I have the same exact reel paired with a A 7ft Legend Inshore.. put 12lb p-line cx Preminum on it and I pulled in 10-12 pound striper over the weekend with it like a dream..
I already own the 19' 2500s and the c3000mhg so I didn't get the 23' in the 3000 size. I did buy the 23' Vanquish c2000s and c2000shg to match with my 19' c2000s and c2000shg and the only downside with the 23' is the inertia isn't quite a free floating feeling as the 19' model, otherwise everything else is improved. The line lay, line management and casting is flawless on the 23' model.
@@TeppanGod What I meant to say is that across the board the 19' model is easier to turn than the 23' model's. I think Shimano did something with the gearing on the 23' to make it stronger but not quite as free floating as the 19'. It's still a hell of a reel though.
@@GregClaud the twin is a core solid reel. You can use it for everything. Especially structure fishing / heavier drag settings. The vanquish is a great open water / finesse reel
@@artificialslinger9730 If I was going to use it for redfish, flounder, speckled trout .. throwing popping cork or throwing 1/4oz jigs which would you recommend
I love my Stella. The Vanquish is too light. My rods end up being tip heavy balance wise unless its a 4000 Vanquish on my new NRX+ Inshore that just came out.
@@artificialslinger9730 I just bought another Stella yesterday lol. But the same technology is in the new Vanquish and Stradic FM 2023 models. Depending on how much you wanna spend 200$ vs 400$.
Just bought c3000mhg and when i hold the rotor and move / wiggle the reel arm it has play. Loose with the gear it feels like. My stellas have a tad bit but not as much as this. Do you have this issue?
No , nothing like that. Unfortunately with anything that's manufactured some reels can get past the last inspection before shipment. My Stella FJs are solid as well. I'm gonna be doing a update video on this reel here shortly.
Could you hold the roto and wiggle the handle to show how much movement there is. I have 3 stella fks and they all have a slight movement but the vanquish is a bit more like twice as much. I assumed due to the lighter build

Thanks so much for the information - really appreciate your review as I’m interested in getting this for river smallmouth bass fishing!
You'll absolutely love it. Definitely my #1 reel now.
I love mine as well cast far light weight it's a perfect reel
Absolutely love the 2019 model. I know I'm gonna love this model. Probably won't get out on the water until next weekend with it

That's good information to hear. Definitely looking to use my 23 Vanquish here soon. Just waiting for a rod to get done for it.
i bought the 1000ssspg and put on a c2000s handle on it and made the resistance go away. a youtuber on here recommended it and it worked.

@@philipfalco7304 ah yeah, they did change it. I believe it's something they did to make the slow oscillation of the spool.
Which do you like more, the 2024 twin power fe or this vanquish?

Yeah it all goes based off the rod for sure. Both reels are fantastic. Won't own another Stella though.

I bought this exact model.. do you know how many yard of 10lb sufix 832 would fit on it?
Thank you
Not sure. But I know with Cortland line 10lb I get roughly almost 200 yards. But I used a piece of tape vs using backing

Also gears don't seem as smooth as the Stella's but could need some break in I suppose
@@bretlai8746 yeah Ill definitely do that on camera. Yeah most Shimanos need a breaking in period.
How many yards of 10lb test mono would this model carry?
Typical Shimano 3000 spool about 200 to 220 yards depending if you use backing or how much backing you use.
Update on the reel??
Probably the next week or 2.
