Garden Spiders Attacking Prey Compilation #2

- The same applies to this video as the other one I posted of the Argiope Aurantias. Pay attention to the different techniques the spiders use for each prey item. Especially the ants! Thanks for watching, share with your friends! This video was minimally edited... Just cropped all of the focused parts and compiled them.
Next compilation will be of the Giant Nephilla spiders (Golden Silk Spiders/ Nephila Clavipes)
I love that there's no talking or music. Just spiders and nature 👍
Totally agree there's no need for an uncopy righted song playing on loop
Thank you! I agree; eventually there will be a time where people are more thankful to not have music on the background of videos like these. Thank you both for watching!!
@@IloveSPIDERZ the flaping wings sound like a long fart.
Bro and I hate how I killed 3 of those spiders not seeing it's power
@@IloveSPIDERZ I totally agree!
I love how they instinctively know which prey they can bite first and which they have to web up first
The speed and amount of web these girls produce is incredible. And the meticulous disassembling of the web is fascinating! Nice video!
Holy shit, it was so cool how with that grasshopper the spider realized it was getting nowhere and disconnected part of its web to use as netting. Really really masterful, natural weavers.
It's amazing how they have adapted to take on different prey items!
What's the difference?
Scorpion next please lol 😆

That was really cool! Nice catch
I find it satisfying how they wrap their pray.
Yeah. It'd be interesting to watch in slow motion.
So many damm silks coming out
That’s “prey.”
Me Too.just like Christmas time!
I’m sure the prey doesn’t
Always amazes me how much silk can be produced so quickly by these spiders. I used to feed mine too in the garden to keep them around.
Years ago, I was out fishing with my father and we watched a grasshopper get wrapped up so freaking fast. That spider was quick AF.
I so deeply enjoyed just watching and watching this. No music, no talking, just these amazing ladies and their unbelievable coordination and stitching capabilities. I'm in Georgia, and it's now been two years since I've seen anything other than the Joro spider.
Smart! Bites its prey and then waits for the venom to take effect lol It's like heating up your food in the oven waiting for it to cook 😂
Well the venom does that too. Spider mandibles aren’t meant for chewing, so their venom also acts as also turns their insides into a smoothie that it sucks up
When I was a kid these spiders as well as the big grasshoppers were living by the hundreds behind my house in a field of goldenrod. My sister and I would feed them the grasshoppers and watch in amazement as I am now.
Spiders are actually helpful to humans because they eat harmful and annoying insects. I just love how they hang their Motionless, as soon as an insect flies near they move like lightning to catch it.
If that thing worked at Taco Bell, it would get a big ass tip
I like how some prey try to escape when they’re just gonna get themselves into more trouble
will never get old... them beautiful orb weavers never cease to amaze me
That's some Nat Geo quality footage right there!
lol Thank you!
madamoisele1 Fuck that spider
@Denis Daily, Fuck You too Bastard and you can go to hell for being disrespectful to nature, being prejudiced, being annoying and go get a life to upload better videos than what you have so you can make more subscribers and get better views asshole. How dare to talk to madamoisele1 like that you little dick.

when men try to wrap christmas gifts
Looks exactly like the 1 I caught in Mississippi as a 10 year old boy in the summer of 1971!!! Beautiful Spider 🕷️!!!
@Derrick Logan, yes they are beautiful spiders. Argiope spiders are the most beautiful and strong orb weaver spiders that are fast enough to attack and defend their own web and territory.
When you put that grasshopper in the web that spider was there in no time. Damn that's fast
Im wondering if these insects have a sense of fear or danger and if they realize whats happening to them,,,or if its just blind instinct when they struggle
in the web.
That's a wrap folkes
Nice! Haha
Amazing video! I can't believe it can handle a grass hoppers powerful legs!
The level of intelligence this amazing creature has its awe inspiring!
Spiders are the only creatures rolling joints better than myself
Your videos are of such high quality! Nice job!
Thanks man! I try! I just recently started editing them so they would always be in focus. I haven't really done that in the past and it shows. haha
IloveSPIDERZ haha, i have had the same issue.
Spider sez to grasshopper: Imma about to wrap yo ass up for dinner.
It's crazy how fast a spider can trap it's prey then finish it
I grew up in a field of these things, so I know a thing or two...
1. These spiders are amazing creatures ...
2. No way you are in the right place at the right time for all of these "encounters", and as a child who used to catch bugs to feed my pet spiders, I know what it looks like when spiders are "fed" -_*.
Awesome videos ... :)!
6:40 well they don’t really keep it a secret😅
He showed us what he was doing. Suggesting you have some insight into what is going on here is just silly.
@@MMAFightMagazine Actually, it turns out that I was right so my insight was correct...

