      They do not support it to work together as both would need to be Omada SDN compatible, however, you can create a network with the same name and network parameters, and support roaming through your whole house with the AP (amzn.to/411Uhj1) connected to your wired network.

      Start checking the logs on both sides, making sure before that your IPs are reachable from the other end. For example redirect a single port to an internal PC and check if it responds.

      Thanks for your comments, and yes, we were so disappointed with these results, we then tried 4 more adapters getting much better results even with MLO innactive in the 6 GHz band as you mentioned. WAVLINK adapters so far are our favorite. MSI Herald in second place (no way of forcing preferince for MLO, but we understand Unifi firmware has not even made MLO available in all their WiFi7 line that we are currently testing).

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments 14 годин тому

      There may be many reasons why it didn't work for you. Check the logs, and if your connection is stablished, An if your servers are windows, the reason why it may not access the remote clients to your main office will very likely be the firewall ua-cam.com/video/xWu5cIaPLkk/v-deo.html . On the other hand if what you want is your main office to have access to your clients, what you may need is an L2TP/IPSec solution (ua-cam.com/video/l34rB8OBl80/v-deo.html ). Hope it helps and don't give up, so many times we've seen so many small situtations causing big problems.

      You can reach us through our website www.technologymoments.com For the router to be dopted by the SDN it must be omada compatible. Once that is done, there is a step in the adoption process when you're going to be asked if you wish to start from zero, or take the settings from the router.

      It's just about three feet and it has become like the standard for small cameras. Solar powered cams, have cords of about 7 ft. You will always need to have an outlet close by or get a discreete extension cord. Something like this (amzn.to/4hy5gWF ) or get a box (amzn.to/4hwWvME ) that will hide the adapter and mount the camera on top. jUST AN IDEA.

      I understand. first of all yest you can. It is sometimes difficult to find the upgrade process for a specific model and in those situations I would recommend disassembling your laptop and checking if your card is in fact m.2 (NGFF). If it is, the model suggested here (amzn.to/3YhaHk2 ) will work fine on your machine and it supports the 6GHz band, Keep in mind your router must emit such signal in that band.

      @@SIDVENOM beware if your laptop has an AMD CPU. Most of the time, HP uses whitelisting in their bios. My laptop is 2020 model, with Ryzen 7 4700U and I tried the Intel Ax210 card, sadly the wifi does not work, only Bluetooth. There are plenty of people like me on forum. Most ot the time, HP restrict your choice of upgrading the wireless adaptor to 2 to 4 card models per laptop model. Shame on them, planned obsolescence, that's all. I mean if Acer, Asus, Dell can make their AMD laptops work with AX2010 why HP can not. Because they don't want to, simple as that. Stay away from manufacturers that do these sh..ty stuff like Lenovo and HP.

Ideally with line of sight. That second unit can act as a repeater or MESH setup. Then you'll have great wifi at both locations.

    Thanks for the video! I'm hoping to run fiber optic to a detached garage about 250 feet from my house. I have an existing buried conduit which is only 3/4" pvc meaning the interior diameter is only about 1/2 inch. Fortunately the run of pipe is completely straight with no bends. I was thinking a simplex single mode fiber with single LC connector was my best shot of getting the cable through the conduit. Do you agree with that? I could use a long ethernet run as an alternative but I thought the fiber might be more reliable. Right now i'm using ethernet over power lines and it's not very reliable, it drops out for a few seconds several times a day. Also I just installed a TP-Link TL-SG2428 switch in the house with SFP ports hopefully that was the right thing and I would use these sfp modules: "10Gtek a Pair of 1.25G SFP Bidi Transceiver, 1000Base-BIDI SingleMode Simplex LC Fiber Module". Again, really appreciate the video, thank you so much.

