I have just bought this. Do you put anything inside of the chicken? Like lemon or herbs? When you say putting butter under the skin, is this all the way around or just along the top part as seen in the video? How much butter did you use in the basting bowl you made? I have never done this before and worried about adding too much butter to it
It has more of a grill takeaway taste rather than a charcoal taste because, well, no charcoal. But it's still a great machine! As for the watch, it was a Garmin Forerunner 45 but I have a different one now.
You mentioned you hoped the pineapple was ripe enough. The method I use here in the States is to pick it up by the spikey leaves and turn it over and smell the stem end. If it smells like pineapple, then it is ripe. If it smells like the refrigerator or no smell at all, then it is not ripe. Saw a vertical rotisserie in a thrift store today, never used, for $55 (£40). But that Cuizen VertiGenius I saw is no longer made, so makes me wonder if it is worth the money. Is the one you use (different brand) still working these many months later?
That's interesting to know about the pineapple! I'll remember that in the future, thanks! And yes, the rotisserie grill is still working! It did have some months in a storage facility while I was looking for somewhere to live but its still going and I want to revisit it again in another video.
For something completely different - what meat thermometer are you using? I've bought a couple of electronic ones that hate me and gave up the ghost really quickly. Was asking about the recipes then realised they were already there, d'oh!
hey matt i got one of those for xmas watched you vid and just notised mine hasent got red power light and if you put wooden skewer in the hole theres nothing there ?????? it works fine but coil heater turns on and off
I have to say I was a bit disappointed halfway thru this video for you not choosing to use a specific song...and then the ending happened XD Brilliant as always.
Apologies for the delayed reply! Honestly? No idea. I love making Indian food and don't have any way of removing fumes or odour either, so I just go ahead and do it. I find it lingers for a bit, but will eventually go. If you're making it daily, however, that may be another matter. If you have an extractor fan above your hob, then that may help minimise the odour.
Just ordered one....so excited to try it out! Can you do a fish recipe on it? Thank you
I am hoping to revisit this in a video so I'll certainly try and do fish next time!

does the taste of the meat have a charcoal taste ? Or close to a real grill takeaway ?. .. your watch looks cool whats the name and model .

I just got one of Amazon which isn't available anymore, but it's very similar to this one: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00SKC24D6/ref=dp_prsubs_1

How was the energy usage for this rotisserie? Did you notice a significant spike in your electrics rate?
I have no idea but I imagine it was negligible, especially as you're not going to use it for hours on end.
@@BigFoodieGeek Thanks for the reply.
My son has got one and it was drawing 0.9kwh but his solar panels were making .5 of a kwh on a cloudy miserable day
Excellent thank you
Super! Can you try making some Picanha steaks on this if possible please!
Great video thanks
Can you make shawarma on it?
I don't know, but I can certainly try and if it's a success then I'll make a video or a short about it!
Yes you can. It comes with an instruction booklet and has recipes for shawarma.
How to clean out? Big effort?
It's a bit of a pain, but not too bad. I haven't used it for a while, so need to refamiliarise myself with it!

The British mangle everything,,you murdered that pineapple
You can tell that all the way up on your Internet high horse can you?
@@BigFoodieGeek that plus a week in London,, before it became Londonstan
@@thomaskelly336 ah so you're a racist asshole instead of just an asshole. Makes sense. Go watch a channel where they tolerate your BS.
That pineapple 🍍 🤤
Don’t apologize to vegetarians and vegans it’s their choice they are missing out
I love making Indian food and grill but my kitchen doesn't have fumes or odors remover what trick or gadgets exists to solve this?

Bought this grill... After 2 month no grill, and no money... Think about it!
Where did you order from? I'd take it up with them rather than comment on a video of someone testing one they bought with their own money.
Are you still kickin?
Hanging in there! Haven't been able to do videos as often as I'd like but I'm trying my best!
