In 1990 I met Rodney and Mojo during the Amuck in America tour in Boston.

In 2016, I met Dean at Sound on Sound festival outside Austin. Then about 2 years later I met Rodney before the show at the Mohawk downtown. Two awesome experiences.

I met Dean, Joe and Rodney after a show at Skidmore in Saratoga N.Y. Soul Rotation was the latest offering. I snagged a setlist and got 3 of the only autographs I've ever bothered to ask for. Also swiped one of Rodney's empty Heineken bottles which is how you ended up with the clone you see in this video. Rodney grabbed the setlist and a big black marker, took a big sniff of the marker, drew a target and wrote "don't shoot, Rodney" took another big sniff, offered me some, took another sniff, handed me the paper and there was much rejoicing (yaaay). Dave had bee-lined for the door as soon as he latched his case. He did NOT look interested in socializing. I always worried that he hadn't enjoyed the show. I remember Joe's guitar having a big GEEZER sticker on it and I'm pretty sure Dean's kit had no reso heads and was packed up like nesting dolls.
Anyway, you guys were super gracious to this kid who not only walked behind the stage, but up onto the stage to say hi and to thank you for the awesome show. I knew I was probably 'crossing a line', but given the impact your music had had on me in the years before catching you live I took the selfish route and show you the thankful face of a kid who was better off because of your music. Still glad I did.

Happy New Years to the whole crew. Thanks to Joe for letting me document all his recent shows over the last couple years. One of my all time faves. Let do a NYC Dead Milkmen Show. I can book a spot

A friend of mine in the early 90's used to work at a chain bookstore on Michigan Ave in Chicago that got a lot of visiting celebs. One day he walked by the music section and encountered none other than Robert Plant reading 'Hammer of the Gods' and laughing hysterically!

Sitting in the hallway waiting for the doors to open for a Dead Milkmen show at the 930 club while tripping and looking up and seeing Joe looking at me and saying to him "I know who you are." and Joe not missing a beat saying "and I know who You are." back. Freaked me out for the rest of the night while I ran around the club during the show.

I got to meet the keyboard player for the Dead Milkmen, and drink a Guinness. And, met Kareem backstage at Bonnaroo when I was a concert photog.

I had a friend who tried a career in comedy. He fell asleep during the intermission of a George Carlin show. About 3 minutes into the second set, Carlin noticed him snoring, stopped for a minute, and proceeded to relentlessly *trash* him for his short attention span. *"yOu tHiNk YoU'rE hOt sHiT???!!!!"* I think was one of the many blurbs.

I'll swear to this day that Joe and Rodney were at the store I worked at,summer 1990,, though I could be wrong. Place called Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck NJ. I was collecting carts in the lot ,and hearing them talk I thought "those voices sound familiar" but didn't bother to go over and ask. Two people I did meet at Chiller Theater convention here in NJ are Reggie Bannister from Phantasm and Ken Foree from Dawn of the Dead. Both super cool, chill people that I talked to for a good 10 minutes each. Anyhoo,Happy New Years guys! And thanks for mentioning the band Drab Majesty. Checked out a couple (literally 2) songs and now I feel I'll be obsessed with them. Just wondering if there's any album of theirs that is a must listen.

I met Clint Howard at a horror movie convention. He was super friendly and we small talked for a while. Saw him the next morning at the breakfast buffet and he talked to me some more. Also saw Chuck Berry at Denny's. Can't say I met him because I didn't have the nerve to say anything. Heard he could be temperamental.

I worked for an airline for a couple of years and met several celebrities but two that stand out as incredibly friendly and polite are Maury Povich and Connie Chung. They treated everyone around them as if they were absolutely thrilled to make their acquaintance.

You guys are hilarious, synchronicity is wild.
For me, I recall, around San Diego in daily life, and repeatedly sighting Mojo Nixon in passing, always gave him a Mojo yell and he’d usually yell back something intelligible.

As I was living in NYC, I had several encounters, but one that sticks out is when I was in line for a movie, I started chatting with Tom Noonan, who was standing in line behind me. Of all the great films he's been in, I stupidly mention that I had recently seen Easy Money, to which he embarrassingly chuckled.

Happy New Year and thanks for another excellent episode. Although I've high-fived Andre Rieu, seen Elle MacPherson coming out of a Christian Dior fashion show in a meat dress and regularly see a member of Prefab Sprout in the supermarket, the most famous person I've spoken to is the former snooker player Mike Hallett at a train station.

I got to meet Pauly Shore too. He was doing a MC thing at a local casino on New Years Eve (funny that) a few years back and when he took a break he was just sitting there chilling with his girlfriend and I said something like "dude, loved all your movies, hate that hollywood doesn't put you in any anymore" and he just kinda looked at me like I just pissed in his oatmeal 🤣. Was still a fun night!

Last October I went to a video game convention which happened to be on my 18th birthday. We went to see the Scott the Woz panel and he wished me a happy birthday. Also I like to tell people I went to that gaming convention as a boy and left a man.

Also, all Rodney would have had to say to get me to watch the Pussy Riot vid is "band member pisses on portrait of Putin live on stage" . I've been posting that video on every social media outlet I know since watching it.

I want to hear about the celebrity encounter where you met Downtown Julie Brown on Club MTV, and put handcuffs on her! 🤣 Like, who came up with the idea to do that and did she totally bitch you guys out off camera? Perhaps that could be included in the "terrible things we've done" video. (Although I found it more hilarious than terrible.)
