I have been in a real bad depression recently but finding your videos and your enthusiasm has snapped me out of it, I have a new gravel bike coming next Friday and I cannot wait to get out , thank you!
well received new bike, after several attempts got one wheel tubeless and had to get out for a ride in Wentwood Forest Wales, i cannot stop grinning, the first time in ages! things are definitely looking up
I must admit that your pure joy of riding is infectious. I love the way your personality and enthusiasm naturally come through on your videos. Makes them entertaining and a joy to watch. Thank you! Keep on riding!!! 👊🏻
I live in the Dallas TX area and have a good friend, James, who lives in Seaford. Almost every year I head over and James takes me to a different part of England each year for some road riding. About 4 years ago we spent nearly a week in the Peak District (followed by nearly a week in the Yorkshire Moors). This video brings back such good memories and some of it even looks familiar. The Peak District is one of my all time favorites in England, along with Dartmoor National Park! Awesome riding in many parts of England that most tourists don't get to see on a bike! Thanks for your great videos and the sunniest disposition!!
As a kid age 13 (1976) I used to ride with Stretford Wheelers every Sunday . We went to watch Hill Climb champs few times .. I remember on Sunday we rode up Winnats Pass. From then on I respected the skinny climber's in our club ! Only found this channel today and I LOVE it !
I cycled up Winnats Pass on my touring bike with pannier bags (training run for OGGLE), you can always enjoy the views when cycling at a slower pace :-)
Castleton is a great place. The views from the top of Mam Tor are absolutely fantastic. Cycling up Winnats Pass would be my idea of hell... it's bloody steep and goes on forever! I've not cycled round there, but I've done hundreds of walks in the Peak District, including Castleton, and Winnats is awe inspiring to look at, but not to walk up. 😁 Nice video.
Looked an awesome place to ride. I don’t live too far away and never knew you could go through the gates. I really must make an effort to get up there soon. Can you share the route @juliet ?
Poo and the Peak District are inseparable. Good to see my old MTB routes from the early 90s on your video, back when MTBs were less off-road capable than a modern GB. Live in Denmark now and really miss the Peaks.... What a great ride this was - stopped when you felt like it, enjoyed the moment. Zen. How it should be.
What a ride! That looks like the total Zen experience! And you got kinda lost, and thought about food, I mean...that's a ride! That downhill at the end, beautiful!
Watched this about half a dozen times now, I want to give it another thumbs-up! Super area, love the descent of Winnats. Done the broken road a couple of time s in the opposite direction but on MTB's. Great video, might have to watch it again! 👍🙂🚴
Lived in the peaks for 30 odd years and I’m still finding new bits of off road as well as amazing tarmac just a few Km from my house. I just thank my lucky stars every weekend!
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Loved the video. Every time I get on my bike I'm smiling. People who don't ride don't know what they are missing. The poo and mud on your legs are just gravel beauty treatments.😁 Take care and stay safe,Al
This looks awesome! I had planned a road bike ride around Winnats pass in a loop, but now you pointed out that gravel track just to the right of it, I am planning on doing that instead! I've been training so hard on the road I fancied something different. I will check this ride out on your strava profile, thanks!
Watching your videos inspire my partner and I so much. Once Covid has lifted a bit ( we are in California) we want to come ride some gravel in England!!! Thank You for your videos Juliet!!
Julia! Loved watching your bike build and a couple of adventures. I just made my first video on my Marin Headlands 2 filmed next to the Golden Gate Bridge! Got a Strava KOM and had so much fun recording, hope you enjoy!! Look forward to following more of your adventures.
I don’t normally comment on UA-cam videos but this was brilliant. I was born in Derbyshire and miss those roads. Keep on posting videos! Your rides are great to watch!
Laughed out loud at the "because Strava" comment. It's hilarious cause it's true. Sometimes I decide not to upload my ride to Strava before I leave, because I want to enjoy the scenery. It makes for a whole different experience on the bike..
I've just got into gravel biking, hadn't considered the Peaks on it, I'm only 35 miles away (Notts)and would normally go on the XC. The bottom of the broken road is my starting point for my favourite Peaks loop, lord's seat, roych and down Jacob's ladder. A couple of us are heading up there in the next few weeks to tick off the cancelled BHF challenge.