He like is calm..
*_Until the spider comes._*
I actually have one of these in captivity as a pet,she is currently eating a cicada.
This spider is like the English Official Executioner from the Forties. He’d walk into the room. Hood. Noose. Drop. Short and sweet, no waisted time.
This spiders are speed running Like a dream
Love how they weave different kinds of webbing it’s wild
Orb weavers have specialized spinnerets for wrapping prey consisting of plates that are studded with many single jets that produce swathing silk you see here. Seperate spinnerets produce the sticky silk threads with which the web spiral is made.
That beetle trying to escape
The pider: For the love of God please shut up!!
If you overfeed them, they'll get humongous, and invade your home, and consume YOU and family! - PAV
Bug: what did I do
Spider:stop resisting your under arrest for bothering people
Garden spiders are so impressive from their looks to webbing talents to wed designs. So thankful God didn't make them bigger HA
Spider 🕷️ enjoyed the snack, looking forward to the Main Courses! And there is is! Scrumptious!!!
Watched in 0.25 time and still couldn't process this. Wicked fast!
The prey can’t even get the “Oh” out in “Oh, crap!” before it’s doomed.
Sweet video of the Giant Orb Weaver doing its thing just being a Spider 🕷️ in a 🕸️ Web! It was beautiful when she was fighting with the Butterfly! The colors of both were a perfect blend in a spinning vortex of a black, yellow and white blur where if it weren't for the wings, you couldn't tell them apart as they were spinning so fast! Beautiful Destruction between life and death!!
Amazing also I know it sounds silly but just imagine if they could talk what would they be saying as they near each prey item lol I'm coming to get ya what's that you want a nice sleeping bag I can give you a nice full body sleeping bag and a seditive that will help you sleep forever hahaha
I wish we could communicate to them so we would be using less pesticides!
Amazing stuff!
These are the most satisfying web spider to watch hunt prey
Such fascinating little architects, aren't they...I watched them all summer long as a boy, completely mesmerized. I felt terrible for the gorgeous butterfly though, there seem to be fewer and fewer every summer and we need them desperately 😢
Not where I live, the woods by my house are full of them, mostly painted ladies.
6:42 the buzzing sound means screaming
Many butterflies such the monarch do not make a good meal as they are caustic. It must not be the case with that butterfly,or this spider doesn’t care!
Dropped in for a bite to eat? Wasn't aware that it was THE DINNER!!!
Lol the first fly the spider just took it into her mouth.
We know that's spider healthy 😂
A whole channel on spiders? 😃 Brilliant! Subscribed!!
Wow turned that butterfly into a Taco
I loved how the Butterfly was three times the size of the lovely spider but was still a victim, cocooned and then Dinner. I'm sure she said MMM! Delicious.
That spiders doing pretty good for itself
He's going to eat well tonight.
The one bug had gas farting on the spider 🕷face
AMAZING footage love Spiders and Tarantulas I actually have a large selection of Tarantulas myself love the hobby AMAZING watching Inverts
I love watching these but like imagine if spiders where big enough to catch humans and had strong enough venoms and digestive fluids to kill us like they do these
They're such sophisticated hunters
Love this. Thank you!
Amazing video !!
See, no government stimulus so the spider works for what it needs.
I'm a little curious is the spider an orb weaver
@Samantha Patrick, Yes these spiders are an species of orb weavers.
Not all spiders can make perfect webs I guess lol
Truth be told, I’m watching this, and other videos like it, to help ease my fear of these bigger spiders. The fact that I’m bigger than they are has never brought me comfort, as they always look so damned intimidating and creepy. At the moment, however, fear has been replaced with amazement; as this is nature simply doing what it does.
I like how they pull the web to make the prey move
+Luke Hammer Me also! Nice job picking up on that!
I felt bad for the butterfly ☹️ but it was pretty cool how the spider balled em up and wrapped em up like a newborn 😬
Also, do you live near a military base? Sounds like a fighter jet at 16:35 and 17:20. I live near Cherry Point so it’s almost everyday lol
Great Video!
Replying to T Raw. When I watched the video I thought how will the Lovely Spider deal with something bigger than itself.A good firm bite to paralyze its prey and then size doesn't matter. The beauty of the Spider is equally beautiful as the Butterfly because the Spider can use silk cocoons to keep prey until Dinner. The web it spins is lovely and the wrapping of it's prey is satisfying. I'm sure the Spider was saying MMM! Delicious!
💰
I was kinda thinking first that it was kinda sad but second that it seemed almost like a waste of energy to wrap up something that big when the butterfly's actual body seems the same size or smaller than a cricket or some of the other bugs seen in this video. Because they don't get anything from the wings right? Or do they? I don't really know I'm just going off of what I've heard that they wait for their insides to liquefy and then eat that so I was thinking they only really get what's inside like the thorax(I think it's called)/ basically body, and not the head or legs or wings?
Orb weavers are the coolest spiders!! See that zig zag pattern going through the middle of the web? That’s so birds can see the web and don’t fly into it!!
I didnt know that
But doesn’t that defeat the purpose of catching a big prey for the spider?
Or don’t these spiders want birds trapped in their web:?
@@Nirrini birds are too big for them
The Zigzag silk is called a stabilimentum. Their actual function is not conclusively known.
How does one save chard and kale from destruction and make friends with a garden spider? Snatch Japanese beetles and serve the them as breakfast.
I once saw one of these, and there was this big ass fly that flew right through the web making a hole it, the spider was flabbergasted
Superb video.
13:43 I really make sure the spider didn't fall down to my legs
7:01 the spider is literally saying shut I made me laugh my whole body out
Wow! These spiders should be employed in warehouses to wrap up pallets😄😄
Pray:
Mize, rats, young cats and young dogs, and of course birds to, and simply everything that FUCKING MOVES!
These are technically Nephila-lites. Not quite as big, but some can get pretty large.
Nope. Argiopes
@@20PINKluvr Clearly, my point went over your head.
7:15 lol the spider doesn't like it when he is zooming like that! i can imagine the web must be vibrating like hell! i like your video's. i have killed alot of insects by throwing them in all kinds of spider webs! i love spiders so much. There is something special about there webs...
Then you must really love the different kinds social spiders, I have been able to find 3 different species of them here on youtube.
Insect: "I believe I can flyyyy"
Spider: "shut up already!" *chomp*
As a kid i and my friend use to catch insects and throw them to garden spiders net. So after while they become very big. We catch them and put in jars so we can watch some kind of spiders gladiator fights 😂
Me and my mate done the same thing but used box instead. 😆
@@davidm3maniac201 Kids nowdays dont know how to play. We had a real stuff 🤣
I very much appreciate the absence of music!
Yeah wrap him up! This spider needs to be a subway worker..
She slowly moved so gradually and gracefully towards the faint vibrations of the web.
So colorful and beautiful, the coming of Death!
Blinded by the design of an inner love desire flowing through your head....
Her passionate kiss, so painful, steals away your last subtle breath.

