Allison Janney, I have always been a fan of your talents but now I am a super fan. Juno and Finding Nemo were 2 fave roles before I looked into West Wing. You are an amazing actor and holy moly you were always attractive and charismatic but as someone the same age as you (I'm 8 months older), you...look...mah-velous. Really stunning!
"What're you thinking about? " "Tomorrow." I watched West Wing this year, 2020. Covid-19 got me to watch these shows that I always thinking to watch, but never did. Love these shows.
My favorite episode was when Bartlet began speaking to Dr. Jenna Jacobs and begins reciting bible verses to show how people pick and choose the parts of the bible they quote. I STILL love watching that part of the episode! ua-cam.com/video/DSXJzybEeJM/v-deo.html
"Their" favorite episodes? Only Allison was asked/answered. The lag makes these "remote" interviews difficult, especially when Stephen likes to interrupt with his conversational style. Everyone who does that style fails at these.
The Sorkin era of the show had so many greats--Two Cathedrals and In the Shadow of Two Gunman--let us see the backstory of these characters. The Shareef arc to end probably its finest season--3. Twenty Hours is often referenced, by me. But the emotional highpoint is "Bartlet for America." The Christmas episodes on this show were tremendous, but I could've stayed in that episode maybe another hour-and-a-half if John Spencer was on-screen as Leo McGarry. The stuff on his drinking...the napkin scenes...joy. That's what this medium is supposed to be.
I'm very much a conservative, but i loved The West Wing! You feel for each of these characters.. I wish they would do a next gen, with CHARLIE as the president
I think my favourite moment (and it is IMPOSSIBLE to choose just one) is when there has been a leak to the press and Toby makes CJ conduct an investigation into who it was. she can't find anyone and eventually goes to Toby to rant. To summarise what she says: I like that there's leaks, its comforting, its how I know the government isn't covering up aliens. so fucking brilliant.
Interestingly, when an actor goes into real politics, many dismiss him/her on the grounds that it's only an actor, or because it's supposed to be intrinsically a liar. Even Reagan carried that stigma. It's not the duty of actors to help the country (they do it already through their work, making us laugh and think), but of all citizens. Like you. In this times it means, do your best to contain the pandemics spread in your close circle, and vote. If you know people who are reluctant to vote, convince them to do it. Thanks for your help.
one of the things I miss most by the way from the old format is Midnight Confessions. Stephen, I'm sure you can present us some of your past sins... or coronavirus specific sins in a slightly different way?
This is vague, so I apologize: there is one white haired older actor that has just a few scenes spread over many episodes. He depicts a Republican Senator. He is never shown as a buffoon or the enemy, but instead as a elder statesman that just wants the 'kids' in the White House to do their jobs better and holds them to that. It isn't about policy, it is about how the West Wing group does their job. I found that a very fair treatment of the opposition party and its intentions. That sense was reflected again when Bartlett invoked the 25th Amendment and handed power to John Goodman's Republican House Speaker. The gravity of the situation was immense for both men and parties.
The set up and end of "Two Cathedrals" still gives me goosebumps. Dire Straits, Brothers in Arms, the rain, anticipation. Perfect season finale.

As a big fan...someone who watches at least one episode each evening and then sleeps to TWW streaming through an earbud, I am thrilled to learn about the theatrical event upcoming with Michelle Obama and others. What a great bunch of humans you all are. Go Joe and Kamala and the rest hoping to get us back to a better place. What’s next?
I've been in love with Martin Sheen all my life.
I love The Women of Qumar too. Glorious.
Oh my goodness, Allison Janey got Women of Qumar pegged perfectly right as season 3, episode 9. What a BOSS. She was the BEST press secretary I’ve seen and I love her little bits of humor as well as her very real moments in West Wing talking about women, feminism and her dad.
+Akhila S ~ I just had a lovely flash of CJ mopping the floor w/the likes of Propaganda Barbie. The massacre would be a beautiful sight to behold - brilliant, scathing, hilarious, and delicious.
Toby being a widower would go a long way to underscore his broodiness
I own the whole series on DVD as it's one of my most favorite TV series. Toss up between it and The News Room. I'm seriously contemplating getting HBO Max just because of the reunion show.
