Got it, going to grind some foxus under her heels.
Tbh, I’ve taken down a few back lines with Mass with my fox back line (Nagato, Akagi, Kaga). With the reduced air wave timer and Nagato’s barrage, very few things can beat them.
What if we use Le Triomphant + Le Mars + Saint Louis (PR). Louis is FFNF right, so she will get boosted by Le Triomphant

@@l2ahXeph0n she is boosted by le mars, and le mars needs full french vg. so, she kinda boosts, by enabling le mars buff. not sure if i will use her in front slot over saint louis tho.

Massachusetts' moving target problem can now be rectified by pairing her with Formidable. If playing PvE on manual control you should be able to hit the first salvo with manual aiming and then immeidately launch Formidable's airstrike to lock the target in place for the second salvo. This can also work in PvP though you really need to max out Formidable's RoF to ensure she can get the airstrike off before Massachusetts fires her first salvo (and pray she doesn't decide to target that Lucky E-ed Enterprise...)
Massachusetts does have some glaring weaknesses but also some amazing potential and its REALLY satisfying to see that potential fulfilled.
And of course time to spend 200 gems for more slot... Sigh...
I'm with you there. Trying to keep the gem count high enough to buy a ring or skin if I really like them. But need to spend some for that extra slot space. That and get even more picky on who I'm keeping around in the dock.
Dock slots are far more important than special titty pngs.

@@MyVanir All depends on personal value. You don't need every ship in this game. A dozen ships you aren't even going to use or pay attention to isn't worth that much. A skin you like on a character you will use a lot may be more valuable than the dock space.
Also, if you don’t want to use jean Bart’s gun, try buffing her with hyuuga, hyuuga has the rare skill called artillery command that buffs other ships in the back line firepower, it also buffs herself as well, unless you have a lot of good luck, you can try to use jean without hyuu, it’s your choice

Should be a nice event to farm. The rewards look great and the event ships look excellent. Will definitely make the effort to grind out the weapons and especially Le Triomphant.

Hey 3c, I'd like to respectfully disagree with your comment that emile bertin has low stats compared to other CLs. I compared her retro stats to 3 CLs (Monty, Belfast, Jintsuu and here is what found out: Her FP (170) is the highest among the three at an efficiency of 145%. Her AA is identical to monty with 115% efficiency and despite her torp being the lowest, its still relatively ok for a CL. Her HP is also quite high (500 below belfast and 500 above jintsuu).
These are all lvl 100 comparisons based on the wiki, but even then, is there a reason you say she's not that good? I can see using her in W12 even if I run her with destroyers (yuki and laffey with a strong AA backline(akashi, uni, and enty)),
her stats are quite good imo, with efficiency as well to match it, and with the retro skill she becomes pretty decent. So I'm left with the question why you think she's below average compared to other cruisers. I'd think it was because she doesnt have a standing out trait? (jintsuu has torp buff, belfast has the smokescreen, and monty has the AA stat up)
P.S. I feel so strongly about this because HER SKIN IS HOT AND I WANT A GOOD REASON TO BUY IT AND ACTUALLY USE IT IN BATTLE
low HP is what kills her. In general you want to have the CL tanking damage for DD, Emile's effective HP is just 2 steps down from top tier light cruisers.

Yup. The outfit probably doesn't help, but yeah, proportions on her are indeed weird.

Actually the supper heavy shells are quite good, they do a lot of damage to medium and heavily armoured ships and more than twice the damage than regular AP would do to lightly armoured ships.
The point is that you would not be using AP most of the time anyway, HE is the king of the hill for BBs for a reason.
But you can't call something "really BAD" when there is something worse already.

@@Eclin No, not really. AP shells aren't as inaccurate as SHS is due to falling in one place instead.
Does Surcouf get her historical heavy gun armament? If not, I'd have preferred Casiabanca for the Iris submarine pick, as she had a more interesting historical record.
she does, Surcouf uses a special gun unlike any other submarine.

Wait, you mentioned that Type 3 Shell does not work with Massachussetts? How so? Does the skill not override the Type 3 shells into SHS?

Is there a particular reason the 2 gears rewards are given to us in the form of equipment blueprint instead of directly the gear itself like it was for older events?
Can we make something from the blueprints alone, or did they just want to make us create the gear itself from the blueprints of it?
Is there a way to... "multiply" gear parts?

so using Twin 410mm (Type 3 Shell) on Massachusetts means the gun will become more effective? Haha I hate the Sanshikidan ammo and find it useless on any BB so I guess the second skill does redeem itself that way. :D
Got both the guns in exchange and Le Mars was kind enough to drop randomly on A2 which was nice.
Shame that talents are still so variable, some really amazing artwork on units that'll never really get used.

