I sold my 2005 Montero (Pajero/Shogun) and I bought a 2015 Land Cruiser Prado VX with KDSS and no regrets.. Montero s an amazing machine, very comfortable, reliable and good looking.. I still remember when my Montero took me everywhere.. I felt proud when I have my Montero and right now I feel some nostalgia watching this video..
@@jamesndemera975 i have a pajero 2001 with the 3.5 V6, good and strong engine, fuel economy is between 11-15 mpg in city and the best in highway is 22 mpg, 200k miles and zero issues.
@@jamesndemera975 always, you can watch a video of my pajero in a light off road in my channel, in a couple of months I will upload more videos when my suspension arrive, God bless your next Pajero :) .
Pajeros are great, we had one when I was a kid, a 1985 model. When I was a teenager I remember wanting one so bad, the 1995 model with flared wheel areches looked so nice.. and I remember thinking 40 grand wow I can't ever afford that. Well now I could pick up that same 95 model for a few grand.. but now I have a hilux haha.
You definitely a hardcore mate. I can’t bash my pajero like that especially with that climb that you didn’t make it. Bash plates and rock bars safes u.
Hello, I’m watching your video and am amazed at how pajero drives on off-road vehicles, it’s very fighting, I’m interested in how the integrated frame behaves, because the car does not have a classic frame, with such loads, are there any body gaps, cracks, or bending, I own it only pajero 4, for 10 years, but you are operating the car in harsh conditions and I’m interested to know if the body can withstand such loads
No cracks, no twisting, no body gaps. It still performs off-road as well as it did the first time we took it out in the bush. I have been exceptionally happy with the Pajero!
Hey mate, great vid, I’m thinking about buying one of these but my son said that the 3.2diesel is a grenade, first time I ever heard of it, can you please shed some light on it
@TargetOz - Definitely not a grenade. We still have the one in the video and it's done 380,000km and still going strong. Everyone I know who owns the 3.2 has never had issues. I think you'll be fine getting one.
Good day! Tell me how Pajero 4 on reliability and endurance off-road? I choose between Prado 150 and Pajero 4 3.0 Durability and reliability are important to me.
Where I live unfortunately most tracks involve river crossings (1 ~ 1.2 metres deep). I heard those pajeros dont like water due too many electronics. Is that true? Anybody could please coment on that? Thanks
We've taken our Pajero across many river crossings. As long as you know the depth and know that it is safe to cross, you should have no problems with electronics... BUT, the electronics in the vehicle are all up high, however a river crossing of 1.2m is VERY deep for any vehicle and a snorkel would be necessary as well as other water-proofing. The deepest we've taken ours is 900mm and that was probably too deep for it.
@@OnTheDirt Thanks for your answer. I know about some other mods as snorkel, diffs breather, etc. I dont like river crossings but they are everywhere here in NZ, it is a ittle bit annoying but thats ok... I just heard as those pajeros got that electronic 4x4 selector they crap out if keep getting wet too often.
@@OnTheDirt off course, there aren't river crossings everytime everywhere but I just hate having to turn around everytime the water is a bit higher. 1 or 1.2m in my opinion is kinda the limit anyone would cross anyway. Thanks
Compares very well. In most conditions we go everywhere all the other rigs go. It's only the real full on stuff we leave alone, but so do plenty of other 4WD's. We push it's capabilities all the time, but at the same time we know we have to drive it home, so we are sensible about what to do and what to leave.
I took mine invthe mud yesterday i yried to get it stuck in the thickest mud there was i could not get it stuck tried for over an hour there unstoppable in all conditions great on sand too just a great car
Great vid. Got me excited watching that. can't wait to take mine out next week! I've taken my Pajero on to many adventures. Never lets me down.
Love that Montero!! Oops Pajero! Keep posting Pajero videos please!

Pajero the cameraman of cars. Does it all whiles filming and never takes any credit.
Beautiful thing. Are those 7" or 9" spotlights on the nudge bar? Looks good
Pajero has the best traction out there among 4x4s.

I have Pajero 2006 and it is the best 4x4 Suv ever
It’s not the best but definintley beats all the expensive ones considering that it’s only a few grand
Even with road tyres!
its not such an achievement in those desert dry conditions. here in europe he would be stopped by the first hill with those tyres
My Pajero is at 120k miles and it's still going strong.
SickMetalAddict - I have a 2002 Montero/Pajero w 187k on it. It is a very well made vehicle!
Nice video great footage what year is your pajero?
Is that track down Lidsdale?
Damn music want to hear the engine
Great footage of the Paj. It was great to meet you guys that day and I am looking forward to the rest of the footage :)
Zhivan Wasinski It's coming. It should be ready for viewing by the end of the week.
Wow! Does that one have the lockable rear diff option?
Nope, just traction control!
Pajero will beat prado nd payroll anyday off road
Pajero is the best 4x4 in Australia
That's pretty impressive, I have that shape shogun but never tried anything like that in it, I kinda stick with mud.
and even with those tyres..

Definitely worth it
