They make it a point of setting the bar higher every console generation for New God of war games and this reveal trailer literally makes the old God of war games look like Mario in comparison and I literally can't wait to play it!!

I think he's probably his adoptive son. The mother probably died before Kratos entered the world and decided to take care of the boy. Notice Kratos constantly ask questions about what knowledge and experience the boy has of hunting. If he was Kratos's son, he would not need to ask questions he would already know the answer to.

What I like about it is how Kratos yells at Atreus when he says only fire when I tell you to fire then takes a deep breath and calms down afterwards.
