this is great. I'd pay good money to see all the old JGTC footage rescanned and given an energetic english dubbing. Most of us would be watching it with fresh eyes, it's not like most of know who wins.
I remember watching this on screen sports when it was available on SKY back when I was 11. & to think group c was dead within a year after being so great in the 80s
Great racing, makes me sad to think that Group C was on its last legs at the time, wrecked by the disastrous rule changes in the WSPC. The FIA at their absolute worst.
it was also getting way too expensive and alot of teams were complaining, i think they said it was costing them $750,000 in 1991 money to put the car out on track
@@cool3865 my point exactly, f1levels of money required for a series with much less tv coverage and sponshorship. First killed off the customer private teams, then the works teams, then the series itself. A perfect recipe for disaster, Max Mosley style.

bless the japanese for sticking longer with Turbo cars and avoid the 3.5 L crap
they stuck with Group C untill 1993 like everyone else. the only exception was the Porsche 962 in the JGTC for one year