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments 27 днів тому

      Both alternatives are great due to the short distance you have ( less than 300 ft). On the other hand Optic fiber will provide you protection against close lightning strikes, which is very important in some areas. With appropriate tools you could guide your preterminated optic fiber cable with LC connectors, due to the straight conduit layout. Just make sure not to pull excessively the fiber. You can even wire a parallel electric cable so you can centralize a UPS and bring power from your main location. have a great day and good luck with your project.

    I don't have an internet switch, rather I plug my desktop straight to my XB7 which is a modem/router combo and can support a data throughput of 2.5 Gb. I'm currently paying for 1.5 Gb, but I can only get about 900 Mbps because my Ethernet controller is capable of max 1 Gb. I have my Ethernet cable already plugged in the 2.5 Gb port on the back of my modem/router. My Q is this: Will I finally get the 1.5 Gb (or close enough) if I install this card in my desktop? *PS: I'm going for a 5 Gb card because my IP will soon offer higher speeds.

    What is more effective price-wise, which 10G sfp+ modules are cheaper in general: 1) Bidi LC 2) Bidi SC 3) dual strand LC? I'm thinking about replacing my old switches and building a core network on 10G fiber, and it's so puzzling, I have no idea what to choose... I sorted out that we'll be talking about multimode, as max distance is about 100m. I think short range links, dual strand LC are most common -> cheapest to get second hand, can that be right?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments Місяць тому

      I would choose to go for most commercially available and ease of use as well as error free (manipulation wise of connectors) Regarding this , with OM3 and OM4 can give you the flexibility you want, in dual fiber configuration which will avoid confussion inherent to bidi modules. As you are not handling great distances that will be enough. Even if you choose to involve SFP28 backbones in your building for 25 gbps for 100 meter runs over OM4

    Hello, I have one question. So if I want to make VPN tunnel I need to have static public IP address on both locations? Example is two sites, Site_A and Site_B, different ISP. Need to access database through VPN, constant read/write.

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments Місяць тому

      At least the address of the "responder" must be a fixed IP. For your use is avery well known use of VPNs. Beware that bandwidth through VPNs is going to be much lower than the one you have with your ISP and that is related to each router. This due to the encryption/decryption process.

    I did the same with a 3 V DC adaptor, and everything worked fine until I factory reset the Doorbell. After the reset, the doorbell would not go into a discover mode(red light blinking mode.). Everytime I hit the factory reset the blue and red light blinks alternatively and they go into no light. Upon powering the red light blinks for 2 seconds and then goes into NO light blinking mode. Do you know if there is a solution? Should I buy lithium batteries to reset it?

      I would do it, through the controller App in your windows PC, and also check the firewall is not blocking coms for the controller. If you're doing it from the App, just double check that the AP is has been reset to defaults.

    In my laptop, I have a WiFi card with an E-A connector. I installed a type E card, but it doesn’t turn on, even though the adapter fits. I wanted to upgrade from WiFi 5 to WiFi 7. However, when I insert the previous card, it works fine. My question is whether this issue is due to incompatibility or something else. I've noticed that most WiFi 7 cards only have E connectors, so I'm not sure if I can upgrade.

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments Місяць тому

      We have even upgraded intel core i3 7th gen based MBs with no problem but we have noticed that compatibility is a great issue with WiFi 7 BE200 cards, sometimes it works absolutely perfect, but we've had issue weven with very recent computers with core 7 processors 14th gen. There is even difference between manufacturers, so my suggestion would be go for a WiFi 6E card ( amzn.to/3VKIdyQ ) that can achieve incredible speeds of 1.4 Gbps when connected to a WiFi7 AP with a higher thatn 1 Gbps interface.

    This would have been much better if you were not importing an existing config file into the controller software. Unfortunately, that appears to be the tricky part, getting the controller to recognize the AP with a clean config.

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments Місяць тому

      You're right. Well actually what we've done before "forgeting" and re adopting an AP is checking it has the latest firmware and reset it to factory settings. It's never failed. Also we like to do it from a controller in a windows PC or virtual machine.
