This was the biggest treat to all those who have ever played the original series and been fans and supporting it for the franchise. The moment where you’re excited and terrified that the Ghost of Sparta, the God of War, the God-Killer has been forced to return. And as excited as you are about using the Chaos Blades again, your heart breaks for Kratos reliving his past
In my head cannon that wasn’t Athena calling Kratos a monster but instead Kratos giving all his self doubt a form and letting it go so he he can forgive himself.
All the things he did with those blades for years, all the things WE did with those blades for years, do you remember? That's why i cried with this scene. It is so powerfull🤧

Bruh…the GoW series has been one of my favorite game franchises of all time since the first one came out in ‘05. When I tell you I was physically shaking the ENTIRE build-up journey from Freya’s hut to the house, I was SHAKING. I was in such disbelief that the mad lads actually added the Blades of Chaos after all. I literally whooped out loud when Kratos pulled them out and they were wrapped in his old toga. Like, these damn things helped wipe out TWO PANTHEONS (if you include the Titans) and NUMEROUS Greek legends. My husband laughed a bit because the nostalgia alone almost made me cry the first time around. The lack of overall excitement here was just DISRESPECTFUL. 😂
Or a devil who's been latching on you like a parasite and refused to let go for centuries. Then, after years of being able to be separated and not seeing it anymore, paths only lead us back to our reunion all over again
Half of them don't know about blades of chaos...but those aren't blades of chaos...if you were playing gow 3, where athena gave kratos new blades...she called them blades of exile...so i don't know
