Dad had just died. I finished and went down stairs and phoned the hospital. They said your father died a few minutes ago. It was like he was telling me it was OK Both of us were not strong believers and l am still not..

War is terrible. Nothing good about it. Our guys think they’re doing good by killing the enemy. But in the end they killed a poorly misguided human. Their life could have been totally different if they were raised in a different environment.
Pray to God and ask for forgiveness. You did what you thought was the right thing to do.

If you wanna see a really good version of the life leaving someone in a movie watch saving private Ryan after cpt miller (Tom hanks) says “earn this, earn it”.
That’s the look on camera those moments after he says it.

We are still a part of the spirit world while being encased in a physical life. Some people are in tune with that and on the extreme other side there are many that don't experience anything of their spirit side. At once fascinating and at times horrifying.

Huh….. I’m not too sure about the veracity of the story.
I deployed with John and don’t remember him watching a guy….. that he just shot…..take his last breath
John deployed to Iraq with a unit called the ERU in 07-08 that saw little to no action. After that, he got out to make the big bucks.
So….I’m not sure what secret war this happened in.
So….. now John fits into the same category as Princess Warrior, Rob O’Neil and countless others who exaggerate the shit out of stories at the expense of their TRIDENT.
    Good job John.

For clarification, Luke 16: 19-31 talks about once some dies. The rich man who was in hades could see and talk to Lazarus who was by Abrahams side. The rich man begged Abraham to please warn his family so they dont end up in hades. Abraham said they have moses and the prophets. If they wont listen to them they simply wont listen. Once that sand runs out of the hourglass, either with or not with God. These dreams are his counscience, dreams also can be used by bad spirits to lie. Dont put alot of stock into dreams being true

According to my sources at DEVGRU, John is a legend in the teams.
His nickname is “Red” over there and he’s killed more dudes than anyone in the teams.
Apparently, he was watching Bin Laden from his safe house balcony weeks before the operation took place.
It’s also confirmed from my source that he took the shots just as Rob O’Neil was entering Bin Ladins room from said balcony.
