As a unwashed plebeian I never thought I'd be interested in bespoke tailoring. Andrew somehow has that 'it' factor which draws you in. His voice, personality, style, mannerism and passion for his craft really sell the image of a true professional. If I had the money and needed a suit he'd be my go to guy. Keep making videos Mr Ramroop!
I'm always impressed by how perfectly they align the patterns on their suits. Pockets, sleeves, lapels... everything lines up!
pattern matching is not actually very hard to do, but it takes a LOT more fabric per item of clothing, which is why you never see it in cheap clothes.

I’m convinced that some people go through UA-cam giving ‘thumbs down’ to any video (no matter how well presented) without watching it just for ‘amusement’. The old proverb ‘small things amuse small minds’ is appropriate. Anyway the video got a thumbs up from me!

I don’t even like suits but Maurice is a true artist and craftsman that even me a suit hater makes me want to buy one of his.
Never have I been so facinated in tailoring. I found it interesting before. But this is a perfect example of how expert skills, performed by by an expert. Will always be captivating.

The attention to detail in your garments is far above all other tailoring houses.
I will never acquire the skills or patience to practice this craft, but I appreciate the knowledge. I know what to look for in quality garments.
I used this technique on a marching band uniform! Thanks for the tips about leaving some looseness and tucking the ends in. It took an urgent repair to the next level!

I think this gentleman has come to realize his talents have attracted not only the attention of the fashion minded but those simply interested in hearing him talk about these topics. The rate at which he is releasing videos seems to reflect that, Once a year, then once every few months, then once a month to now one every week or two.

I'm not sure if faith stepped in, but 2 days after watching this video, a button on my shorts fell off. I used this method for sowing it back on, and it worked amazingly! It feels a LOT stronger and robustly attached than before :)

My teacher taught me this exact technique when I was 12, I never appreciated her efforts, but she was a smart woman. I also iron my thread after waxing, but I was doing it to iron out the wax and twist, I hadn't realised it strengthened the thread too. A wonderful tutorial, thank you

Hi I am an upholsterer we use a moon shaped needle to do sewing but we call it slipping.top tip with the beeswax never seen that before good video 📹
I was just about to say that your voice sounds ( Mr.Ramroop) almost exactly like my uncle from Trinidad, then I saw your cufflinks! If he were still with us, Id ask where to purchase them for him, he was a man of style. Thank you for your videos, I know nothing of tailoring, but it's always fascinating to watch real artists and craftspeople at their trades.

That's a neat little trick, not tying a knot in the thread, but simply sticking the start of the thread in between the layers, and going back around once. I'll have to remember that when mending my coat buttons.

I never thought of waxing my threads before re-attaching buttons to my old jacket and usually never left a neck/shank on them, always wondering why they would be so tight.
Great work as with all the videos by the Maurice Sedwell team, I wished I could get a bespoke suit from you sometime.
