Doing early morning photography of our local otters in Ireland, I definitively relate to the Kodiak weather experience :D There is always tomorrow :)

Outstanding observations about climate and food as the determinants of bear and bird activity! I like the low camera angle on the plovers. Love the eagle in the lupine! Love the puffins and the fin whales! The wet eagle face on portrait was awesome!

Sounds like the SE. When I first showed up at a USFS bunkhouse in Cordova a sign on the door said 'Enjoy the two weeks of summer, the rest is rain.'

Yes, the heat here in Oklahoma is rough. In the OKC area the temps have been in the low 100's. I also look forward to traveling to CO for a week or two during the summer and getting a break from the heat. I'm a new subscriber, and just purchased an R8 to upgrade from the old T3! I appreciate the reviews of R8 VS R7. I look forward to watching more of this series. Thank you

I enjoy the channel and the reminder of the kind of determination and patience it takes to produce consistently great images. Makes me realize I'm not alone when I've had a good walk but only managed to add photos to my "Bird Bums of North America" collection that I seem to be working on:)

Yes Don and I have joked about making a "Best Butts of Alaska" and it's just but shot of all the birds and animals.

How about this title, "The Birder's Guide to the South End of North Bound Birds of North America." Kind of has a ring to it:)

Im loving your videos, I'm always waiting for your next one to pop up, I'm really new to photography but loving when i go out to take some shots, I'm hoping to go to Alaska next year, possibly June, where in Alaska is a must go place? I'm from England and this would probably be once in a lifetime opportunity so wouldn't want to miss that special place if possible?

For sure make a trip to Katmai, but anywhere in Alaska is amazing.
