Oh, Great UA-cam god of the Algorithm, hear my prayer! I offer you this comment, in the hopes that you spread this video far and wide and let all know of the horrors of kelp
Reminds me of when I was draining an ocean up to render distance. One of the 1st things I did was swim around chunk by chunk to remove all the kelp manually so I didn't have to deal with any of this pain.
23:30 Another design compromise could be to replace the glass block next to the piston with honey and then attach the observer to the honey directly above the piston. It would get stuck easier, tough.
I hope you won't forget that turtle eggs will advance one step when they're on sand blocks, meaning you may once encounter a lot of turtles in the nether tunnel...
One idea I had was to use the snapshot 20W-infinite and do a full survival world in it. It would be fun with all the items you can get from the worlds.
ilmango I know this is super late but I think you can birth turtles faster if you put all 4 eggs in the same spot- they'll all hatch at once so you get 4 turtles for the -randomtick- duration it took to hatch the egg instead of having to hit 4 individual egg -randomtick- duration. Love all you do, thanks for making awesome content :)
You can actually mine a turtle egg that hasn't advanced in stage and place it near an almost hatched one since all eggs in a cluster hatch at the same time, it makes it a lot faster.
Ilmango, you can make half of this duper flying machine from honey, only duper part need to have slime, other half can be from honey. This easily can save you 5 slime blocks Also u can try to have pistons pushing backwards to prevent kelp growing
I was just wondering if it was possible to design a perimeter maker that DOESNT need trenches Like maybe if the tnt dupers also removes blocks under the push down part It MUST be possible right? Even just one without the sweepers? If it's all on land I dont think people would mind that much having to remove a couple of small lakes instead of making those trenches It would save a lot of time, and I honestly think people make these more often if it didnt need those trenches
nah. it might save the effort of making trenches, but since that can be mostly automated, you actually only save on afk time and would most likely add manual time. you might want to check through the videos of some of the lesser known scicrafters (and SC friends). some of them have nice perimeter maker designs.
Yeah and a design like that would be kinda hard because you would need sweepers for the trench makers (if you use tnt) which would require mini trenches. But it may save some digging.
23:30 wouldn't it also be an option to switch the glass block to the right of the piston with a honeyblock? sure, it looks less clean, but that way there shouldn't be any risk of honeyblocks touching. Right?
I know this is a year late, but I think on the original World Eater design you intentionally put the extra slime block on the dupers to satisfy the push limit, that way they stop when they hit the other end of the machine.
Hey Mango, how do you coordinate Lightmatica builds? Do you just share the coordinates and orientation every time and each person loads the schematic in separately?
I'm pretty sure that's what they do, just send everyone the file and give them the coordinates and rotation. At least I can't really think of an alternative
Nice vid, I love every video you make, but could you make the replay a little less wobbly, I get motion and then I have to skip timelapse which I normally love
The issue you are having with kelp is the same which happened (just once in 2 months) with my bamboo farm. It's the same machine doing almost the same work. But I can imagine you have totally different scale here.
Oh no now i got it. The chances of kelp growing in the spilling water is way higher than a bamboo instantly growing between the pusher and the puller of a flying machine. And the consequences on your work schedule are worst too.
Could we get a world download for the improved World Eater please? Or maybe just the schematic, so we can start building it in our survival world right away. Would appreciate it! Awesome design as usual.
Would work. Scales up interestingly at best. Placing them on the other side of the wall and letting the wall be blown up would be asked but the effort wouldn’t be worth it. At least I don’t think it would. Nice problem solving though
The issue with that idea is, that the inner wall of the trench needs to be exploded by the world eater later. Those water-logged blocks would need to be removed from the inside wall after the trencher ran.
You and your crew are awesome ilmango. But honestly, I'd watch your minecraft character take a video game deuce for 30 minutes just to hear that piece of music you play at the end. This vid ended oddly quiet without it.