In your Jean Bart clip, is that w8 or w12? is the level advantage being applied to reach that 7k damage? cause I only do w11-12 so I naturally dont get a 20% buff due to level gap ) most ships are arround 110-115 and w12 is mostly 110+

Hello, I was wondering if by any chance you have recommendations on the best or the most optimal layout for gearing up Chaser, and or that one ship that can equip the helicopter. Perhaps that can be your future content if you need future ones.
knowing the fact that Jean's gun is Event-only makes me sad, since I started playing AL exactly a few days before the event ended and yes, I got JB but no quad 380mm.. Rly wanted that gold gun so bad.. 😥

How good are the 138.6 mm guns on battleships?
From my personal experience, the shot spread/dispersion is the same as single 127 mm gun (Fletcher historical gun), so not good as you'll miss the suicide boats charging in a lot. But it doesn't look like so only due to it fired more shells per reload.
Not only that, HE shells in this game has lower velocity than Normal or AP, thus making it harder to intercept suicide boats. Twin 127 mm get away with it because its low dispersion thus better accuracy, not so much for 138.6 and single 127 though.

Lutfi OktaPio it’s good if you are grinding pr ships, as the second floor although doesn’t give exp, it does restore mood points which in turn improve affection rate and exp gain which does count towards pr grind (max mood point is 150 and it restore 50/ h which allows for longer grinds without affection dipping.

so far no, only way is to slowly farm the distress signals.
once chapter 13 opens you can farm it there but it is much more costly than distress signals and drop rate is also worse.
Then how the hell do they expect everyone who doesn’t play this game 24/7 to even use subs effectively?
They should at least let people buy sub torpedos in the core data shop

Uh, you kinda miss the point of Massy's skills. She's mainly built for PVP, not PVE.
too bad she has no place for PvP at all. South Dakota+Washi is the golden combo you never break if you want to run USS backline. So the last place is either Enty or Amagi, and Massa loses to both of them. Not to mention Georgia from PR2 is another strong pick.

As of now she’s gd for bossing compared to other bb she’s up there but will get power creeped in the future when a certain other bb retrofit hits global

Jean Bart is sort of unique with her preloaded guns, so she will never be truely replaced. She will always be top tier at doing EX stages and killing siren elites.
eisiah obviar said KGV is better than JB since she can pull off the preload shtick almost as well with the 356, she has 3x salvos and also offers fleetwide buffs.

Saint Louis is an endgame ship that needs a ton of work to become viable. Emile needs levels, gear and retrofit BPs.
If you have Saint Louis up and running at a reasonable development level, you likely played the game long enough to know the stuff in this video anyway.

I don't think there is a map like sp black that gives us alot of currency. But instead we do have the daily 3x bonus for each normal map which makes up for it :)

She still has the issue of being bad against light armored targets (both because of the low modifier and because they are liable to get out of the way of her low aoe shelling). But there is no real reason not to use the ships you like imo. I cleared world 10 and 11 from 0 to 3* and Safe with Nevada as my mob fleet flagship, so use whatever you want.
What about 10-4 mob battleships?
Those thing reck my vanguard all the time so I just avoid fighting them, but with Massachusetts medium/heavy armor piercing, shouldn't she be effective killing those battleships?
Any other BB can do that and do proper damage to the filler destroyers.

Say, how would you rate the sub torps you can get from A3/C3? I am tempted to go ham until part 2 unlock and farm C3 to gear subs without inflicting SOS stages on myself.
The French torpedo is pretty bad, but it's better than any blue ones so you can quickly gear up your subs with them.
Well, it shares a drop table with the gold Bofors, so might as well try and grab at least one.

I kinda hope we get a third backline healer (in the vein of Shoho and Unicorn, though not necessarily a CVL) from baguettes.

@@MyVanir I was mostly referencing the ages old meme of dividing by zero, not particularly getting into the actual maths.
As for french backline healer, it seems unlikely. Unless they make the outdated ships like Paris and Courbet wich were used as depot ship have a healing skills. French navy had little in the ways of aircraft carriers. Maybe Commandant Teste could fill that role but...again, unlikely.

You mean movement? It is based on your ship speed. If your fleet composed in with speed ship like destroyers, it would likely to have more movement space.

Alberts JR that is because HE guns have better multiplier againts ship armor. But her skill ignore HE multiplier, and have her own special multiplier. So all 3 types of shell should have the same armor multiplier. What we need to take account is just the guns firepower, spread rate, and reload time. She is kinda unique.

FFNF means Free French Naval Forces. Vichya Dominion,i think is the games version of MNF, but meh hell if i know.
