- Savile Row Master Tailor Andrew Ramroop talks through this sports jacket made from a concept cloth, with a button up collar - made by Maurice Sedwell Ltd.
Could watch this guy all day long
Munda ringtone
Me too!
Asmr
Me as well Sir.
Same with me. I never wear suits but there is something very mesmerizing just listen to this guy talk about these things.
“So what can you tell me about this suit?”
Mr Ramroop: “ 🤙🏻 “
@@MrHarrystank I taught myself to play drums and I was playing professionally by 22, and I played alto saxophone and clarinet since the 6th grade until the 1st year of college and I picked them up very quickly and I was quite good. Not trying to show off but I am pretty musically talented. All these things and different music require a great deal of finesse. And I am a fucking brute who collects AK variant rifles, gives hard high fives and competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu boxing and mixed martial arts in general lol. There is nothing subtle about me until I play an instrument.
Beautiful and colourful
what’s with the essays in this section lmao
Thanks for the laugh hahahah I hadn't notice his hand was like that the whole time
I love how he combines playful details with traditional impeccable craftsmanship.
This man has such a nice calming voice. His tailoring is incredible. I’ve learned so much just from watching these videos.
I could listen to tailors go on for hours about suits, I just wish I would use one enough to need one.
Love the way he says, "hea"
What we have hea..
Me: I'd like a suit.
Maurice: Certainly. Is this for a formal event or a social affair?
Me: Social.
Maurice: And is the for day or evening?
Me: I'd like one for day and one for night.
Maurice: And what style?
Me: Italian.
Maurice: How many buttons?
Me: Two.
Maurice: Trousers?
Me: Tapered.
Maurice: How about the lining?
Me: Tactical.
Maurice: Silicon carbide discs, ceramic matrices, a company laminate, cutting edge body armour. We just sew it between the fabric and the lining. Zero penetration. However, quite painful I'm afraid.
Me: Could you do a rush order?
Maurice: I sure can. Where would you like to have it sent?
Me: The Hotel.
Bruuuuhhhhh they should put him in a Bond Movie and let him do his thing one time. Imagine him tailoring a suit for Chris Hemsworth who I nominate as the new James Bond.
Do enjoy your party.
Andrew Ramroop is a man of focus, and commitment, to Style. I once saw him walk in to a bar and professionally size up three men with a napkin, and a pencil. A Pencil! The men he fitted in his signature style that day lay the foundation for what sartorial class means for us all.
Wore this to my McDonald's job interview, I instantly became the owner of the store
Intense.
I thought McDonald’s was a restaurant.
@@OBokanan not after that interview
😂
Killin me 😂
I don't know it for a fact or anything, but I feel like making all of those lines match up must require an incredible amount of time and effort.
Mr. Ramroop's voice in these Videos is addictive. I watch these Videos just to listen to the Voice. Very tempted by the Suits! They are stunning.
Probably cost ten times more than your house...car...and career earnings *combined* , but...
I gave him a continental gold coin and I got to see his "special material" in the back room.
lmfao im dying
This is my favorite suit jacket! Stunning, and the detail is simply incredible. A true work of art.
He's so smooth.
"the pride of good tailoring" Bravo.
I see it as "lining elements up straight on a curved surface:.
Mr. Ramroop rightly is proud of his and his teams’ incredible attention to detail - you really won’t find this level of craftsmanship hardly anywhere.
He is too modest to point out (not that he needs to) that the jacket is an absolute masterpiece of design - it belongs in the Tate. I don't usually like to fall into the trap of declaring that great craft is the same thing as art. It does a disservice to greatness in craftsmanship to imply that it somehow “rises” to being art at the top of its game.
Prof. H. L. Gates’s comment elsewhere on this channel: Andrew Ramroop is not a tailor. Andrew Ramroop is an artist.” Even as I think that statement does a disservice to all talented tailors, as if to be an artist means you can’t be a tailor, I still must throw caution to the wind and agree, and add that he isn’t just an artist, he’s a true master.
Thanks for sharing these videos with us - would love to see more of these stunning designs here on UA-cam. It’s fascinating and it may be some time before I will be able to have one of my own.
A true craftsman. He seemed a bit proud of this particular jacket, as he should be!!
Insane quality of construction. If I could afford and lived in london i think this one of best on savile row.
That blazer looks so fluid and beautiful. I think id rather give my money to this man than Kiton. God bless Mr. Sewell. I hope to meet you.
That is such an awesome jacket. Would buy in a heartbeat
Love how he elegantly talks about his designs. Cool dude
This sport jacket is so unique and interesting. I love it!!!
We need a compilation from unintentional ASMR guy. The videos are wonderful but short
Check out his new tailoring tools or seeing a button vids
I just love Andrews craftsmanship. There’s something about being able to disconnect from media and discover
Thank you for taking time ,classic tailoring.
That little smirk he gives when he says, “this is a hallmark of quality craftsmanship.” #flex
I like his little smile at the end, he knows he’s right. M.
0:24 - “what we have here” 👌🏽
Ooooo "here"
Mr Ramroop needs to be the tailor for players in the NBA/NFL Drafts 💯
Amazing the difference of how normal people see garments vs how tailors see em
The sheen on those fabrics is unreal.
I love your crafmanship passion pacience ❗
That jacket is a phenomenal piece of bespoke tailoring!
This is such a beautiful jacket!
This man loves to establish his lines.