Nostalgia for A TV show President and regret over a Reality Show President. America you have lost your Way.
Did you know that if someone dies completely from something different from covid-19 e.g a car accident, as long as the person was tested positive for covid-19, it would be marked as a covid-19 death?

@@somedude9038 Denial of reality is a bigger threat than a disease. IIntercourse off.
@@somedude9038 Yeah, thats not how that works.
Un vrais moments de plaisir et de joie.merci 😀
After seeing the HBO Max West Wing reading with everyone of the cast, I really miss the show.
Episode 10 series 1 , Toby and the Vet’s death , the end at Arlington, along with Christmas , funny , heartbreaking , wonderful 🇬🇧
I finished this series last month. What a great ride.
GOAT show will bring the West Wing dream alive irl.
I know it’s kind of dumb, but I could watch the pilot a million times. For me no other ep is so rewatchable. It’s like a great movie.
"Boy, those were the days, huh?"
I own all of it. Jimmy was AWESOME.
The Butterball Turkey episode!!!😂
Omg please bring this show back!
Pilot last 2 scenes - best Bartlett line ever!
I LOVE Allison's hair. Very sophisticated.
"What're you thinking about? "
"Tomorrow."
I watched West Wing this year, 2020. Covid-19 got me to watch these shows that I always thinking to watch, but never did.
Love these shows.
I like the president putting on his jacket because it makes erbs palsy look cool.
Love Martin saying I'm a practicing catholic....I keep practicing because I can't get it right
My favorite episode was when Bartlet began speaking to Dr. Jenna Jacobs and begins reciting bible verses to show how people pick and choose the parts of the bible they quote. I STILL love watching that part of the episode! ua-cam.com/video/DSXJzybEeJM/v-deo.html
I love Allison
3:45 looking great and that necklace is popular now!
I love Galileo 5 so much. Feel like it never gets any love
I’ve watch the entire series three times I love this series it shows be reboot and bring some of them back .
I'm very much a conservative, but i loved The West Wing! You feel for each of these characters.. I wish they would do a next gen, with CHARLIE as the president
The Jackal.
I love this show. BUT i don't get to live off it, lol. Thanks. You taught me.
I'm a fan. Of all yall. Please help our country. DON'T JUST PRETEND.
"When the president enters a room, NO ONE sits"...... Bartlett talking to a reporter.
Life would be awesome if it was Santos vs Vinick this November
The special was so goood!
So many good episodes its impossible for me to choose.
Love his show!
It may be cheesy but when that show was out 20 years ago I thought that Bartlett yelling at God in Latin was something incredibly profound.
Women of Qumar was such a great episode
This was your best! Sunless you want
..
Martin Sheen for President 2020! Like, FOR REAL!!!!
Butterball Hotline is my favorite episode
Don't need religion for morality and I love this show.
Allison Janney is so smart
President Bartlett, CJ, Josh and Toby!
"I'm a practicing Catholic, and still haven't gotten it right, so I continue to practice"
"Sure"
Not surprising since Stephen has said it similarly many times
one of the things I miss most by the way from the old format is Midnight Confessions.
Great necklace VOTE 🗳👏
Please give America President Bartlet 🥺
Best political tv drama EVER
Ignore the polls and trolls!
Vote too big to rig!
Vote country over party!
Vote too save democracy in America!
🇺🇸🇺🇸Biden/Harris 2020🇺🇸🇺🇸
Posted 11 minutes ago! Whoa
I am sad/disappointed that I won't be able to see the non-reunion!
It is free now to EVERYBODY.
Everyone looks like santa
Still waiting for the monologue
Had no idea Jamie Lee Curtis was in the West Wing.
I miss this show. There should be one written with today’s crazy happenings.
What’s with the sporadic uploads? Some people only have access to UA-cam and rely on it to watch your handsomeness!
I loved loved Scandal the best. I loved Kerry Washington being the 'fixer'. Is that what goes on in the WH, only worse ?
Leabee Probably, but with worse clothing
@@srkh8966 🤣,
Allison you're so beautiful. So glad you didn't get that stuff pumped in your face like so many have done.
