Just had to write and let you know I LOVE these meditation videos! Keep them coming! Esther, you have such a wonderful way of presenting your meditations! I'm watching them almost nightly to relax and depgrogram from the day.
I had read that meditation was supposed to make you feel mentally sharper, and I was feeling a bit groggy and heavy after 10 minutes meditation. However, my lower back muscles aren't enough to keep my spine straight and I was slumping forward with my chin heading towards my chest. I have started meditating sitting in an upright chair and this has helped a lot. Thanks for your reassuring reply. :)
Hi Missladyboy007, yes, in the beginning it might be a bit confusing..maybe this helps: meditating is about noticing whatever comes up in your awareness. So if you feel like you're dozing, that's what you notice. If you wonder if this is meditation, you notice this thought coming up. The one that is noticing all this is always wide awake! So don't worry about doing it right, just try to notice what appears (feelings, thoughts, physical sensations etc).Good luck with your practice! Esther

Hi esther, i live in a shared house and the person in the room below me snores very loudly and it keeps me awake at night from about midnight to 2 am. Ear plugs make me feel very claustraphobic and so i have trouble using them. Are there any meditation techniques that can help to relax in spaces that are being sort of invaded by other sounds that are distracting or disturbing or unpleasant? Thanks for your help.
Usually a 'Pollyanna'-type optimist, I find myself sad and troubled today. Because of yoga and a recovery programme, I sometimes know what to do when that happens. Thanks so much for this simple meditation that has helped me enormously this morning ... Namaste x
