    i LOVE this pattern! made one for myself, made a second for my mom. then when i was *almost* done w the second one i realized how i could modify the pattern into a semicircle to be more like a shawl instead. i frogged the almost finished blanket and made the semicircle version. zero regrets, its insanely beautiful and i have plans to now make ANOTHER in a semicircle style for myself. even then i know that wont be the last i make this pattern! its too good!

      I would love to know how you modified it. I love to make shawls

      @@TheChemistryTutor so it's worked in rows instead of in the round. Everything is the exactly the same except for the stitch count. You just do half the stitches as written, turn your work, and move on to the next row in your project, round in the written pattern. I did not write my modifications down as it was simple enough for me to do all in my head so my apologies if this wasn't very helpful

    • @TheChemistryTutor
      @TheChemistryTutor 2 роки тому

      @@28pinkdancer thank you that is very helpful!! I just want to make sure I got it right you did the same exact stich work just have the number of stitches?

    • @28pinkdancer
      @28pinkdancer 2 роки тому +2

      @@TheChemistryTutor if i remember correctly, yes! its been a little while since i made one so i cant remember exactly. however, i know for sure that if the "set up" rounds are done correctly then the rest will fall into place. so it's not like youll get halfway through the project and realize you need to frog.

    Love this I have always stuggled when it comes to reading a pattern so when you put it up on the screen as you are working the stitches it is helping me understand a written pattern as well. Thank you for this.

    Not only is this a gorgeous piece, but I could listen to you talk all day. You have such a soothing voice that also has personality. So rare these days. You should consider making a little money by reading for audio books.
    I'm ordering the yarn and starting this ASAP!

    I used the first 11 rounds of yours and adjusted the 12th one to my own pattern resulting in a 11" doily. I made two of these in a multicolor bright yarn for my daughter-in-law as she requested. NOW, I want to get whirled yarn and follow the rest of the steps and make a lap blanket for myself. Thank you. You are a wonderful instructor. These are amazing tutorials.

    This is a beautiful blanket! I looked at it months ago and thought I couldn't possibly make it. I now have a 3 month old granddaughter born on Christmas Day. She is getting this as the blanket to go with her christening dress. You're making me look like a crochet expert!😉 Your instructions are very easy to follow and I love to hear you say "pop." Your accent is charming. Thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial!😃😉😀

    Beautiful pattern. Years ago, I made a color wheel blanket for my daughter, who is an art teacher. It was definitely a challenge getting it to lay flat. I swore I would never do another circle blanket again, but your pattern is making me want to change my mind.

      As long as you use the correct stitch count. It should lay flat. I think she said that you should have 12 flower petals after this tutorial. And the following rows will lay flat.

    Row 7 ~ 27:19
    I lost my spot ... 😆
    Row 8 ~ 30:56 was the round I was looking for, not 7 ughhhh lol
    Row 9 ~ 34:00
    Row 10 ~ 37:09
    Woo hoo!! I actually made it this far!!
    I am absolutely loving how it's turning out. I don't have the same yarn as the whirl as I can't find it where I live, so I am using single skeins of yarn in the same shades of pinks and then I'll change it to a lemon and then the greens and teal blue colour. 💖
    Thank you beautiful Goddess for sharing your wonderful inspirations and tutorial with us all. Much appreciated! 💋💖

The first 6 rows can be used as gorgeous coasters using cotton yarn. I love the lace look to it and if you make it a bit bigger could make lovely placemats as well to match. So many things with this starting pattern. Lovely, thank you

    Dear Robin!
    Words cannot describe my feelings and emotions about your creation, but I have to at least try.😂 I have completed 3 blankets and 2 tablecloths using this pattern and i still don't get tired of it! It is perfect in every way: geometrically, esthetically and energetically!😍 just magical!🧚‍♀️😻 i thought your hexagon puff stitch was brilliant, but this, THIS is just Masterpiece! So, i just wanted to express my deepest gratitude.🙏💖🤗💃🧚‍♀️😻 just magical!

    This blanket is gorgeous! I was looking through their color selection and thought that if you could use this color yarn to make a beautiful lotus look that the dark grape squish yarn worked from the inside out would make a cool amethyst geode look.

    Absolutely gorgeous piece and lovely tutorial! I WISH those swirl yarns were available at any kind of reasonable price here in California ($32 a skein!), but I’m going to try with a Bernat Pop! or a Caron Cake. Absolutely love this, and your voice and manner are so soothing and gentle. Thank you!

    I love this pattern. I think it would make a great shawl just folded in half. I love your terminology ... pop a stitch and row below. Your voice is soothing and whilst I am crocheting a granny square baby blanket I am watching your vids. I can't wait to watch the second part of this Lotus Flower Blanket. When I am finished with a a few of the projects I am working on ... I think I have six at the moment ... I am going to purchase one of those gradient yarn cakes. I have been eyeing them for quite a while but I am a solid yarn kinda gal and gradient seems a bit out of control for me but I shall try at least once. I am thinking also that this pattern would be gorgeous in a finer weight yarn like sock weight. It would take forever to finish but how beautiful your intricate pattern would be.
