Ean....this has got to be your best video so far. I think it's the combination of your down to earth and friendly approach combined with no nonsense presentation. At any rate thanks for it.
@@alexnightmares1762 of course u can mate.I guess we all do come back here from time to time, just to admire Eans pure Genius. This video is so amazing, and pushed me deeper into the rabbithole of digital DJ-ing. Some of my DJ-friends cant understand why i still stuck to Traktor. But a CDJ-Setup seemed boring to me back in the days, and ist still does. Traktor > the poor rest
after years,i still do come back to this awesome video, especialy to this awesome mix at the end. this is so inspiring. Ean, please do more of this videos and share your creativity!
This Video inspired me so much back in the days when i started to mix, and motivated me to dig much deeper in the possibilities of digital djing. I tried a CDJ setup, but it kind of bores me, so in the end i stuck with my beloved traktor. Thanks for that Ean!
That's why I love the X1. Flip on HID or slot in some timecode CDs, set your laptop to the side, put the X1 beneath the mixer, and BAM. Traktor control
Thanks A LOT for these kind of videos.. Really helpful for amateurs like myself to help open up for new ways of thinking while playing with my Traktor. Keep 'em coming!
While watching this, I can't help but feel like I'm staring at an alternate-universe version of Rick from The Walking Dead who became a DJ instead of a law enforcement officer.
Super super super 👍 ! Very interesting and instructive lesson ! I’ll see all you videos … I’m a completely beginner and I progress very fast with yours advices thanks a lot ! Top 😉
This is the part of Digital Djing that naysayers don't get ...it's my life .. can seriously have fun with That beat meatier - I studied drum & percussion for 6 years in high school and love creating polyrhythms on the fly (the hidden DUB master in me I guess) & everything gets the 'treatment' from me ... Traktor made me the DJ I always wanted to be - I use a Hercules DJ steel control controller & a NI DJ2 interface .. The secret is too know hen less is more ! Happy mixing kids
It's possible to use just about any midi device as a controller and there are Traktor mappings available for many popular devices -- even if it's exclusive to Serato, etc...
i like using iceverb wormhole and gater combied with a delay n reverb to get those real side ways build ups never thought to use the fast stretch ... GREAT VID GUYS!
If you just use the fast stretch then turn it all the way up and disable it quickly on a vocal you get this trippy nice after effect, reminded me of the matador or richie hawtin sound
I already kinda figured these out from listening to a lot of stuff, but thanks so much for explaining and showing it so well. Thanks! Your gear is dope!
Awesome techniques!!! At min 13:56, what effects did you used on that "sweet" vocal sound? Only beatmasher and delay? I tried to reproduce the sound and I feel like something is missing :)
Great, GREAT tutorials easy to grasp, get to the point, down to earth lessons. Thank you. I did however have problems staying 100% focused. You are just so crazy handsome! Sorry but this minor "Flaw" has to be addressed! I can't concentrate!
I kinda didn't know about these techniques I just developed em cause I'ma breakcore bastard but...Nice and informative. Makes me wanna give NI more money DAMMIT! Thanks IAN!
I'm curious but does DJ TechTools have a youtube/soundcloud account where you guys just mix because, and I speak for many, we all want to hear all of your guys mixes and talents!!
Still best tutor.... Thanks Ean for all these years 🙏🙏
Ean...
Year after year...
I still get inspired from this techniques.
CDJ Mafia will never understand.

why not both? you can use an x1 and 2 cdjs
That's why I love the X1. Flip on HID or slot in some timecode CDs, set your laptop to the side, put the X1 beneath the mixer, and BAM. Traktor control
@@tomassanguinetti6414cuz cdjs limits ur creativity . At least in contrast to traktor…
Obvzly
Many thanks for using Luca M & JUST2 - Sweet Love on your tutorial! Cheers and hugs

the track is AWESOME!!! Raw Techno!!! 1:26
While watching this, I can't help but feel like I'm staring at an alternate-universe version of Rick from The Walking Dead who became a DJ instead of a law enforcement officer.
That techno fill + filter kill combination is pretty dope. You can get really crazy with some good samples and a sick tech house track. :)
Thanks!

is it possible to control the traktor software with another controller?

This is the real part of digital DJing.. And is really the fun part. Most just think DDJ is about Sync button and they are sooo wrong.
X1 getting the job done.
i like using iceverb wormhole and gater combied with a delay n reverb to get those real side ways build ups never thought to use the fast stretch ... GREAT VID GUYS!
Iceverb with delay is amazing. I also like the kill of Iceverb (Single FX unit).
It's cool to see that Djs also use stompbox effects such as boss delays, as a guitar player I also love that specifical stompbox for my sound.
love these techniques, use them sparingly but when done. they go off!!!!
Love that you've started to make these tips/tutorials again. Thank you so much!
I frickin love you , I was trying to figure out a way to connect a DD7 to my Kontroler ,, you just made my day
That off kilter delay is insane
gotta love the X1 IAN you will love the X1 MK2. you won't leave the studio unless for a gig! guarantee!!
That end game mix though
Just getting into traktor. Great video!
If you just use the fast stretch then turn it all the way up and disable it quickly on a vocal you get this trippy nice after effect, reminded me of the matador or richie hawtin sound
cool that you demonstrate how to use all effect technics in a short mix :)
at the end
Great tips Ean, thanks!!
Forget all about those, and concetrate in distortion this man playS all the sounds deep in red awfoul Tony brush aka dancephoria from Greece

the fast stretch and ramp delay effects you did were my personal favorites. wish i could do this with ableton!
Awesome techniques!!! At min 13:56, what effects did you used on that "sweet" vocal sound? Only beatmasher and delay? I tried to reproduce the sound and I feel like something is missing :)

Sick session , preatty ellegant.
can you use it with another mixer other than pioneer ? love the tutorial ..
ramp delay is excellent on TSP2. Will experiment with fast stretch although not totally convinced it adds much to an already dope effect.
