I've been trying to find out how to know how long to cut each part of the cable assembly. And do you gust stop inserting when you feel a little resistance when inserting into the new connector ?
Actually after a little resistance is felt you need to push it gently a little more sort of like twisting it. This was the part I failed several attempts :-)
@@TechnologyMoments Thanks for the advice. After a few connectors going bad from the fiber breaking off inside, it's incredibly brittle, It's hard to believe these cables are supposed to be flexible. I took one bad connector apart, and saw I wasn't in far enough. There must be something wrong with the fiber if it breaks that easy just as it's about to enter the last part of it where it should be just the stripped fiber, even when being super careful. I downloaded a diagram of it, but you can't attach pictures in comments.
Great video. Thanks for all your effort. I made sure to like and subscribed :) . One question, where did you buy your kit with cleaver, fault locator, and power meter? Please provide a link to that. Thanks!
Thanks, sure here it is I just added it to the description: amzn.to/40BCCyH YICIZOL 30km Visual Fault Locator,Optic Fiber power Meter with FC,SC Connector, Optic Fiber Cleaver and FC/UPC(Male) to LC/UPC

It’s a good tutorial,
3db loss is a lot What’s a causes?
The type of connector or some other things
Thanks !
It should have been less than 1, it may have been a small gap inside, with practice you'll get .5 dB connections
Liked and subscribed, excellent teacher
Good video man !!
What is the link for the hardware your using?