I’m on a Maurice Sedwell binge watch
You know someone is good at what they do when they point at things with their pinkie.
You know a man has class when he points with his pinky.
Man that's a cold ass jacket. I can't wait to visit MR. Ramroop's shop.
Nobody:
Maurice: 🤙🏽
beautiful I could never afford one but I appreciate fine craftsmanship just the same
That's a piece that can be pass down to next generation if one owns it
Mad style for days in the classic manner.
That jacket is amazing.
I cant get enough of listening to this guy...as I sit in my sweatpants. Lol!
Works of art!
Absolutely dignified. 💯
Somebody missing their drapes right about now
awww hes so proud of his jacket
I have been listening to this video for months and only just noticed the faint sound of what appears to be a ferry horn of some kind several times throughout.
He makes wonderful suits. I would love to have one made by him. I will keep dreaming....😂😂
Wow! Just wow! No words.
Wonderful dress
I wonder what kind of trousers one should wear to complement this jacket. Lovely indeed
I think the jacket is quite versatile. For the countryside some corduroy flat front slacks would work nicely, not wide wale. With all the splendid complimentary colors in fabric, for me personally, I could see 4 to 5 different colored fine wool slacks that would look smashing.
I wouldn’t worry, all eyes will be on the jacket. Don’t needs trousers, bargain 👍
Huh! I only just noticed, there isn’t any button on the lapel for when he turns up the lapel to ‘keep the cold out’. I guess they didn’t want a button sewn on there for this one, because the button holes are there. Love the videos and the tailoring, just to be clear!
What a great jacket!
Mr. Ramroop. We need more videos. Please.
Lovely jacket
hopefully one day i will be able to treat myself to one of your suits
This looks like some Dr. Who type shit
Or John Wick as many of the comments are.
Wish I could get this with my military uniform. Make the Marines jealous lol
I'm not a fan of mixing cool and warm colours, and prefer cool,
so I'd want the whole jacket to be like the front right and rear left. 😎👌
Have to make a trip to get quite a few tailored suits
Unusual 👍
Soothing smooth talker
That's one bada$$ jacket.
How much is one of this man's suits I wonder?
Class.
I like this jacket but i would have no idea what to wear with it
If you're a Jamaican Dancehall artist you could get away with wearing this with a pair of bright yellow pants.
Speedo's
Jeans and a plain shirt.
MoTC Thousands on the suit but $20 on the rest of the outfit. Lol.
@@DwightLivesMatter
I assume that someone buying this jacket isn't getting his other clothes from K-mart, lol.
YSL or Gucci jeans can run close to $1000. Likewise their shirts.
I want one of these suits.....I'm sure I'll never afford one
Pointing with the pinky. You know it’s gonna be good
I’m not usually into these “traditionalist” male garments ... regardless of the profile picture :p but this is is stunning
Very masterful
100% Excellent!!!
"Mr. Humphries, are you free"?
beautiful. would this be a good colorful suit for war?
I think this guy cares about tailoring quite a bit, and that he’s pretty pretty pretty goooood at his work 😂
My…my navy suit for war….I need it with pocket details.
what artists
"Silicone carbide discs...ceramic matrices...accompanied laminate...cutting edge body armor. We just sew it between the fabric and the lining. Zero penetration. However....quite painful, I'm afraid."
And to think, the John Wick movies were originally thought to be a quick throwaway thing that wouldn't get noticed. Now we're three movies in, probably just one more to go, and hopefully some sort of "early years" Netflix series that could go on for years.
@@BuriedFlame Yep, I love how well the franchise is doing. Hopefully Hollywood realises that it is possible to be financially successful with entirely original stories. It doesn’t always have to be sequel/reboot/origins/comic book adaption over and over and over again..
i want to be there.
The tailoring is at the highest level, but that jacket is hideous.
It could only be worn by the MC at a Premiere of Cirque du Soleil.
Very nice!!
Why is it called a sports jacket?
In the 1920s and 30s ppl wore them while playing sports games becouse it is made much more thinner therefore they would not be overheated.
Never wear but man your all class.
Great presentation
well made well very classy
Pants to match?
Those buttons on the sleeves are made of coins, but are they *functional?*
they are real and functional
I seriously want to know what this costs. Because I'm sure I can't afford it.
I think I just fell down a suit shaped rabbit hole...?
His voice🤤🤤🤤🤤✌️😍
When I watch these videos, I always wonder how they tailor for men whose waist is as big or bigger than their chest. I watch a lot of old movies, and the fat actors, from Sydney Greenstreet to Eugene Pallette, were always immaculately tailored, usually in 3-piece suits, and you could never see a roll of fat even (rarely) when they took off their jacket. Do tailors still make suits for gents with that shape? Because I am one. The stuff for sale in the big and tall shops is horrible.
Of course, that's what bespoke means.
So relaxing and amazing. However I would never want to wear this jacket. The color combination just doesn't make sense to me.
What if the gentleman has “no waist”?
The problem with this is I ain’t got a waist
👍
High quality but people might think its made of oddments.
pls be healthy & wait for my visit
Took me a bit to realize the jacket was different colors because it’s a display only. Imagine if you requested to wear it anyway.
@@absintheminded8466 it’s called a concept jacket. It’s meant to give the customer an idea of what each material and color would look like.
Asmr
what is the 5th button?
I think he says, "and again," referring to what looks like another '19th Hole' button.