What a brilliant video jules 1 of your best you are so happy in the saddle if you cannot promote someone to go get out on there bike then nobody will 👍 Hope your dinner wasn’t too cold 😝David
Missed out on a good cycle to there as from Manchester then via Stockport but turn off up to Hayfield then Glossop ' now I have seen your clip it looks inviting might skip the donkey though, nice clip Juliet
Looks like a great ride.... there's so much scope for gravel riding here it's crazy. Going to try that old road soon... not going anywhere near Winnats Pass, that road is crazy!
I've not been to England. But if I ever get there, I'll need you to be my guide. That was awesome!!! I would probably miss dinner as well. It was worth it. Thank you for sharing that.
I've been binge watching episodes of Time Team for the past few weeks and I was stoked when they went for a dig in the drained reservoir near Dartmoor! The landscape and history of Devon is so fascinating ⛰
Would love to be there from Arizona on my Diverge, but we have a lunatic President and Governor, but when this is over, here I come. Beautiful riding, Marin is also a lovely area, and a beautiful bike, Juliet is an inspiration.
7:40 “because you know...... Strava!” Cracked me up. Probs because, it’s late and I can’t sleep due to recovering from a knee op. But got these vlogs to keep me going till I’m back on the road. P.s loved the ride and swim one! Def gonna try that out!
Love the Peak District and it is a great place for gravel. Nick Craig did a good route from Hayfield in MBR a while back, still on web and well worth it. Cracking vid, and glad it’s not just me tells sheep no need to move and stops for friendly donkeys 😂
I'm really enjoying the scenery on this, especially so because I've totally bonked myself out over the last couple of weeks, and can't move a muscle. Edit that: that last bit of road in the mountains was spectacular! You're so lucky to be near scenery like that. Very jealous. Thanks for posting!
I wish I had know about all those lovely places you show us, back in a day when I was living in the UK. Now i think I need to add the West Country back to my bucket list... much appreciated (:
As an Australian who lived in London for three years, I miss the beautiful countryside everyday. You would be amazed at how many Poms don't know what they have on their doorstep, be it a few hours away. Keep up the great 'work'.
so thats what the mount tore road looks like after the land slide where the hand gliders glide from. not ridden that since the land slide long long time a go
Thank you UA-cam suggested this and I'm a new subscriber. I didn't get to do any riding while I was in England mostly in the Southeast and some in the Southwest. Not up your way so thank you for the lovely tour. If you feel so inclined have a look at my electric bicycle drawn four wheel farm wagon framed bicycle camper. Works for groceries too. Castleton was rather deserted I guess everybody was already having dinner? LOL I assume there's a castle around there and that you've probably already shown it to us? I feel compelled to go digging through your thumbnails now... Cheers ears
Easily my favorite video that you’ve ever made! I would love to see you do videos like this FOREVER 😼. Ok, that was a bit forceful, but you get what I mean. Best of luck during your recovery!!!
Having recently got gravel bikes my partner and I (we're roadies) are having fun on local routes at the moment, but planning a Peak District gravel ride soon, so I will pinching some of your routes as we're not far away.
I ride a MTB E bike, after a lot of years riding MTB ,Cromoly,Carbon,I love the E bikes ..and places I can get to..love this women she so positive..great attitude...Good on her amazing..Lady..
Twice in one day where I have seen Winnats Pass on UA-cam, your channel and Katie Kookabura's (She was doing an effort up the climb). Absolutely beautiful there, wish my areas had more natural beauty like that.
Random observations, your personality is intoxicating, beautiful landscape, it’s good to know they’re are others just as nuts about cycling. (just for the fun of it!). Keep at it!
Fab vlog Juliet. Epic scenery. I live in Belper just skirting the Peaks I echo your indulgence in the awe inspiring vistas. Could you possibly share the route I am salivating watching your vlog. cheers
I have been in a real bad depression recently but finding your videos and your enthusiasm has snapped me out of it, I have a new gravel bike coming next Friday and I cannot wait to get out , thank you!
So sorry to hear you've been feeling down but so glad I've helped entertain you. Enjoy your new bike!
Depressions are healthy , it helps you to fix something you were doing wrong.
well received new bike, after several attempts got one wheel tubeless and had to get out for a ride in Wentwood Forest Wales, i cannot stop grinning, the first time in ages! things are definitely looking up
Enjoy Stephen and all the best. Keep the smiling and the miles!

