I am going to be using your videos to learn how to make items and was wondering if you have a file of some kind with the proper dimensions of various leather firefighter helmet shield sizes. I don't want to make it and they are not proper sizes. thanks in advance look forward to more videos and possible tutorials from your work.
How's it going. If you are just getting started I would recommend you get these: Swivel knife, beveler stamp, 3/8 letter stamp, a mallet or maul, box cutter, and number two edger. If you have a local tandy leather or other leather shop they can definitely help you find these.

I use Adobe creative cloud which is $55 a month. You get basically everything Adobe has to offer. Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Lightroom...

What would be a great starter kit for someone just getting started in shield making? Any suggestions to buy a kit, or individual pieces

A good one for numbers is called "ancient". I also like saddlebag, carnivalee freakshow, and IFC railroad
