Doesn't look even slightly abandoned. If you watch High Peak Autos who is a Car Dealer. He has a huge amount of Views per video and creates interesting and informative content and still interacts in the Comments section. Car Focused is the same and interacts with viewers as well.
@@seamansam Mark it sounds harsh and I hate being that “guy” so I try to be really constructive with any criticism but all things come to an end, and where he is located has a massive baring on content too, but when the gravy was pouring in a few years ago via UA-cam they reap the rewards but you have to be ahead of the curve, like any small business. To put the titles as “making an offer” and it being nothing of the sort and the upload in general was poor, and as a season experienced channel well it only reinforces the views and criticism.
In the uk market you are correct rs2k they didn't come from factory flat front. But in aus and in sourh Africa they came flat front and in 4 door versions of the rs2k. My dafs has a rs2k converted to flat front due to the price of a nose cone was more the double the cost od 2 wings front panel and bonnet lights and quater bumpers 🤷🏽
I'm no expert, but I was fully expecting to see the angled front grill with twin headlights. So it's either a fake/replica or why would you change the most iconic bit of the Mk2 RS. My dad has a rs2000 that we converted to flat front when we done a full restoration on her. Reg (AOO 33OS) The nose cones are just 2 hard to find and when you do they are stupid prices an genuine ones dont exist any more and fiberglass ones are horrible things. we still have all the old bits for the original nose cone, twin head lights and bonnet 🤷🏽
In Australia and South Africa they released a flat front RS2000 mk 2 escort. Only actual Works period Rally cars were released in Europe with a flat front. Custom was actually a trim level for the droop snoop RS2000(top spec). In Australia they even released a four door RS2000 and other 2 litre escorts, like a 2L Ghia, and a 2L panel van.

The Flat Fronts in Australia weren't RS2000s. They were marketed as Rally Packs and just GL spec Escorts with a 2.0lt from a Cortina (not uprated) as the pollution laws made the kent engine gutless. The Australian version of the RS2000 had this watered down engine, none of the alloy parts, mounts, sumps etc. But they were available in 4 doors and even rarer Automatic transmission. All Aussie Escorts, Vans and Ghias got 2.0 from about 1977. I own a late 1980 Factory 2.0 van that I've just imported into the UK.

The works rally cars were the RS1800, never RS2000. The RS1800 was sold with the Cosworth BDA for homologation purposes.

It is an rs2000 on the v5 but there is a few things not right with it like wrong door cards, wrong steering wheel, no nose cone etc but a nice car
