Never Underestimate Hiruzen. Fought in all 4 great wars and saved tons of lives, 3 of them when he was alive, Can use all 5 elements, awesome fire style and trained the legendary sannin, took on orochimaru one on one and gave peace to Konoha for many years by sealing off orochi's hands, Took on Kurama one on one, has the coolest summoning jutsu . He might not be a good fighter but he was an awesome teacher, he's called " The Professor " for a reason.

@D Dunit tsunade can barely fight orochimaru while hiruzen who is way out of his prime fought orochimaru along with two imperfect reanimations who happens to be the god of shinobi and the 2nd strongest senju. Even if it is an imperfect reanimation, the fact that it is hashirama and tobirama means they're still atleast jonin level. If hiruzen is in his prime, he might even beat alive tobirama. We never saw hiruzen in his prime and what he is capable of.

First jutsu out of the bat and wrong... It was Kakashi transformed as Hiruzen for whole battle. Hiruzen stayed at office what surprised Danzo. So it was Kakashi substitution not Hiruzens.

Imagine if Orochimaru wasn't able to Summon neither Hashirama nor Madara due to them being already reincarnated as Naruto & Sasuke respectively.
Instead Orochimaru summoned Tobirama Senju & Sakumo Hatake to assit him in killing Hiruzen.
Tobirama's Water Jutsus & Sakumo's Lightning release should've complemented each other to push Hirzuen to be Defensive & allowed Orochimaru the freedom to attack at the right opportunity.
It should seem that Hiruzen should stay defensive with the help of his Monkey Summon but it should seem that he'll loose only for Hiruzen to get into a Perfect Snake-Sage Mode.
We should get to know that Orochimaru should've inherited his Ninjutsu & Snake Summon skills from his sensei Hiruzen.
At the end, Hiruzen's Sage mode should've allowed him to overpower Tobirama, Sakumo & Orochimaru to sacrifice himself & seal them albeit only Orochimaru's hands get sealed.

It was too much for him back then but once he used the 2 elements he gave up on the elements jutsus and decided to use reaper seal which requires a huge amount of chakra so he couldve used all the 5 natures at that time but decided to only use 2 for somereason
