So Triumph basically put the clocks from the budget Tiger Sport 660, there's no cruise control, which even Trident has and cost about half the price of the RS version, and they even made the clocks offset, and yet people still love it? Wow. Just wow.
@@logangodofcandy It's a cheap and ugly looking unit, you don't need to own the bike to see that. The dash is the part of the bike you spend the most time looking at when you're riding it, so cheaping out on it is very noticeable.
@@logangodofcandy Well, we can't all be geniuses like you, the world would be too perfect... All I said were facts, not opinions. The clocks are the same as in the budget Tiger 660, and budget Trident has cruise control as standard as of 2025... Look at the Tiger 900, from 2024 it was upgraded with the clocks from 1200, not downgraded with clocks from cheaper model... And by the way, I ride Triumph Bonneville with a lovely dual clocks, wouldn't change them for anything.
Needs cruise control and self cancelling signals as standard. Triumph charging premium prices yet not supplying these two items is disappointing. I'm not a fan of the single clock, but to be honest I feel you'd just get used to it after a short while.
As the owner of a 1200R Thruxton, I've been saying Triumph needs to make a Speed Twin RS model. I'm a little disappointed that Triumph doesn't offer the cruise control standard, at least on the RS. I also feel that the move away from the dual analog instruments is a mistake for this style bike. Still, there are enough improvements to make me consider an RS, but I love my Competition Green Thruxton too much. 😀
awesome. Exactly what we need. We don’t need a history of triumph. If we are watching it’s because we already kind of know the new specs. I want to know your opinion. Like asking a friend what they think. And you did. Thanks for this. Good job
I was thinking about it, but the ugly dash makes me to change my mind. I really liked the previous generation, maybe aftermarket dash will be available
I get the standard version not having cruise control but why not include it on the RS? Are they becoming KTM now where you need to pay for extras? I've had right wrist surgery and need cruise for longer rides. It's the reason I bought a Scrambler 1200 XE actually...
Thank U for short & honest opinion so far most UA-cam videos the riders hav bn choosing the RS over the standard. I own the 2023ST1200 so various reasons I’m not a fan of the new 25 model 👎👎
I'd go base model too, comfort over looks everyday, that rs is above 99 percent of people's capabilities anyway ,if you really rewire the best brakes on the plannet then you're riding wrong
Very informative video, thanks. To me something's not right with the way the tank is mounted !! The tanks are a lovely shape, but are too low at the front. The line of the bottom of the tank doesn't match the angle of the seat base (my eye goes straight to it). BTW, when's the next Mitchell's classics update ? Would love to see what Dave's been up to !!!
Nice bikes. A question: What has happened to Classic Bike Channel 2? I enjoy the modern retro reviews but also Dave and his classic bike repairs and reviews. What happened to his Royal Enfield project bikes of his and his son. Bring back some of the original type of videos that made your channel different. Don't become a review channel for new retros, and it seems it has become just lately
Hey Paul, yeah, we’ve had to contract things a bit recently and change the tack of the channel. It’s a delicate balancing act between making content and keeping the lights on. I am working on things in the background and we are headed back that way bigger and better but I have some work do do yet
Yeah, exactly. I own a 2020 Speed Twin, and I'm seriously thinking to upgrade to the new model. I don't like the dash, but can live with it. Yet to see it in the flesh though. And disappointed about the lack of cruise control as standard. But neither are deal breakers.
It's NOT a classic bike, it's ride by wire... But, what if you want a classic looking bike but you've had right wrist surgery and want to do longer rides? A mate has a '24 Speed Twin, great bike but I couldn't own one... I actually bought a Scrambler 1200 XE because it has cruise control!

Cruise is extra. All the people that never bought one complaining about the single clock makes them sound like idiots.

Nice vid Alex, enjoyed the fresh take. 👏
Cheers Dan
All the praise all these bikes get, and i've still not heard anyone say: " I'm buying one" or "I need one of these". So, yeah...
Great, chilled video review … thank you 👍🏼

At this point, triumph should hold off the production and bring back the dual clocks moving forward.

Right on Dave, thanks for that
Great reporting my friend, thanks for sharing
Yeah that’s the perfect review cheers
Ha, thanks, first time anyone's said that
Nada mejor que Mallorca para hacer la presentación de las motos , con su clima benigno y sus carreteras de montaña Vsss...
Even though he said he liked it, he needed a weapon at head to force him to take one

Ugly dash!
😂😂😂
Haha, didn’t mean it that way but that’s funny

MashaAllah, Standard version is good 💜🍀
Are they standard exhausts on both

Ah thanks, yeah, Dave and I have paused them for the time being, sorry about that!
Should have cruise control and, please, bring the two clocks back!

Great to hear. Keep up the great work. Could you put an update video of your Yamaha IT495.
Bike is fantastic indeed, but Triumph should leave you the choice of dials just like Bmw does on the R12
I'm not going to buy one!
^ Everyone that wasn't going to buy one anyway 😂😂
Dash looks great ❤
Ha, this is true

It’s a classic bike , you don’t have cruise control on a classic 🤪🤪
Nor TFT clocks either...

@tonybarton3746 That's the equivalent of saying it's a classic bike. You don't have disk breaks on a classic.
