I've had my maxpeedingrods coilovers on my 8th gen for about 75k mi now and they are rough but still holding strong. Definitely a little rough in urban driving but nice handling on the highway.
Great content man. ive been wtching your vids, even way before. always quality content brodie! also, i hate those gas sound when the shocks/struts compresses.. my truhart coils on my 8th gen does that... any recommendations on which ones didnt have those gas sounds? lol
Thank man! And yea super annoying with the sounds from shocks. Oem doesn’t do it lol And spring and shock combos didn’t do it. I don’t remember the raceland coils doing that either. I never ran a expensive brand so I can’t say. For that market.

Yo what up!! Need your help on this one My daughter just ordered coilovers for her 2010 civic lx so I’m gonna have to swap them out was watching your videos cause you have a lot of info on this. is there a reason you went negative one when you preset the camber? She also got the camber bolts so should I run the oem bolts instead?
hi, i have a honda civic ep1 and i got maxpeedingrods shock absorbers. I have a problem with the height, while I have pushed the spring up quite a bit and the boot from the bottom screwed end up and it is quite high. I also have a problem, the front shock absorbers knock a lot on the top and bottom. is there any solution my friend?
@@BulliKid yeah for the rear, I think I’m putting the height adjusting peace upside down, and I didn’t remove the sway bar or control arm wondering if that’s it as well
@@miclomusic805 yea. Drop the sway bar endlink and maybe even disconnect brake line from the mount so you can depress it all the way without breaking brake line.

Had MaxpeedingRods as my first set of coilovers. Thinking of BC coilovers for my next set.
How did you like the MaXpeedingRods rods?
@@BulliKid they were hella stiff. I didn't have the ones with adjustable dampening.
Noice just bought these with your code and all the shops wanted to charge 500+ for install but now I can do it myself after watching this thanks

So far they are doing good.

binili mo ba sir? planning to buy T6 version
I got the same ones same color and boyy enjoy feeling every bump and crack in the road
Yikes! It’s def stiffer on bumps but the spring rate is much higher then stock.
Great videos great content you really know your stuff! I appreciate your help putting these videos together! 💯🔥
Thank you for the support and comment!
Having problems getting the rear lower, the strut literally won’t go any lower and there is like a three finger gap
How should i go about getting it lower?
Figured it out yet?
This happened with mine on my 2005 Toyota Corolla. It lowered from its stock height but does not lower the rear low at all
For anyone interested STAY AWAY from these cheap coil overs. Go with a set of TruHart street plus.

I went negative one to improve turn in and handling. You can either keep the camber bolts and leave the top hat at zero. Or the opposite.
Another mod you could do is replace the rear drums with disc brakes from an ex or si
Yes that would be beneficial. I heard the front can be replaced with tsx front brakes.
@@BulliKid Yes you can put on tsx rotors and pads on the front. Not too sure about the rear.
It’d probably be worth it to go to a junkyard and get the rear brake assembly’s and then just get an upgraded brake kit for an ex/si.
Yoo bro... was the thruhart and megane spring much smoother.... i'm not a track guy just like the look and need a smooth ride.
Super smooth and soft.
How do you have the front license plate mounted? That looks pretty cool
Just some zip ties.
Zip ties last that long?? Oh shit

Maybe the shocks are blown already?

Ready for the track that’s a automatic
Sadly yes

We get what we get and don’t get upset.
what do u call that when u use the spring and the shock separately as seen in 12:15
Divorced
howd u take the back spring off?
You have to take the shock off and the lower control arm bolt to drop the spring. Also taking off the sway bar endlink helps.
"Shifting" your auto trans like that is bad for it.
Prove it....
Do they have the ability to be stock height or close to stock?
Yes or even higher too for the winter.
I installed it but my rear is still high, any ideas how i can get it more low?
I have the sane issue
Need help lol
Whats the height setting u put it at
Can’t remember now to be honest. But I always play with the settings later and after about 2 weeks once it all settles.
