When I saw the original puzzle I absolutely loved it. The way you switch the light bridge for the funnel, how you have to get the cube to the second level but not actually put it on the button and how you simply need to respawn it at the end. Such elegant puzzles are rare. I just had to add my visual touch to it.
You can enter the easter egg room by walking on the broken debris in the water. There's a small island in the corner with a lot of plants where you can jump down from the platform on the middle level. It's not my best secret, I'll admit that, the door is really distracting and I didn't even consider the attention grabbing effects of the flashing light when I made this.
What coding options are available in Hammer Editor? I know Python is one of them, but I may have seen some C++. I want to really confirm what options are available so maybe I can make a map with some custom elements. I personally know C#, and if C++ is an option, it would be useful to know as it would indicate to me an easier code language transition pathway rather than if I tried to learn Python (if that makes any sense).
@@achannelwithnopurpose1977 Hammer is a map editor not an IDE. You can write vscripts in squirrel but without the engine's source code you can't do any programming
@@StefanH I know it’s not an IDE. I just wanted to know what languages I can import from an IDE like visual studio or squirrel. Probably should’ve been more clear.

Yay, glad you played it! Also, I totally forgot that Stefan H. is the creator of the future Portal Revolution, it's nice to realise that this map allows to see what awaits us in the mod. Hope we can play it soon, vive la révolution!
Thank you for reccomending it, great choice, i love maps that look great like this and also have a good puzzle, even if i blindly miss the simplest of moves for ages like this time, and yeah i've had Revolution in my steam wishlist for a while now, it looks amazing.

32:48 - If you're meant to go from the outside, then you could jump down into the pool (menacing pool dive) onto the bit of debris conveniently floating next to the wall on the goo. Walk all the way to the hole, crawl through and bridge across ;)

32:48 i didn't even think to try that, i never trust bits of debris in the goo to physically exist anymore, i know i've tried them in other maps and fallen straight through because they're just decorative. Or are you saying that particular model of debris goo, is always actually physical?

I've sort of ditched the numbering thing for these (although it's still technically in the description now), the idea was that if i don't have to always produce them in the order they are going to be published then hopefully i can get and do more, more often, it's sort of working out for now, i also wanted to really simplify the thumbnails it felt like it made some look too cluttered with all the text and icons on blocking the view of some really pretty map screenshots.

so apparently, those bit of debris actually physically exist and you can just walk over to that hole! i didn't even consider that, i never trust those debris in the goo models, i've tried them in previous maps and fallen straight through them lol

Plus you haven’t played any of my maps for a long time. Also did you even try standing on those obstacles submerged in the goo? It does lead you to that small hole
@atom What happened to your map "Ghostly Atoms" ? I was a big fan of that map. I recommended it to ngeruma.
@@rishirajbaul3727 The map is still existing. However due to the difficulty of this chamber, it may take some time for ngeruma to solve it. But I’m glad you liked the map.
Actually I asked because there was some interval of time after I recommended the map when it seemed to be unavailable.
@psychological_atom 's maps are genuinely pretty intimidating to me, so i know if i intend to try and record one i have to be prepared for it to take a long time and to likely fail at it too.

The music used in this map was file named: zrezlon_tewangrown_3.wav, i believe it must be a custom made track by Stefan H./Tewan, possibly for the Portal: Revolution mod.
Maybe if you contact them they can let you use it for your too :D

I think there is actually a Portal VR mod now with real working portals too.

I was planning to make a portal 2 water level. You can hate me for it but who knows. Play StefanH's maps and wish list portal revolution.
water level, as in like the player is underwater? or lots of platforming precariously over the deadly, deadly goo? either way it will be fun/horrible :D
