Definitely not, their free spaces were exploited by Barca in the 2nd leg. They didn't have even 30% in the first half. Such ia the low block tactics of this team in the 2nd leg.

he really didnt improved much, he just started getting game time in his natural position, hes always been this good, even under tuchel when he trusted him in the dm role instead of marquinhos

Poch's PSG has been hampered with injuries and a tough schedule and add to that the challenge of being a new manager. We have already seen what he is capable of after that huge victory against Barca and taking PSG to the top of the league so far. He will definitely improve the team even more.
Don't forget the win against Lyon

Why Rafinha is here?
Rafinha is a playmaker or winger or roaming around the flank.
Verratti is an Orchestrator who likes to drop deep in the build up phase and likes to stay deep.
And Paredes is more deeper player and actually he is a deep lying playmaker. Also he is an anchor player not a destroyer.
Three players,three different style of play.
Why Rafinha in comparison with these two?
It's like you're comparing Messi or Neymar with Busquets and Kroos.

PSG have had problems against deep blocks under Poch as they are unable to make space in behind.But to be fair,Poch hadnt even got a pre-season to work with so i think its a pretty good job so far👍👍It will be interesting to see how they deal with Bayern cause this is a team that has Mbappe who relishes space

It’ll be interesting to see what a prolonged period with Neymar does to the team. Veratti filled the role well enough but allowing him to be the dual pivot with Paredes should unlock this team a lot more offensively

Tbh PSG could struggle against big pressing sides, they struggled against Barcelona. In fact even with Verratti and Paredes who are very press resistant, somehow they still manage to be bad at surviving the press. And with Verratti and Paredes out in the first leg against Bayern their attack will have to drop deeper which would free Bayern's defense a lot of burden to deal with their quick attack. Its going to be an interestin fixture considering Lewy is out for 4 weeks :(
We only struggled against Barca because of the past history w them , they were like having moments of PTSD, other than that I’ve never seen psg have problems w pressing teams , we didn’t even have a problem against Liverpool

Offense is not the issue at PSG. Poch needs to work on defense. PSG simply stink. Forwards the likes of Mbappe, Di Maria, Draxler or Sarabia have no défense basic concepts nor interest in defending. Ney and Icardi do not help either. The backs are even worst except Bernat but injured. Barca and Bayern had a field day playing wide on the wings. Poch has to survive this season until he can start bringing his players with defense IQ and mindset. Thank God we have Navas a super underrated keeper and Marqui.

Henry in Barca is not similar to PSG's Mbappe and Neymar lol. They are too big (financially) and talentwise to be benched.
I think PSG need a target man and another versatile midfielder for next season
Definitely, a player like Raul J or Giroud or even Benzema is really needed and for midfield someone like Pogba or Aouar is needed . Aswell as a starting RB like a Emerson or Pereira

@@SK.305 yeah Rafinha has been excellent for us when he does play , I just think Poch really likes Paredes and so you kinda need someone physical and good at covering for Paredes lack of defending and that’s why he typically pairs w Gueye. Ideally he would be paired w Verratti but w Neymar being injured , he’s had to fill in that role

Not really, yes he is a class manager, and has unlocked Chelsea's full potential but he wasn't able to do it with PSG. Poch managed to take Psg into the quarters without needing Neymar, Di Maria, and Bernat, compared to Tuchel who was only missing Neymar couldn't take them past united's b team. Poch has made Paredes and Draxler into elegant midfielders both of them flopped under Tuchel. And under Poch Psg have a higher points per game average. I still like Tuchel however but at PSG he was too reliant on Neymar, Psg would be in Europa league if Neymar didn't come back.
