The old man is 100% correct....it's all about the crisp😋
I cannot eat soggy baklava.
I went to Istanbul in Nov 2019, and once eat baklava... I regret it because I only eat once, and now I could't found baklava here in Indonesia... And can't go back to Istanbul too due to pandemic... So sad, I really want to eat baklava again 😭
you can order from the imam cagdas website, the shipping is a bit pricey (not extreme) but the prices are cheap because it's in turkish lira (which is super weak atm).
Grandpa Talat is just so sweet 💚
Amazing baklava, I strongly suggest anyone to try it which I did at Imam Cagdas.
Imam Çağdaş ist beste.

Why they don’t use gloves? But a nice video 😍
Bare hands are actually more hygienic once clean (less chances for cross contamination) & allows for better kneading & fat & flavour incorporation
They bake it and then pour melted sugar over it. What kind of bacteria could survive such temperatures?
