At wood stock -I had to work was in distress!
@Buckeyecat2002
I have found just 3 versions of Funk On A Roll on all of YT - the tune I agree is a hypnotic JB creation - still remember the night he introduced it on Letterman - this one has the guitar gliss breakdown, sax solo by Jeff; but seems like JB hasn't yet decided on the whole lyric, and the 2nd guitar part changes for Vegas DVD version. Pittsburgh and St Luke's videos he doesnt do the song
Who's that Red Head lady, that took over the singing part at 34:38?

It's sad to see Mr. Brown performing at this age.
Why lol? He enjoyed it, he employed a bunch of people and gave joy to millions.
Man it was in his blood he had too!!!!!!
It's great to see him performing! it's great to see everyone performing at any age! That includes You and Me| Life is a performance until you don't!!
that's what he does! he was a soul man!!!!
I'm sure he enjoyed it, and wouldn't have it any other way!
It's that the Hippie Aesthetic couldn't get with his dance grooves. They don't dance. For them it's, exclusively and limited too, the serious singer songwriter musician. So even though Mr. Brown wrote serious songs, the Hippie Aesthetic could stand his funk tracks. So the Hippie Aesthetic didn't like James Brown. For the rest of us - we simply adored the man and his music.
what on earth are those lame backing dancers up to?