We had these in my yard when I was a kid brings back memories
Mình cũng có quay mấy con nhện như này!
Freakin scotch tape coming out of abdomen! Geez! 😂
It always fascinated me when they do this haha
That spider works super fast.
At 4:44 there seemed to be a mantis because of those two spikey arms. These spiders need to be extremely cautious when handling them because the arms can snap shut and tear the spider to shreds, it would then be a tie because the spider is chopped up and the mantis would die of thirst.
I want to be a *Rockstar* and leave a *Sucker Punch* in *Santa Monica.*
Amazing. Thank you!
Wow does that spider sling silk!
OMG DIO OUT OF THIS SPIDER
These crickets be talkin sh*t the whole time.
This spider eating good
Definitely!!
Man, the way these things throw ropes... 🥵🥵🥵
Amazing
It's game over for the prey.
A master trap-hunter in insects' world
@Turning Null, Yes indeed
Orb Weavers, nature's snack wrappers.
Are some prey for spiders small enough that they don’t have to web them up and they can just eat them right then and now? Like the little fly bug at the start?
Yea of course, though it depends where the spiders are
1:16 holy shiz 😂
In fact i dont think spiders eat ants because the only time i've seen the spiders wrap them up and kill it is when they have babies because an ant can definitely kill a baby spider.
They do eat ants.
While that is true, there is a catch. Look, "Yes, spiders do eat ants. Ants are a common prey item for many spider species, especially those that build webs to capture their food. Some spiders, such as the ant-mimicking spider, even mimic the appearance and behavior of ants to avoid detection by their prey. However, not all spider species eat ants, as the diet of spiders can vary widely depending on the species and their environment."
That is just so scary 😨how it's there than it's covered by web in seconds 😳
Cool video but the first catch was not really a catch rather nature's equivalent of me reaching for the next plate at a running sushi restaurant
Fascinating creature
I thought so too!