So glad that I'm going to school in the UK this year. I'm definitely gonna bring my gravel bike with me.
Don't forget to bring a solid D-lock with you.
Without fail your videos bring a smile to my face and make me want to get out on my bike!!! Keep it up Juliet!
Love that!
Love the video. What are you like? Riding no hands, on gravel, holding a camera. Wicked. 😋😁
I cycled up Winnats Pass on my touring bike with pannier bags (training run for OGGLE), you can always enjoy the views when cycling at a slower pace :-)
Totally true!! I sometimes forget to do this on my road bike as I’m so focused on going fast 🙈
' Wow...the scenes in this one, breathtaking! And not a human in sight! Thank you for taking us on this ride.
So glad I found this channel,I’m getting back into fitness and cycling after years of very poor health, love this lady
Even in a suburb I deal with a ton of traffic here in the US. Thanks for sharing your beautiful country side bike ride.
Glad you enjoyed it

Right on my doorstep, hiked most of those but not that bridleway. Will try and find it on sunday 👍
Have fun!
That section of broken road that you pointed to at 3:52, is a great little drop-off on a mountain bike!
It's much bigger than it looked on the video!
I’m glad that you stopped to admire the donkeys, I would have done the same 😄 winnats pass is now on my must go to list
Looked an awesome place to ride. I don’t live too far away and never knew you could go through the gates. I really must make an effort to get up there soon. Can you share the route @juliet ?

That downhill at the end, beautiful!
Epic and the broken road looked post-apocalyptic ! The skies looked very moody. Glad the rain held off and hope your dinner was still there to enjoy👍🏽
It was!
Watched this about half a dozen times now, I want to give it another thumbs-up! Super area, love the descent of Winnats. Done the broken road a couple of time s in the opposite direction but on MTB's. Great video, might have to watch it again! 👍🙂🚴

A view that refreshes the eye and makes the soul happy

Your video inspired me to get up off my backside and go out for a ride. Just back from a fantastic 50 miler - thank you 😁👍
Watched many of David's videos ... fascinating to see how couples adopt each other's expressions, speech patterns, gestures
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Loved the video. Every time I get on my bike I'm smiling. People who don't ride don't know what they are missing. The poo and mud on your legs are just gravel beauty treatments.😁 Take care and stay safe,Al

Early this year I binge watched nearly all the different series over a number of weeks. 🙂
Would love to be there from Arizona on my Diverge, but we have a lunatic President and Governor, but when this is over, here I come. Beautiful riding, Marin is also a lovely area, and a beautiful bike, Juliet is an inspiration.

Thanks for having us along. Ride On.
I've just discovered your channel ! I was so happy to watch your video, what a good energy ! Greetings from Belgium !
Thanks so much!
While you're up here @julietelliott you should explore East of the Peaks on your gravel bike if you can. Miles of true gravel and flowing bridleways
7:40 “because you know...... Strava!” Cracked me up.
Probs because, it’s late and I can’t sleep due to recovering from a knee op. But got these vlogs to keep me going till I’m back on the road. P.s loved the ride and swim one! Def gonna try that out!

I miss cool urban fixie Juliet. A series of urban escapades please! Maybe show how are fixie riders now compared to 10 years ago.

@@mickinmerton8053 huh... my bad and thank you for the clarification! yet another place I should visit (:
I love the British countryside fresh air and peaceful place 👌
As an Australian who lived in London for three years, I miss the beautiful countryside everyday. You would be amazed at how many Poms don't know what they have on their doorstep, be it a few hours away. Keep up the great 'work'.
LOL
Am I the only Belgian who knows what "Poms" stands for? :D
Can we swap? Bored of riding in the rain 99.6% of the time. Prefer a dusty bike to a muddy one.
lived in london in the 80ies, used to scoot up to the peak district to hike at the weeknd when I could , good times.
so thats what the mount tore road looks like after the land slide where the hand gliders glide from. not ridden that since the land slide long long time a go
Wow the peak district looks great. So is the pedalEd gear. Super nice 👌
Thanks for the video, I've just recently moved near the Peak District and was wondering what type of bike to get. Gravel seams the way to go!
I Love, love loved that video Juliet. You made your ride look such fun and the scenery is absolutely beautiful.
I love your helmet. The matte gray looks great
What a Great place to ride 👍

One of my favorite bike channels.
Thanks, Juliet!
Looks lovely -fuel stops are all part of the ride
2 hours post, there are 24 comments and 1.4K views. Awesome, for better days and great places to ride. Thank you!

you are so joyful!!
Great view of the english countryside mate, kind regards from Colombia 🇨🇴.
Easily my favorite video that you’ve ever made! I would love to see you do videos like this FOREVER 😼. Ok, that was a bit forceful, but you get what I mean. Best of luck during your recovery!!!

So nice of you, thanks
Deep joy, and the occasional music too kind of suits the mood.

thanks! It's on my Strava
Fun fact: Here in Austria we call mudguards ”Kotflügel“ which literally
translates into ”poowings“. 😉
Love that.......... in north america they are Fenders which is really lame ;)
Awesome place ... cheers Chris & Sam
First vid of yours and in love with them already - now subscribed
cause, you know STRAVA hahahaha! Perfect! What a beautiful ride.
