Let's all bow our heads in respect to what once was Paris' bangs. May the person who cut her hair step on a sharp ass Lego at 3:00am. Loving the project so far! So awesome seeing the daughter be so pumped about fixing it up too.
I enjoy the fact that this and most Bucky's builds aren't all, trash old parts and buy all new. Save what you can save and learn in the process! Love the build, hope to tackle something like this with my daughters 8-10 years from now
Nice work you two. That's going to be a tricky fix on the sunroof. Be careful not to get into the same conditions with leaks that cause the rust. (alignment)
The seats look good. Every time I use the blaster at work I end up shocking my nose from static electricity. 5:21 Pro Tip: if you touch metal in the white/rare after blasting without gloves the oil from your hands will leave fingerprints in the metal, and you will see them in the paint job. Acetone or Brake cleaner work get for cleaning metal before painting.
We get it, Paris. Just be happy you are still able to grow a full head of luscious hair unlike 40-50% of this comments section I assume XD (me included...)
It’s funny in Australia these were called a brumby from memory..... since watching this I’ve seen a few maybe I’m just paying more attention but it’s like seen none in ten years or more ..... awesome
Bucky you gotta get a small vapor blaster so much better than media blasting an they make a unit small for your garage every part you have can be cleaned to oem love the vids bro longtime fan you slay
This is the part where I would be like, what have I gotten my self into. I can't wait to see how the Brat turns out though. Keep up the fun content. Love the channel. 👊
Luv this project! Great father/daughter memories being built along side the brat(built not bought, sorry, couldn't resist). Going to be bummed when the project is over, but the bright side is she'll have a badass ride.👍
Remember last year when I called you “Knoxville” ALL YEAR?, man you were a good sport about that! 6:15 Yeah... but how’d it smoke? Her enthusiasm and Elbow Grease is infectious. Vive le Projet morveuse! Long Live Project Brat...en francais!
I love this building a car with your daughter you're a great dad and that bit of rust, i'd of made that part on the roof being from the uk its hard to find brats, if you do they're unsaveable i've wanted one since i was a child
Loving this project so far!! You should both have a camera and record yourselves. I think you could get to 15 minutes videos easily. I'm missing more footage 😁 You guys rock! 🤘
Love what you done with the rear seats... I wonder if you can spray that same stoneguard to plastic parts worn out... There's a plastic panel bellow the wiper blade on my car that really needs some repair
Just started watching you’re channel recently I had no idea you were the skate pro Bucky lasek lol good stuff bro I hope when my daughter gets older I can do a car build with her as well .🙏🏼
Old skateboarder, long time fan, gear head, & old dad. I love this guys, keep more coming!!!! I’m guessing since you changed the oil, you r planning on keeping original motor? Any plans to build it? Keep up the great work!
So excited to see where this goes! Was cruising through Big Pine, CA and saw a gray Brat in what looked like the usual desert junk yard. 37.156247, -118.288876 Copy that into google maps street view and you should see some signage. Not many Brats left so figured any leads on parts cars are worth posting.
Paris couldn't look bad, but still wrenching away like a Boss is commendable! The T-top is gonna look sick & fun to use when completed. Really awesome how you shout out recommendations for specialty work done for the projects so the audience can seek them out too. I'm so pumped to maybe start my own resto-mod 80s project car, fingers crossed🤞I can get the mk2 supra
As for the roof, it IS salvagable, however I think it would take some talent/time to repair those sections. So yeah if you got a fresher looking roof panel... awesome sauce! It was highly satisfying to watch the seats go from "Forgotten carnival" to "NEW" !!!! (Like #42 - Thanks for the all the Fish!)
Aw you still look great Paris!
Thank you!

why have i never thought of that zip lock bag trick for epoxy? this is why i love youtube.
It’ll grow back before you know it! We’ve all been there 🤣
Mikes the guy for Subaru BRAT parts. Really nice guy.
Seriously enjoying this build. Only thing I'm bummed about is I wish the vids were longer lol Looking forward to seeing the final product. Cheers!
I try and keep them entertaining, usually between 10-20 minutes but don’t want to bore you with everything.
Thanks for the inspiration Bucky, im now halfway through getting my bugeye sti back on the road after sitting for almost 5years with a blown engine.
Get after it and good luck!👊🏼

Honestly that’s what I really enjoy doing is saving things that most wouldn’t think of.
@@BuckyLasekOfficial Agree. This is where the real talent and real ingenuity get to come out and play. 🎈

Love it. My 14 year old son and I are restoring a 98 legacy gt wagon for him. Looking forward to more on this.
This is my favorite project on youtube right now!
Digging her enthusiasm. She's gonna appreciate this subie so much more with all the sweat equity in it
I agree, I most likely won’t be gifted this one. 😂

Got yourself some tin worm there matey.
Just a small can though👍🏼😉
Nice guys. Looking forward to seeing more progress. Hopefully Paris's hair recovers in time for more episodes.
Pretty sure this build is what inspired me to pick up the Tamiya version of this recently - fun car!
Nice!!
Love it still! Thank you two! And where do I get the camo-sleeve hoodie (for a dude) that shes wearing at the end of the video?
You’d have to ask my other daughters boyfriend, it was his.
LoL..."Recovering from a Bad Haircut...Just imagine Will from Stranger Things"....Hahahaa...Thats funny....Hope Paris recovered!
Buck yeaaa lots of progress 👏👌
ben waiting all week for the next episode

Put 'er in the garage to reduce your sun exposure; Summer is a comin'...
Rad brat man! There is a few decent brats on ebay, currently.. like around $4k ea.
I should have bought one of those instead 😂

I kinda want to see the merc wheels on the brat for some reason...
Haha
Well, at least you didn't have a dead mouse behind the dash.
He left all his furnishings though.
bucking awesome
I don't think they have them back seats in the Australian Brumby (The Aussie BRAT) and I've never seen an Australian Brumby with a T- top roof either.
I had a T-top in the 90s, they made my car hot.
Buck yeah
Brat go brap

Very gratifying to restore it rather than throwing it out👍🏼😉
I would do away with the moonroof it would make the repair so much easier
Missed ya at SnoDrift. Did you end up not going? It was a slippery one
Team canceled due to the Texas roads being 💩
Yeahhhhh the brat 🤙🏼
I haven't seen a brat in a long, long time. No plans for a modern engine swap?
EJ22 Conversion!
I’d rather keep or rebuild the stock EA for now to keep costs down but maybe in the future it will see a nice swap.
Hey bucky what happened to your M3 that you showed in 411vm?
Been through a few cars since then 👍🏼
