I really think that recommendation number 5 is the clearest explanation of what Comprehensible Input is, why it works, and how to put it into practice. Well done, and thanks for this channel! It's really helping me a lot! I hope it can be followed by a large community of English language learners!

As always, you are correct and to the point. My curiosity stems from the fact that, even today, the official education system continues to use unproductive methods from the past. It seems that no one has heard of your analysis. The results, after years and years of study, are well known: teenagers pass exams but can barely communicate with others.

Well said. Thank you. I think that it's just easy to measure progress if one is testing for grammar and vocab. The economics demand that the schools show results and fluency is hard for them to measure and demonstrate. Follow the money. Societies need accountability, but with language learning there is this unintended consequence, Failure. This video is but a restatement of things we learned from Stephen Krashen, Marvin Brown, Pablo Román, Juan Fernandez and others.

@@comprehendeng ''but with language learning there is this unintended consequence, Failure.'' I would say not only in learning a foreign language.

Thank you. Of course, these concepts are not mine. These are things which I learned from Stephen Krashen, Marvin Brown, Pablo Román, and Juan Fernandez. These five principles were proven to me by my journey learn Spanish using comprehensible input. Thank you for writing. Lots more to come.

@@comprehendengAnd you combined all their thoughts into a short ten-minute story that is understandable for a beginner who has been studying English for 6 months.

Would the correct word be "Ensure"? Insure means to protect something against a possible contingency. Ensure means to make certain.

Wow, yes I will. Good catch. Objectively, I know the difference. The odd thing is in English we pronounce both words nearly the same or simply the same, so this error is not uncommon. Thank you!
